Ceremony Musicians

This is the music for the fifteen or twenty minutes that actually need precise timing: the walk down the aisle, a reading, the signing, the walk back out, played by a soloist or a small acoustic group rather than a full band. A harpist, a string trio, a solo saxophonist or a singer with a guitarist can work outdoors on a terrace or in a small chapel where a full PA would be the wrong tool for the room. Because the cues matter so much, ask how the musician wants the order of service in advance, whether they need to hear the readings beforehand, and what they do if the ceremony runs at a different pace than planned.
