Blumen Müller's own homepage doesn't give a founding year. What it gives instead is a place and a headcount of generations: at Wartstrasse 31 in Winterthur, the shop says it has been meeting customers' flower wishes "seit drei Generationen," for 3 generations, at that same address. The site names the current owner directly. Martin Müller runs the business today, and the same paragraph says he took over its management from his mother 25 years before that sentence was written. His own staff page gives a different anchor for the same handover: "Geschäftsinhaber seit 1985," business owner since 1985. The two don't agree, and rather than guess which one is current, it's worth stating both. The family line at Wartstrasse 31 runs 3 generations, Martin Müller is the one running it now, and the site itself can't settle on exactly when that started.

What the site can settle is who works there now, and for how long. At the Wartstrasse address, alongside Martin Müller, Ricarda Fuhrer has been a florist there since 2021, and Dhurata Qelia, listed as an auxiliary florist, since 2017. A second shop, the branch at Winterthur's Stadttor, keeps its own separate roster: Angela Lauper has worked there as a florist since 2002, Doris Schardl since 2005, and Larina Staub since 2022. One name sits outside either counter: Gaetano Scopelliti has handled administration and bookkeeping since 2002, the same year Lauper's own tenure at Stadttor begins, though the two jobs have nothing to do with each other. That's 7 named people the site is willing to put a specific year next to, which is a more checkable version of "tradition" than the word itself.

On its own site, Blumen Müller sorts its work into a handful of galleries rather than one wedding portfolio: bouquets, wedding, funeral arrangements, a seasonal news feed, and standalone pages for tulips and snapdragons. None of that is dramatic, but it isn't what a dormant listing looks like either.

2 backyard greenhouses and a market stall in 2 towns

Behind the Wartstrasse shop, in what the site calls simply the big back yard, sit 2 glass greenhouses, kept year-round for cacti, banana plants, and olive and lemon trees rather than for growing the cut stock that ends up in a bouquet. Customers can leave their own plants there too, for temporary care while they travel, a service that says more about the daily rhythm of a real neighbourhood shop than a wedding page would. The Stadttor branch, inside Winterthur's train-station shopping area, keeps different hours from Wartstrasse and is the only one of the two open on a Sunday, 09:00 to 20:00, while Wartstrasse closes for the weekend after Saturday. The business also runs a market-stall rota a purely online florist wouldn't bother with: in Winterthur, Steinberggasse on Tuesdays and Fridays from 07:30 to 11:00, plus Obertor on Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 between mid-March and the end of November; in Oerlikon, Wednesdays from 06:00 to 11:00 and Saturdays from 06:00 to 12:00.

What Eulachhallen and the Park Hotel actually say about the work

Blumen Müller's references page names 3 clients rather than a logo wall. The thinnest of the 3, Casinotheater, appears with nothing but its own web address and no description of the work done there. The other two say more. Eulachhallen, described on the page as the biggest event venue in Winterthur, is credited as a floral partner for its corporate events and public functions, work Martin Müller and his team supply the arrangements for. Park Hotel Winterthur goes further and runs an actual quoted testimonial: the hotel calls itself the region's leading business hotel with 73 rooms, and lists a Comensoli Saal of 56 m² plus 3 meeting rooms running from 12 to 18 m² as its event spaces, all of it flowers Martin Müller's team supplies for "additional highlights" in the hotel, in the hotel's own words. That's a specific, checkable claim about event-space floristry, corporate and hospitality work rather than only bouquets over a counter, even though the site has no dedicated portfolio page showing any of it.

Ordering itself is plain and unglamorous: by phone, by email to a dedicated ordering address, or through an online order form, with a choice at checkout between paying by credit card or being invoiced, with cash accepted only on in-store pickup. Delivery is stated as running within the Winterthur area, with nothing published about reaching a venue further out in the canton, and pickup at either shop is the fallback outside that. Nothing on the site publishes a wedding-specific price, a minimum order or a lead time for a wedding booking, so none of those numbers belong in this write-up; a couple would need to ask directly before assuming either one. The Impressum lists a fax number, 052 212 22 14, alongside the phone line, an old-fashioned detail that fits a business whose oldest working relationships, the Wartstrasse address and the Winterthur market stalls, predate the online order form by decades.

3 generations and 7 named staff, spread across a shop, a branch and a market stall in 2 towns, are what this business can point to that a newer, wedding-only studio can't. A page written for someone who doesn't read German isn't one of them: every part of the site, including the order form and the Impressum, runs in German only, with no toggle anywhere. Call or write in German, or bring someone who can, and the rest of what's here, the greenhouse, the two locations, the Eulachhallen and Park Hotel work, holds up on its own evidence.
