MissionLove
Tap a star to rate
MissionLove is the celebrant business of Manuela, a free wedding celebrant (freie Traurednerin) with a contact address at Köllikerstrasse 5 in Oberentfelden. Her tagline, in English on the site, is "Your celebrant since 2015". She says she has accompanied more than 380 couples since then, in Switzerland and at locations abroad, and she lists 8 languages she works with. For an international or mixed-language couple, that combination is the main reason to look at her.
Her story and her approach
On the homepage she writes that MissionLove began when she was looking for a multilingual ceremony for her own wedding, and that it has since become a large part of her life. She describes herself as a celebrant, language enthusiast, traveler and storyteller.
Her headline sums up the approach: «Es geht nicht um irgendeine schöne Traurede. Es geht um eure Geschichte.» (It is not about just any nice wedding speech. It is about your story.) She says the ceremony is about the little things only the couple can laugh at, the people who shaped them, different languages, cultures and families, and a ceremony in which guests forget at some point that they are listening to a "wedding speech".
Under the heading "Über 380 Geschichten. Und keine zweimal erzählt." (over 380 stories, none told twice) she promises no templates and no interchangeable speeches. For each ceremony she takes time to get to know the couple, and the ceremony grows from their conversations, their answers and the small stories in between. She puts the tone in three lines: «Emotional, aber nicht kitschig. Humorvoll, aber niemals aufgesetzt. Persönlich, aber nie unangenehm.» (emotional but not cheesy, humorous but never forced, personal but never awkward). A ceremony lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, the site says.
Eight languages in one ceremony
The languages listed are Schweizerdeutsch, Hochdeutsch, English, Français, Italiano, Español, Português and Srpskohrvatski. What she offers is not a translation of the same text sentence by sentence. (The languages are combined so that a natural ceremony emerges that stays lively and takes as many guests along as possible. Because a language should never be a border at a wedding.)
The page speaks directly to couples from different countries, families on different sides of the world, and couples marrying in Switzerland who want their international guests to feel part of it. The site itself has a DE/EN switch, so the offer is readable in English.
What she offers
- Freie Trauung: the free wedding ceremony.
- Mehrsprachige Trauungen: multilingual ceremonies.
- Destination Weddings: «Tell me where. I'll be there.» She accompanies international and multilingual destination weddings in Switzerland, in Europe and beyond, both for couples marrying abroad and couples coming to Switzerland.
- Elopement: just the two of you, a personal ceremony at a special place in Switzerland, CHF 1,500, Sunday to Thursday.
- Microwedding: up to 15 guests and a free ceremony developed as individually as a large one, CHF 1,900, Sunday to Thursday.
The page does not give a price for a full-size free ceremony or a destination wedding.
The section introducing these offers asks «Wo möchtet ihr Ja sagen?» (where do you want to say yes?) and suggests a castello in Italy, the seaside or the middle of the Swiss mountains, in a small circle or just the two of you. For her, she writes, there is no single right place for a wedding, only the place that feels right to the couple.
A change from September 2027
The homepage announces «MissionLove goes international». From mid-September 2027 her focus will be destination and international weddings. In Valais, western Switzerland, Graubünden and Ticino she remains regularly bookable for free ceremonies. In German-speaking Switzerland she will accept only a selected number of weddings, for example at certain venues or when the first meeting shows a clear fit, although couples there are still welcome to ask. Couples in German-speaking Switzerland planning for late 2027 or later should keep that in mind.
Reviews
The page shows a 5.0 rating from 61 Google reviews, with a selection quoted. Several are in English. Hannah Patton wrote of her elopement in Switzerland: "She made our ceremony so personal you would have thought she had been in our lives for many years." Madeline Shriver called her "the best officiant we could have asked for" and said she incorporated Swiss traditions into the ceremony. Rebecca Ward, after a destination wedding in Switzerland, found the way she told their story "both captivating and sweet". For a bilingual wedding in Ticino, Elisa and Etienne Spillmann described the ceremony as «romantisch, lustig, aber auch herzerwärmend» (romantic, funny, but also heartwarming). Kay Lo wrote that the ceremony was "incredibly personalized" and that they heard their own story rather than something generic, and Alexander Furer said she struck exactly the right tone, emotional but not overloaded. Other reviews mention a wedding at a château in Autricourt, and the site shows a ceremony photo from Vitznau on Lake Lucerne.
The site also links to a film, "10 Jahre MissionLove", credited to Manuela Lopatic-Hafner, and to a podcast episode (Hochzytskafi, episode 48) on multicultural weddings.
Contact
Requests go through the site's inquiry page, which asks where and when you want to marry, in which languages, and who you are. Contact is also possible by email at info@missionlove.ch and by WhatsApp.
What the site does not settle
The homepage gives no price for a standard free ceremony or a destination wedding, and does not say how travel costs are charged abroad. It does not give a lead time for booking. It does not say whether the elopement and microwedding prices include travel within Switzerland.
Who she suits
MissionLove suits couples whose families speak different languages, international couples marrying in Switzerland, and Swiss couples planning a wedding abroad, particularly those who want several languages woven into one ceremony. The published elopement and microwedding prices help small weddings budget, and the English-language reviews show experience with couples from abroad.
The caveats are the missing price for a full ceremony and, from September 2027, limited availability in German-speaking Switzerland. Ask early, and state your languages in the first message.
