A village florist with a wedding service for Vaud
Espace Fleuri is a florist's shop on Rue des Laurelles 6 in Cossonay-Ville, in the canton of Vaud, trading as Espace Fleuri Sàrl with Nicole Gaudin named as the contact on its contact page. Day to day it sells seasonal bouquets and arrangements from the shop and online, runs flower subscriptions and delivers around Cossonay. Weddings have their own page, headed "Fleuriste pour mariage dans le canton de Vaud" (wedding florist in the canton of Vaud), which sets out three packs, a custom option and a four-step working method.
The wedding page names the area it covers in one line: the atelier works with couples across the canton, "de Cossonay à Morges, de La Sarraz à Lausanne". Those four places are the page's own markers, not a guarantee that every venue between them is in range; the site refers couples to a separate page listing its delivery zones and rates.
The tone of the page is practical rather than lyrical. It opens by calling flowers the emotional signature of the day, then gets straight to what the atelier actually does: floral decoration made to measure, designed so that the venue, the colors and the atmosphere hang together, "De l'intime au grand format" (from the intimate to the large scale), adapted to the couple's budget with the same standard of quality.
The three wedding packs
The page describes its "formules mariage" in plain terms.
Pack Civil & Intime. For a civil ceremony or a small wedding: the bridal bouquet, a matching boutonniere and full coordination of the colors with what the couple is wearing. For couples from abroad who are marrying at a registry office in Vaud and celebrating elsewhere, this is the pack that fits.
Pack Cérémonie. Beyond the bridal bouquet and boutonnieres, the atelier takes on the floral decoration of the ceremony itself: arrangements at the altar, decoration of the pews or chairs, and coordination of colors and style throughout.
Pack Réception. The page calls this its most complete formula. It adds table centerpieces for the guests to the bouquet, boutonnieres and ceremony decoration, with overall coordination of the floral decor "du début à la fin de la journée" (from the start to the end of the day).
Sur mesure. For projects that fit none of the packs, the atelier draws up a personalized quote covering a complete or partial floral design, adapted to the couple's vision, venue and budget.
What the page does not publish is what any of these costs. There are no prices for the packs, no starting price for a bridal bouquet and no example budget. The page's instruction is to call 021 861 04 70 for a personalized quote.
How the atelier works
The wedding page lists "Notre méthode en 4 étapes" (our method in four steps):
- Consultation personnalisée. An in-depth conversation to understand the couple's project, inspirations, style and budget.
- Conception créative. Working out a single floral concept that is then carried through all the compositions.
- Sélection de fleurs. A careful choice of good-quality seasonal flowers that fit the concept.
- Installation. Careful setup on the day itself to create a harmonious atmosphere.
Two points follow for a couple planning from a distance. First, the atelier installs on the day, so this is a service that includes setup, not only a bouquet to collect. Second, the emphasis on seasonal flowers means the concept will be built around what is available in the couple's month, which is worth knowing before arriving with a fixed list of varieties.
Delivery, installation and the service area
Under the heading "Livraison et installation dans tout le canton de Vaud" the page says the atelier delivers and installs wedding arrangements in all the communes it serves, and it links to the detail of its delivery zones. The same page also points to a separate offer for other private and professional events. A further link on the page is titled "Livraison de fleurs dans les communes vaudoises autour de Cossonay" (flower delivery in the Vaud communes around Cossonay); a couple with a venue outside that area should check the zone list or ask before assuming the atelier will travel.
The site does not say how guests or visitors reach the shop by public transport, and it does not mention parking. The site gives the address and offers call, e-mail and map buttons.
Opening hours and contact
The contact page lists the shop's hours:
- Monday, closed;
- Tuesday to Friday, 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 18:30;
- Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00 without a break;
- Sunday, 09:30 to 12:00.
Sunday morning opening is useful for a couple who can only visit on a weekend trip. The phone number is 021 861 04 70 and the e-mail address is espace.fleuri@bluewin.ch. The contact page also carries a form with name, e-mail, phone, subject and message fields, and it says the team replies quickly to questions, custom projects, weddings and business orders.
What a couple from abroad still needs to ask
The site is in French only, and it does not say whether the team works in English or German. It also does not publish:
- prices for any wedding pack or individual item;
- how far in advance a wedding should be booked;
- a deposit or payment schedule, or how a couple living outside Switzerland pays;
- whether rental items such as vases or stands are offered for weddings;
- whether the atelier visits the venue before the day.
None of these is unusual for a small shop, but together they mean a first e-mail should set out the date, the venue, the approximate guest count and the pack of interest, and ask for a quote and the language of correspondence in the same message.
Who it suits
Espace Fleuri suits a couple marrying in the Cossonay, Morges, La Sarraz or Lausanne area who want a local shop to handle everything from the bouquet to the reception tables, with installation on the day. The pack structure makes it easy to see what each level covers, and the civil pack is a sensible fit for a small registry-office wedding.
It suits less well a couple who need prices before the first conversation, or one whose venue lies outside the atelier's delivery zones. For them, the delivery-zone page and a direct question are the place to start.
