Wedding Bands
A live band changes the shape of a Swiss wedding evening more than a DJ does, because a four- or five-piece needs a stage, power for amplifiers and a soundcheck slot scheduled around dinner service rather than squeezed in after it. The acts here range from a jazz trio built for the apéro to a full dance band that plays three sets in three languages and takes requests from three generations of guests at once. Some bring their own sound engineer and lighting, others rely entirely on the venue's system, which matters on an outdoor terrace or in a barn with no fixed power. Ask exactly how many musicians are included in the quoted price, since a "band" can mean anywhere from three players to eight.
