Working from Thalwil on the lake south of Zurich, Bartender On Duty offers three ways in. There's a staffed mobile bar that needs no power or water hookup, pre-mixed cocktail kegs you tap yourself if you'd rather skip the staff, and freelance bartenders for hire. They keep three to five cocktails on rotation made with house syrups and infused spirits, and bring everything down to the glasses and garnishes.

They bring two portable bars plus a branded pavilion if you're outdoors, and mix both cocktails and alcohol-free mocktails to order. They'll also run a gin tasting or a short mixology session for guests who want one.

Easyflair has been working Geneva and French-speaking Switzerland since 2009, and the twist here is flair bartending, with juggling and a bit of theatre while the drinks go together. They set up a bar station to your spec and bring the bartenders, the glasses and the drinks themselves, from mocktails through champagne to whisky. The site runs in French and English.

Volketswil, Zurich region
Fahrbar serves out of a converted horse wagon, run by a young team based in Volketswil who are busiest around Zurich, Winterthur, Uster and Wetzikon. They mix cocktails fresh and also pour wine, beer, prosecco and soft drinks, and the staff come as part of the deal rather than an extra you arrange. They'll travel further across the country when a booking calls for it.

NEROBAR's main draw is a horse trailer rebuilt by hand into a working bar, the kind of thing that doubles as a backdrop in the photos. They take it anywhere in the country and pour drinks for you and your guests through the evening. There's also a smaller NEROBAR mini that fits indoors when the trailer won't, so a barn or a tight courtyard still works.

G&G runs a mobile cocktail bar out of Lucerne and reaches Basel, Bern, Biel, St. Gallen, Schaffhausen and Zurich. The bartenders put on a bit of a show while they work, mixing in front of guests, and they pour alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks plus coffee specialities. It's a good fit for a central Switzerland wedding where you want the bar to be part of the entertainment.

Based in Lyss, Nach-Bar covers the Bern and Seeland area with a six-metre bar trailer they renovated themselves. Inside it's set up with fridges, a freezer, a tap system and a proper counter, so it can run as a cocktail bar or a straightforward beer wagon depending on what you want. You can book it with or without staff, which suits couples who'd rather pour their own and keep the cost down.

This one's a restored VW T2 Bulli kitted out as a bar, with a built-in sound system if you want music coming off it too. They pour cocktails, cold beer and soft drinks, plus a house ice tea and a spritz of their own. Hire the van on its own, or add the drinks and staff for a full service.

Kilchberg, Zurich region
Zund-Bar works the Zurich area from Kilchberg and brings either a mobile trailer bar or a slimmer indoor version for venues that can't take the trailer. Guests pick from up to five cocktails or longdrinks mixed fresh on the night, and the package folds in the glasses, juices, spirits, ice and the bartenders. They've handled destination weddings as well as parties closer to home.
