Florist and wedding planner near Thun
Blütenglanz GmbH is the business of Martina Pfister, who works both as a florist and as a wedding planner. Its office is at Eichenweg 16 in Uttigen, in the canton of Bern, and the site's own descriptions focus on the Thun region: flower deliveries in Thun and Gwatt, wedding flowers for Thun, and wedding planning across Switzerland. The planning page states the service is for weddings in Switzerland or abroad.
The combination is the point. A couple can book Blütenglanz only for flowers and decoration, only for planning, or for both, and in the last case the florist's hire stock comes with the planning at no charge.
One detail sets the tone. The wedding page opens by saying that for weddings, Martina and her couples always use the informal "Du" with each other, because a wedding is not just any event and they will be working closely together. For couples from abroad the practical translation is simply that the relationship is meant to be personal rather than formal.
Wedding flowers and decoration
The Hochzeitsblumen page describes everything around wedding floristry and decoration, together with "ganz viele wundervolle Mietartikel", a large range of items to hire. It names three styles as examples: Boho, Rustic and Industrial. Martina refers to her team as "meine Hochzeitsfeen" (my wedding fairies), so she does not work alone on the day, although the site does not say how many people that means.
On experience, the site gives two figures. The wedding flowers page mentions more than 10 years in the wedding industry, and the planning page says more than 11 years. Either way, this is an established business rather than a newcomer.
The navigation shows the rest of what Blütenglanz does: flower deliveries, funeral floristry, a separate page for hire items (Mieten), an audio guestbook, courses and Polterabend workshops. The audio guestbook is also promoted through an Instagram handle called telefongaestebuch_schweiz, and it is a phone-style guestbook on which guests leave spoken messages instead of writing.
Wedding planning
The planning page lists what Martina takes on for a couple:
- invitation cards and the overall wedding design
- searching for and choosing the venue
- choosing the celebrant for the ceremony
- decoration and choosing the cake
- budget management, the schedule and coordination of all suppliers
The page frames the goal as a wedding that fits the couple's own wishes "unabhängig von Trends oder Erwartungen anderer", regardless of trends or other people's expectations, and says the planning is about a wedding that reflects the couple's love rather than a formula. That matters for Swiss-international couples who want to mix traditions from two countries rather than follow a local template.
There are three levels of planning.
Komplettplanung (full planning). Support from A to Z, in close contact throughout, from the invitation card through the ceremony to the dinner. Martina is present on the day, and the page says "garantiere euch einen reibungslosen Ablauf", that she guarantees the day will run smoothly.
Teilplanung (partial planning). For couples who have most things settled and need help with a few open points.
Weddingday-Manager. For couples who have planned everything themselves but want their witnesses to enjoy the day instead of running it. Martina checks that everything is ready and takes care of the day itself.
The full planning package has two advantages spelled out on the page. All the hire material from the florist side is included at no cost, including string lights, wooden crates and ceremony arches. And a second person is always on site so that the schedule runs as planned. The page also says her years in the business give her access to reliable partners, though it does not name them.
How to book
The first consultation for planning is free, according to the planning page. Consultation appointments for flowers are arranged on request, and the consultation page asks that bookings come only through its form. That form asks for the wedding date and where the celebration will take place, which is useful to have ready. The planning page carries its own short form, with fields for the wedding date and a phone number, and a note that Martina will reply quickly.
The contact page lists the office address, Eichenweg 16, 3628 Uttigen, the phone number 079 7967300 and the email info@bluetenglanz.ch. From abroad the number is dialed with the Swiss country code.
What the site does not settle
The site is written in German, and nothing on it says whether Martina works in English. A couple who do not speak German should ask about this in their first message, since planning in particular depends on long conversations.
The wedding flowers and planning pages give no prices, either for flowers or for the three planning levels, so hire prices and fees are questions for the first contact. The site does not say how far ahead planning should be booked, what the planning fee depends on, or how weddings abroad are handled in practice (travel costs, working with local suppliers there).
The site also does not say how far the florist will deliver within Switzerland or whether setup and clearing away are part of a flowers-only order. The contact page calls the Uttigen address the office, the site gives no opening hours for a shop, and a menu item titled "Es war einmal...der Laden" (once upon a time, the shop) looks back at a shop rather than inviting visits to one. Meetings are arranged by appointment.
Who it suits
Blütenglanz suits couples who want the flowers and the planning in one pair of hands, especially those marrying in the Thun region the site names. The inclusion of arches, crates and lights in the full planning package is a real advantage for anyone planning a rustic or boho wedding that would otherwise need those items hired separately. The day-of manager option is useful for couples who have done the planning themselves and just want someone else to run the day.
It is less suited to couples who want a price list before they get in touch, or who need assurance of English-language planning before they make contact. Couples from abroad should raise language, budget and the location of the wedding at the free first consultation, and decide from there which of the three planning levels, if any, they need.
