Die Fotokabine rents its own Dolder photo boxes, built and developed in the Appenzell region, and ships them by post so they arrive a day or two before the event. Setup is meant to be plug and play: slot three parts together, plug in the power, and the booth is ready in about three minutes. There is no WiFi to wrangle, since the higher models carry an onboard 4G SIM for internet. After the event you stick on the prepaid return label and drop the box at the post office.

The range covers four models. The entry-level Mini suits smaller gatherings and shoots single photos and three-photo collages with a bright light ring. The Pro Rainbow adds boomerang videos and a rainbow light effect, and the Pro Mobile steps up to a professional camera and studio flash with single photos, collages and GIFs. Every layout can be personalised with your own text and date, and a fast printer is available as an option that hands over a print in around eight seconds. Each booking includes a password-protected online gallery, and the company has been renting booths since 2008, with weddings in Ticino served alongside the rest of the country.
