D'Julia Bluämä is a flower shop in the Silvretta Shopping center at Bahnhofstrasse 3 in Davos Platz, opened in 2024 by Julia Durrer, who is listed as owner and florist with the Swiss vocational certificate (Inhaberin/ Floristin EFZ). Weddings (Hochzeiten) are one of the six areas the shop names, next to cut flowers and bouquets, houseplants, funeral flowers, accessories and workshops. For a couple marrying in Davos it is a small, owner-run local shop; the website is short, written in German and gives no detail on the wedding service or prices.
The shop and its owner
The home page welcomes visitors to their flower shop "im Herzen von Davos Platz", in the heart of Davos Platz, where they will find the right bouquet, a small gift or decoration for their next event. It describes the shop as a place full of color, scent and inspiration, inviting people to browse, with seasonal cut flowers, hand-tied bouquets and creative decorations for the home, parties and special occasions.
On the About page Julia Durrer introduces herself as a passionate florist "mit Herz, Kreativität und einem feinen Gespür für die Sprache der Blumen", with heart, creativity and a fine feel for the language of flowers. She writes that with D'Julia Bluämä she fulfilled her dream of her own flower shop in Davos in 2024. As a small girl in Obwalden, walking through flower meadows, she knew flowers would one day be her life's work, and in her chosen profession she can combine her closeness to nature with her creativity. Today, she says, she is proud not only to guide her customers through flower meadows but to design for them according to their individual wishes.
Every bouquet and decoration in the shop, according to the page, is made with a lot of heart, creativity and love of nature, "für kleine Freuden im Alltag und besondere Momente im Leben", for small everyday pleasures and special moments in life.
The team
The team section lists 2 people: Julia Durrer as owner and florist EFZ, and Petra Rechsteiner as an intern (Praktikantin). The team writes that it works with a lot of heart and attention to detail on one-off creations. For a wedding couple this means the owner is the only florist listed, and that the shop is small, which matters for a large wedding with several venues to decorate on the same day.
What the shop offers
The offer section names six areas:
- Schnittblumen & Sträusse: cut flowers and bouquets
- Hochzeiten: weddings
- Zimmerpflanzen: houseplants
- Trauerfloristik: funeral flowers
- Accessoires: accessories
- Workshops
The menu also has an "Events" page and a gallery (Impressionen). A new online ordering service lets customers order fresh flowers online and either have them delivered or collect them in Davos. The site gives no delivery area or delivery charges.
The wedding offer
Weddings appear as a heading in the offer list, but the pages give no description of the wedding service: no list of items such as bridal bouquets, buttonholes or table decoration, no mention of decorating a church or venue, and no packages. The gallery and the events page are the places to look for examples of the shop's style. Beyond that, the wedding order has to be worked out with Julia Durrer directly, starting from her own promise to design according to each customer's wishes and ideas.
What customers say
The About page quotes a few reviews, described as a small selection of the positive feedback. One customer writes: "Schnell, freundlich, unkompliziert und die Rosen sind nach 10 Tagen fast so schön wie am ersten Tag." Quick, friendly and straightforward, and the roses were almost as lovely after 10 days as on the first. Another wanted to surprise her husband in hospital after an accident from far away, and writes that Julia made and delivered a bouquet very quickly. A third praises lovingly put-together, tasteful bouquets, "sehr natürlich und keine Massenware aus Holland", very natural and not mass-produced flowers from Holland.
None of the reviews are about weddings, but they point to a natural style and quick, reliable service, and the second one shows the shop handles orders from customers who are not in Davos themselves.
Opening hours, closures and contact
The shop's hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 18.00, and Saturday on request (auf Anfrage). No hours are listed for Monday, Tuesday or Sunday. The home page also announces company holidays (Betriebsferien) from 18 September to 13 October. A couple with a wedding around that period, or wanting a consultation then, should get in touch well before.
Contact: d'Julia Bluämä, Silvretta Shopping, Bahnhofstrasse 3, 7270 Davos Platz. E-mail info@juliabluama.ch, phone +41 79 924 96 36. Both main pages carry an inquiry form with name, e-mail and message. The site does not describe how to reach the shop by public transport or where to park.
What the site does not settle
The website is in German only and says nothing about which languages the shop works in. A couple who do not speak German should ask in their first message whether the consultation can be held in English; writing through the inquiry form or by e-mail gives both sides time with the wording.
There are no prices for wedding flowers, no packages, no minimum order and no lead time for booking a wedding. The site does not say whether the shop sets up flowers at the ceremony or reception venue, how far it delivers, whether it can cover a date during its company holidays, or how it handles deposits and changes.
Questions for the first message:
- Can we plan the flowers in English?
- What do you make for weddings, and can we see photos of earlier wedding work?
- Do you deliver to our venue and set up the flowers there?
- Is our date inside your holiday period, and how far ahead should we book?
- With the shop open Wednesday to Friday, when can we meet or call?
Who it suits
D'Julia Bluämä suits couples marrying in Davos who want a natural, personal style from a small shop where the owner does the work herself, and who are happy to shape the wedding order in conversation. The online ordering and delivery service is useful for couples or guests arranging flowers from elsewhere.
It is less suited to a couple who want a documented wedding package, published prices or a large team for a big multi-venue wedding, or who need confirmation of English before making contact. The limited opening days and the autumn holiday also mean appointments need planning.
