Dekaflore

Dekaflore (written Dékaflore on its own pages) is a floral business in Martigny, in Valais, founded in 2017 by florist Florence Fellay. It describes itself as a specialist in wedding flowers, working from its studio in Martigny and traveling to Martigny, Sion, Monthey, Verbier "et dans toute la Suisse romande", throughout French-speaking Switzerland. Its wedding page publishes a price guide, and it also offers to dry and preserve the bridal bouquet after the day. The site is in French.

The wedding service

The home page sets the tone: here, it says, flowers do not just decorate a place, they tell a story, mark a moment in life and create memories. Creating beauty, sharing meaning and bringing flowers to important moments are named as the key points of the business.

The wedding page opens with the aim of making the day special with flowers that reflect the couple, and lists the pieces Dekaflore designs: "Bouquet de mariée, arche florale, centres de table, décoration de cérémonie ou de salle": the bridal bouquet, floral arch, table centerpieces, and ceremony or room decoration. Each piece is meant to reflect the couple's world and create a harmonious, elegant atmosphere. The stated goal is for the flowers to lift the day "avec justesse, sensibilité et caractère", with precision, sensitivity and character.

The home page adds that Florence makes floral decorations in fresh flowers ("en fleurs fraîches") for weddings, inaugurations, memorial ceremonies and private or business events in Valais and French-speaking Switzerland, and that each project is designed to measure.

How it works

"Chaque mariage est différent", every wedding is different, the page says, and so Florence offers a personal meeting to discuss the couple's wishes, the venue, the budget and the atmosphere they want. A personalized quote is prepared after studying the request and meeting at the studio. The page also carries a clear note on timing: "L’agenda 2027 commence déjà à se remplir", the 2027 calendar is already starting to fill up, so couples should get in touch as soon as possible to reserve their date.

The home page says Florence has accompanied many couples in Valais and French-speaking Switzerland with the flowers for their wedding day. One review quoted there, from a 2025 wedding, praises the bouquet and the floral decoration of the church and the tables.

The price guide

Under "Investissement pour votre décoration florale", the wedding page explains that the budget depends on the number of guests, the venue, the season and the scale of the installations, and then gives reference prices:

Bridal bouquet: between CHF 100 and 200, depending on the volume and the varieties chosen.

Floral accessories:

  • buttonhole: from CHF 15
  • comb or hair accessory: between CHF 30 and 60
  • flower crown: between CHF 60 and 120

Ceremony and reception:

  • table centerpieces: between CHF 80 and 200
  • arch decoration or floral installation: between CHF 300 and 1,500, depending on the scale
  • arch rental: from CHF 100

Complete floral decoration: the page says the most harmonious projects generally fall between CHF 2,000 and 5,000, depending on the atmosphere and the floral scenography, and that more immersive installations, or venues needing a large volume of flowers, can go beyond that.

For a couple planning from abroad this is the most useful part of the site: it allows a realistic budget before the first meeting. The prices do not mention delivery or travel costs, which are worth asking about for venues away from Martigny.

Preserving the bouquet

After the wedding, Dekaflore offers to give the bouquet "une seconde vie", a second life, by drying it. The options listed are:

  • the bouquet in a frame, 3D or pressed
  • a creation under a glass cloche
  • a wreath of dried flowers
  • personalized letters

The page warns that places for drying bouquets are limited, and advises reserving a slot at the same time as booking the wedding flowers.

Workshops, shop and other services

Dekaflore also runs themed creative workshops through the year in Martigny (dried flowers, seasonal decorations, original floral creations), with no experience needed, as well as creative retreats; the site lists a spring retreat at Chemin-Dessus in May 2027 and an autumn weekend at the studio. One review on the home page recommends the workshops for an evening with friends or alone with a group.

An online shop sells dried flowers, handmade paper flowers, glass cloches and domes, dried-flower decorations and gift vouchers. Online orders are handled Monday to Friday, for delivery or collection at the studio, and payment by Twint is offered. The studio shop ("atelier-boutique") is open every Wednesday afternoon from 14h to 18h30 and can open by appointment; the home page notes it will be closed on Wednesday 16 September 2026.

Contact

Florence Fellay, Dekaflore, 1920 Martigny, Valais. E-mail contact@dekaflore.ch, phone 078 689 05 58, with a request to use WhatsApp or a message rather than a call. There is also a contact form and a quote request button on the wedding page. The site gives no street address beyond the postcode and town, and does not describe parking or public transport.

What the site does not settle

The website is in French only and does not say whether Florence works in English. A couple who do not speak French should ask in their first message; the preference for WhatsApp and written messages helps here.

The site does not state delivery or travel charges, a deposit or cancellation terms. It does not say whether the first meeting can be held by video for couples abroad, since the quote follows a meeting at the studio. It gives no information on availability outside French-speaking Switzerland.

Who it suits

Dekaflore suits couples marrying in Valais or elsewhere in French-speaking Switzerland who want a personal, one-florist service and a clear idea of cost from the start. The published price guide, the full range from bouquet to arch and room decoration, and the bouquet-preservation service make it easy to plan around.

It is less suited to couples who need an English-language service confirmed in advance, or who cannot travel to Martigny for the planning meeting. Couples marrying in 2027 should contact the studio early, since the page says that calendar is already filling.
