SWISS DJ's homepage explains why business has gotten harder by naming its own rivals outright: Tablerockers, and 2 collectives it calls "Zusammenschlüsse von einzelnen DJs" (associations of individual DJs), Dein DJ and DJ Wedding. 2 of the 3, Tablerockers and DJ Wedding, are elsewhere in this same guide, so that isn't a boast a reader has to take on faith; it's a claim a couple can click over and check for themselves. SWISS DJ adds a jab at the ones it won't name, "ein paar schwarze Schäfli, die es nicht so genau nehmen," a few black sheep who aren't as careful. The paperwork behind the brand is just as specific: the Impressum names the operating company as SWISS ARTIST GmbH, registered at Gellerstrasse 37 in Beringen, with Flavia Zucca listed as Geschäftsleiterin und Inhaberin, managing director and owner.

Flavia Zucca also turns up one page over, on the homepage's own roster grid of named acts and starting evening fees: DJ Charles from CHF 1,690, DJ Ranni and Naomi both from CHF 1,590, DJ Alex and Monica from CHF 1,390, DJ Manoss and DJ Basti P from CHF 1,290, and Flavia Zucca herself from CHF 1,390 as a "DJane, Sängerin & Traurednerin," a DJ, singer and wedding celebrant in one act. The agency, "seit 2006 im Business," says it places more than 50 DJs from 20 different nations in total; the 8 names on the homepage are a sample of that, not the roster. Naomi carries the same Traurednerin credit as Flavia Zucca. In Switzerland only a civil registrar performs a legally binding marriage, and only wherever the canton has approved, so what a Traurednerin actually sells is the ceremony a couple stages for their guests, not the paperwork behind it. Nothing on SWISS DJ's own site claims otherwise: no page says a booked act performs the legal act itself.

The agency frames its job as matching rather than pure booking. "Da wir keine reine Online-Platform, sondern eine klassische Künstlervermittlung sind, fällt es uns sehr leicht, den perfekten Match zu finden," it says, because it is a traditional artist agency rather than a booking platform, finding the right match comes easily. A couple gets a consultation with an event manager before any name is proposed, and the pitch is wedding-first: what separates a wedding set from a club set, in the site's own words, is that "wenn wir auf einer Hochzeitsparty gebucht werden, stehst allein du im Mittelpunkt," when booked for a wedding party, the couple alone is the centre of attention. The stated repertoire runs "von Pop, Soul, HipHop über Elektro bis hin zu R'n'B... von Schlagern über Mundart bis hin zu Klassik, Jazz, Reggae oder Punk," pop through soul, hip hop, electro and R&B, schlager through Swiss-German Mundart to classical, jazz, reggae and punk. Nothing on the site says what a given DJ won't play. The whole pitch runs the other way: bring the request, and the agency will have someone in its roster who covers it.

From the aperitif to the last dance, on the site's own recommendation

SWISS DJ's copy recommends booking a DJ from dinner onward at minimum, "Wir empfehlen, den DJ bereits zum Nachtessen zu buchen," and says its acts are often present earlier still, for the aperitif or even the ceremony itself, "Oftmals ist der DJ auch schon beim Apéro oder sogar zur Begleitung der Zeremonie dabei." Setup and soundcheck happen about an hour before the music starts. What arrives with the booked act, per the site's own equipment list, is DJ gear (a laptop and mixer), a sound system rated for up to 100 guests, a light stand with LED effects, ambient lighting and a wireless microphone, useful for toasts and for the wedding-games MC-ing the agency also offers on request. Most DJs work an 8-hour package.

What a wedding DJ from SWISS DJ costs, and what that buys

The dedicated pricing page states the wedding-DJ range plainly: "Ein Hochzeits DJ kostet je nach Spieldauer, Equipment & Lokation zwischen CHF 1 190.- und CHF 2 500.-," a wedding DJ costs between CHF 1,190 and CHF 2,500 depending on how long you book, the equipment and the venue. The separate hochzeits-dj page gives a different floor twice over: CHF 1,090 in its own page title and CHF 1,100 in its own body copy, both against the same CHF 2,500 ceiling. All 3 figures sit on live pages today, and none of them are reconciled anywhere on the site. Where the 2 pages agree: pricing is "all-inklusive," covering the agreed presence time, the matching DJ and sound gear, travel and expenses, and every DJ turns up with equipment the site values at CHF 6,000 to CHF 15,000. The pricing page is also specific about what the package buys in hours: "Die Party mit dem Eröffnungstanz startet meist nicht vor 21:30 Uhr," the party with the opening dance usually doesn't start before 21:30, and "In den meisten Locations ist gegen 02.00 Uhr Sperrstunde," most venues run to a 02:00 curfew, which brackets an 8-hour booking almost exactly. No minimum guest count and no recommended booking lead time appear anywhere on the pricing page, the FAQ or the booking-process page.

An hour's travel is included, then Valais, Ticino and Graubünden aren't

The pricing page folds up to an hour of travel into the quoted price, "Bis zu einer Stunde Anfahrt sind im Preis enthalten," and warns that anything further raises the price and can require an overnight stay for the DJ, "Bei weiteren Distanzen wird der Preis etwas höher und eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit kann benötigt werden." The FAQ narrows that down by name: "Im Wallis, Tessin und Bündnerland fallen Anfahrtskosten an," travel costs apply in Valais, Ticino and Graubünden, implying most of the rest of the country doesn't attract one. The same FAQ makes a claim that reaches well past Switzerland: "Unsere Bookings haben uns über alle angrenzenden Länder, Griechenland und bis nach Thailand geführt," bookings that have taken the agency through every neighbouring country, Greece, and as far as Thailand. For a couple pulling a guest list in from several countries, that is a specific claim about reach rather than a vague one about willingness to travel, though the site gives no separate pricing for a booking outside Switzerland.

German on every page checked, multilingual MC only on request

Nothing on swissdj.ch is published in English: the /en/ path returns a 404, and the booking process itself, the contact form, the WhatsApp line, the phone consultation, runs in German on every page checked. The only language commitment made anywhere in the wedding copy is that MC-ing for games and toasts is available "gerne auch mehrsprachig," gladly multilingual, on request, without naming which languages that covers. For a couple planning entirely in English, the first conversation with SWISS DJ will likely start in German, and whether a specific booked act can run the evening's own announcements in English is a question for that consultation call, not something the site settles in advance.

A #1 claim on Zankyou, and a review widget that doesn't match the homepage

SWISS DJ's biggest claim is a ranking, not a number: "#1 DJ Service auf Zankyou.ch," on what it calls Switzerland's biggest wedding portal, alongside more than 5,000 weddings played since 2006. Its own review counts don't back each other up. A widget on the hochzeits-dj page reads "Excellent, 4.9, Based on 411 reviews," while the homepage separately says it's still working toward "bald 100 TOP Google Bewertungen," a smaller, different figure the site never reconciles with the widget. It also promises a stand-in act if the booked one falls ill, "stets ein gleichwertiger Ersatz auf Abruf bereitsteht," though a fuller version of that same guarantee belongs to another agency in this guide. None of that changes what a couple actually needs from the first call: which of the 3 published starting prices applies to their date, and whether the specific act they like can run the evening in English.
