Destination Wedding Planners
These are the planners who build the whole weekend around a guest list that mostly is not local: a welcome dinner the night before, transfers timed against several different flight arrivals rather than one, block-booked hotel rooms, sometimes a group excursion or a Sunday brunch the day after. That is a materially bigger job than planning a single Saturday for a couple who already lives here, and it usually needs a longer lead time booked before the date is fixed rather than after. Several also coordinate directly with a celebrant and a translator so a script or a toast lands for every language in the room. Ask how many arrival airports they are used to juggling in one weekend, and whether the fee covers the extra days or only the wedding itself.
