Castello del Sole

Castello del Sole sits on a 140-hectare estate at Ascona, running right down to Lake Maggiore with its own private beach and gardens. The grounds include the Cantina alla Maggia winery, so the estate grows and bottles its own wine, and the Ticino climate keeps outdoor space usable later into the year than most of Switzerland.

Dining is handled in-house across the estate's restaurants, from the Locanda Barbarossa to lighter options by the beach and the winery's own table. Beyond the meal there is a spa of around 2,500 square metres, horse riding on the property and a boat service for arrivals on the lake, which gives a wedding party plenty to do beyond the ceremony.
