Lumiboo
Tap a star to rate
Lumiboo is a photo booth rental company based in Ecublens, near Lausanne, that designs and builds its own premium booth in Switzerland and rents it for weddings, company events, festivals, birthdays and trade shows. Booking runs online, prices are published per event, and the booth is collected from one of several pickup points in French-speaking Switzerland or delivered as an option. The site is available in English, French, German and Italian, and the company behind it is LUMIBOO SA.
A booth built in Vaud
Lumiboo makes a point of where its booth comes from. The English page says all its photo booths are designed and manufactured in Switzerland, and that the woodworking is done by a local professional joiner in the canton of Vaud, around 900m from the company's premises. The French homepage adds that the product was created from the team's experience as designers and professional photographers, that it is 100% locally produced, and that Lumiboo carries the SWISS MADE label.
The component list is specific. A professional camera with 24Mp, a flash "for perfect luminosity and rendering in all circumstances", a Surface Pro 9 tablet running the booth, a professional thermal printer that prints in 8 seconds, and tripods in the same design as the booth for stability and easy assembly. The site describes the housing as a compact "smart construction" with everything inside.
The company states its mission as offering the most satisfying photo booth solution in Switzerland, and the French homepage speaks of state-of-the-art equipment and experienced staff, with a wish to deliver high quality while staying close to its customers. The tone of the whole site is informal: the French pages address the reader as "tu", and the brand line is "Illumine tes soirées" (light up your evenings).
Three plans, one price per event
The English booking page shows three plans, each priced per event:
- Light, CHF 599, with 400 prints
- Pro, CHF 699, with 800 prints, marked as the most popular
- Ultra, CHF 749, with unlimited prints
Every plan includes unlimited photos, a private online gallery that can be shared, trendy eyewear as props, remote support and customization, which the French page explains as adding the text of the couple's choice to the photos, such as first names or a date. The site states that everything is included in the rental price except optional delivery. The remote support is literal: the French page says that if a renter needs help, the team takes control of the booth remotely.
Pickup points and the showroom
Lumiboo's homepage lists its pickup points: two in Vaud (Ecublens and Vich), two in Valais (Saxon and Muraz), one in Fribourg, two in the canton of Neuchâtel (Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds) and one in Geneva. For a couple in Romandie that means collecting the booth close to home and setting it up themselves with the tripods. Delivery is described only as optional, and the site does not say where it delivers or what it costs.
The showroom at Chemin de Verney 2 in Ecublens is open by appointment for anyone who wants to try the booth before booking. The contact routes are the phone number +41 77 465 23 55, the email address hello@lumiboo.ch or the contact form on the homepage.
What past clients said
The homepage shows reviews verified by Trustindex as coming from Google, with a rating of "EXCELLENT" based on 187 reviews. The most useful for readers of this site comes from a couple who married in Italy and rented the booth from Lumiboo. They describe "une équipe dynamique et flexible" (a dynamic, flexible team) whom they first met at a wedding fair, a pickup point close to home, and a team that was "très compréhensifs pour la prise en charge et la restitution" (very understanding about collection and return) because the wedding was abroad. They found the booth very easy to install, mention occasional small printing hiccups that were manageable, and say they received the complete file the next day.
Another reviewer called the booth "un excellent complément à la présence d'un photographe" (an excellent complement to having a photographer). The same reviewer wrote that the guestbook was now full of gems and that it was a pleasure to see the mood of the day unfold in the pictures. A client who ran a sponsor's activation stand with Lumiboo at the Venoge Festival praised the product quality and the follow-up from team members Jimmy and Fabrice, and a couple who used it at their wedding singled out the quality of the camera and how much their guests enjoyed it.
Booking
The booking flow starts with the type of event (wedding, company, festival, birthday, trade show or other) and then the plan. The site's phrase is "Choose your occasion, we take care of the rest." Payments are described as secure, and the terms and conditions are linked from every page.
What the site does not settle
The main gap is logistics. The site does not describe delivery at all beyond calling it optional, so a couple marrying outside Romandie, or in the mountains, needs to ask whether Lumiboo delivers there and at what price, or plan to collect the booth from a pickup point and transport it themselves. The site also does not say how long a rental lasts, when the booth must be returned, whether a deposit is taken, or what space and power the booth needs. The site mentions no attendant at the event, only remote support, so couples should ask whether anyone from Lumiboo can be present on the day.
Who it suits
Lumiboo suits couples in French-speaking Switzerland who want a well-designed booth with a good camera, a published price and online booking in their own language, and who are comfortable picking up the booth and setting it up. The plans differ only in print volume, so choosing is simple: Light for a smaller party, Ultra when nobody wants to count prints. The Italy review is a useful sign that the team has handled a wedding abroad.
It suits less well couples who want the booth brought, set up and staffed for them, or who are marrying far from the pickup points, since delivery is neither priced nor described on the site.
