A flower boutique in Chur with a wedding service

BLUAMAZAINA is a small florist's boutique on Masanserstrasse in Chur, the capital of Graubünden, with a flower cafe called Café Nature right next door. Beside cut flowers, potted plants, vessels and gift items, it runs a dedicated wedding floristry service that covers the consultation, a color concept, the bridal bouquet and the decoration of the venue, with delivery and pickup included in how the service is described.

The shop's own homepage says the team is made up of experienced florists who work from the seasonal range of flowers and plants. It also mentions "unseren beiden Floristikboutiquen" (our two florist boutiques), although the only address and opening hours the site gives are for Chur. The homepage also announces an Advent exhibition held in Domat/Ems, so the business is present in more than one place in the Chur area.

What the wedding service covers

The Hochzeitsfloristik page sets out five parts to the service.

Personal consultation. The page says the team takes its time with each couple: a detailed conversation to learn their wishes and style, whether romantic and playful, modern and minimal, or entirely individual. The floral concept is developed together from that conversation.

Color and design concept. BLUAMAZAINA works out one color concept meant to run through the whole wedding, from the stationery through the flowers to the table decoration. The page's own line is "Alles fügt sich zu einem stilvollen Gesamtbild" (everything comes together into one stylish overall picture).

Bridal bouquet and boutonnieres. The page calls the bouquet "mehr als ein Accessoire" (more than an accessory), an expression of the bride's personality. It can be classic, loosely bound or elegantly pared back. On request the shop also makes matching boutonnieres for the groom, the witnesses or the guests.

Venue decoration. Whether the ceremony is in the open air, in a barn or in a formal hall, the florist takes on the floral design of the venue, including table decoration, altar flowers, chair decorations, candles and other details. The page states that everything is delivered to the venue and the decoration is collected again afterwards.

Decor pieces to rent. Under the heading "Miete statt Kauf" (rent instead of buy), the shop offers special vessels, decorative items and individual dried flowers for hire, which the page describes as easier on the budget and on the environment. Here too the team decorates on site and picks everything up afterwards.

Budget and pricing

The wedding page has a section headed Pricing, but it holds no figures. What it says instead is "Für jedes Budget das passende Angebot" (the right offer for every budget) and "So einzigartig wie eure Liebe – so flexibel wie euer Budget" (as unique as your love, as flexible as your budget). The page promises to advise couples "ehrlich und transparent" (honestly and transparently) so that the flowers suit them in price as well as in style.

The homepage has a short wedding section of its own that invites couples to talk over their ideas and their budget over a no-obligation coffee: "Erzählen Sie uns bei einem unverbindlichen Kaffee von Vorstellungen, Ideen und Budgetrahmen zu Ihrer Traumhochzeit." In English, tell us about your ideas and your budget over a coffee with no commitment. For a couple who want to name a spending limit first and then see what it buys, that is exactly the approach on offer.

The rental option is the other budget lever the site names. Hiring vessels and decor rather than buying them keeps the one-off costs down, and because the shop sets up and clears away, the couple does not have to deal with returning anything.

The shop, the cafe and how to get in touch

The Chur shop is at Masanserstrasse 136, 7000 Chur. Its published hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 17:00. Café Nature, next to the shop, serves coffee and a glass of something sparkling, and the homepage describes a stroll through the flower shop followed by a coffee there as the way to visit.

The wedding page lists two ways to make contact: email at info@bluamazaina.ch and phone at +41 81 353 76 57. The homepage adds that customers who cannot come into the shop can order by email or phone and use the delivery or pickup service. For a couple living abroad, that means the first steps can happen remotely, although the consultation the site describes is clearly meant as a conversation in person, over coffee.

The rest of the business sits alongside the wedding work: a flower subscription (Blumenabo) that delivers fresh arrangements weekly, monthly or at an agreed interval, event floristry, offers for companies, and funeral floristry. The homepage also mentions a promotion called Flower Friday on the last Friday of each month.

What the site does not settle

The whole site is in German, and it says nothing about English or any other language. A couple who do not speak German should ask by email whether the consultation can be held in English.

There is no price list and no example of what a bouquet or a full venue decoration costs. The site gives no lead time for booking wedding flowers, no minimum order, and no statement of how many weddings the shop takes on in a season.

The wedding page says everything is delivered to the venue, but it does not say how far the team will travel. For a wedding up a side valley or in another canton, that is the first thing to confirm. The site also does not name the florists on the team or give a founding year, and the pages include no gallery of past wedding work.

Who it suits

BLUAMAZAINA fits a couple marrying in or around Chur who want one florist to handle the whole look, from the color scheme to the chair decorations, and who like the idea of sitting down in person to plan it. Couples with a firm budget will appreciate that the site invites that conversation openly rather than hiding behind packages, and the rental range suits anyone who would rather not buy vessels and decor they will never use again.

It is less suited to couples who want to choose from published packages and prices at a distance, or who need everything settled in English in writing before they travel. The absence of a portfolio on the site also means asking for photos of previous weddings before committing. For couples who can make the trip to Chur for a coffee and a planning session, it is a personal and flexible way to get the flowers done.
