Des Lys & Délices

Tap a star to rate

Des Lys & Délices is a flower shop at Place du Midi 37 in Sion, in Valais, which has been "à vos côtés dans toutes les grandes occasions de la vie" since 2004, at its customers' side for life's big occasions. Weddings are one of its three main areas, alongside funerals and business customers, and its wedding page is clear about the process: a paid consultation credited to the final bill, a written quote, a 50 percent deposit, and a team that handles delivery, setup and takedown. For a couple marrying around Sion it is a well-documented choice, provided they are comfortable with a French-language website.

How the shop approaches weddings

The wedding page is headed "Unique | Personnel | Sur mesure" and opens with the line "Votre grand jour est aussi notre grand jour", your big day is our big day too. The shop says it favors meeting in person to define the scenography of the wedding together, and that a global concept starts with listening: understanding who the couple are and how they want the day to unfold. Together with the couple it chooses the shapes, flowers and colors that work together. The page adds that the team has specialized "depuis de nombreuses années", for many years, in creating unique, made-to-measure concepts.

The home page describes the business more broadly: based in Sion, it designs made-to-measure floral creations, chooses quality flowers "au fil des saisons", through the seasons, and aims for each composition to create emotion.

What the service covers

Under "Nos services" the page promises to take care of everything: "De la livraison au montage, jusqu’au démontage en fin d’événement", from delivery to setup and on to taking everything down at the end of the event. The stated aim is that the flowers are "à la hauteur de vos émotions", equal to the couple's emotions. The pieces listed are:

  • Bouquet de mariée: bridal bouquet
  • Boutonnière: buttonhole
  • Arche pour cérémonie: ceremony arch
  • Voiture: car decoration
  • Lieu du repas: decoration of the reception venue
  • Église: church decoration

The takedown at the end of the event is worth noting for couples who are not local, since it means nobody from the wedding party has to clear the venue.

The page also shows a table decoration collection made with its partner NOC Event, with a full catalog to consult, and a gallery of theme ideas for weddings under the names Bohème, Bohème chic, Champêtre, The Crown, Gatsby, Jungle, Louis XIV and Nomade. The gallery is a useful way to point to a style before the consultation.

The consultation and booking process

The FAQ on the wedding page sets out each step:

  • When to book: once the date is fixed and the venue chosen, the couple can book their meeting so the team can give them its full attention.
  • How long: on average 45 minutes to 1 hour, "en fonction de vos rêves", depending on your dreams.
  • Who should come: ideally just the couple.
  • What to bring: photos of colors, styles and flowers you like, and as much information as possible: the ceremony venue, the number of witnesses, guests and tables, whether you need a floral arch or a plant wall. If you have a set budget, the shop asks you to say so at this first meeting.
  • The quote: based on the meeting the shop prepares a personalized quote, "facturé CHF 80.- mais entièrement déduit de la facture finale", charged at CHF 80 but fully deducted from the final invoice. It arrives in the following days.
  • Changes: you remain free to change your choices up to 2 weeks before the wedding.
  • Confirming: you return the signed quote by e-mail or post and pay a deposit of 50 percent to reserve the date for good. The balance is due on delivery or when you collect the flowers from the shop.

For a first idea of costs the page offers a downloadable budget guide ("aide au budget") and a price list to download. The page itself gives no figures, so the downloads are the first thing to look at.

Opening hours, contact and payment

The shop is at Place du Midi 37, 1950 Sion, phone +41 27 322 08 22, e-mail info@fleursion.ch, with a contact form that accepts file uploads, which is handy for sending inspiration pictures. The footer gives the hours as Tuesday to Friday 08:45 to 12:00 and 13:45 to 18:30, and Saturday 08:45 to 12:00 and 12:45 to 17:00, closed on public holidays. The contact page also lists Sunday 09:30 to 12:00, while the footer says closed on Sunday; the home page explains that, new in 2026, after 22 years of Sunday opening, the shop is closed on Sundays from 14 June to 4 October for a summer break, and open Tuesday to Saturday. No Monday hours are given.

Payment is by credit card, TWINT or PostFinance, and the shop offers an international service through Fleurop, Interflora and Les Fleurs.ch.

Other services useful around a wedding

The online shop has click and collect: choose online, pick collection in the shop, pay by card, TWINT or PostFinance, and the order is ready from 13:45 the next day or on a day you choose. For same-day or morning orders the shop asks you to call 027 322 08 22 first. That suits families or guests who want flowers for hosts or parents during the wedding week. There is also a flower subscription, with the rhythm, frequency and budget chosen by the customer and a vase offered with the first delivery.

What the site does not settle

The website is in French only and does not say whether the team speaks English. A couple who do not speak French should ask when booking the consultation, and ask whether it can be done by video if they cannot travel to Sion.

The page does not state how far the shop travels for weddings or what delivery and setup cost; that may be in the downloadable budget guide, and is worth asking either way. It does not say how far ahead to book beyond the advice to book once the date and venue are fixed.

Who it suits

Des Lys & Délices suits couples marrying in or around Sion who want a structured process, a full service from delivery to takedown, and a clear set of rules on changes and payment. The theme gallery and the NOC Event table collection help couples who want a defined look.

It is less suited to couples who cannot attend a meeting in Sion or who need an English-speaking service confirmed in advance. Couples with a Sunday or Monday event should check the opening days, since the site lists no Monday hours and the shop closes on Sundays in summer 2026.
