Jardins sur Pérolles

Jardins sur Pérolles is an artisan flower shop on the Boulevard de Pérolles in Fribourg, opened in 2017 by Déborah Chatton. It sells seasonal bouquets through a small online shop and over the counter, delivers by bicycle across the city, and takes custom orders for occasions that include weddings. For a couple marrying in or around Fribourg who want a modern, uncomplicated florist rather than a large event decorator, it is worth a look; for a large installation at a distant venue, the site gives little to go on.
The shop and the florist
The site describes itself as a "Fleuriste artisanale au cœur de Fribourg depuis 2017" (an artisan florist in the heart of Fribourg since 2017). Its short history section opens with the line "Tout a commencé avec une passion : celle des fleurs et de la créativité" (it all began with a passion for flowers and creativity), and explains that Déborah Chatton opened the shop wanting to offer something different: bouquets that are modern, accessible and above all unique. The same section puts a few numbers on the business: 7-plus years of experience, more than 5000 bouquets created, 100 percent fresh flowers, and a location 300 meters from Fribourg station, in the shop's own words.
The flowers, the site says, come from a supplier based in Fribourg, where the team selects them every week, and the homepage speaks of the finest flowers from the European market. Each bouquet is made on the morning of its delivery. The shop names a second point of sale as well: Le Kiosk à Manor, at Rue de Romont 30 in Fribourg. The main shop sits at Boulevard de Pérolles 29.
Opening hours are published: Monday to Friday 9h to 18h30, Saturday 8h to 16h (the Swiss notation the page uses), which the site summarizes as open six days out of seven. Sunday is the closed day.
Wedding work
Weddings are not a separate product line here. The FAQ answers the question of special occasions with a list: birth, birthday, wedding, thanks and bereavement, with creations adapted to each, and invites customers to get in touch for anything made to measure ("sur-mesure"). That is the whole of the wedding offer on the site. There is no wedding gallery, no list of what a wedding commission covers (bridal bouquet, buttonholes, table arrangements, ceremony decoration), no deposit rule and no lead time.
In practice this means a wedding order starts with a conversation. The site gives three ways in: the contact form at the foot of the page, the phone number 026 323 23 02, and the email address jardins@perolles29.ch. The step-by-step ordering guide also notes that customers can simply call the shop instead of using the online shop.
For a couple who want to see the style before asking for a quote, the online collection is the clearest evidence of what the shop makes: the bouquets change with what is in season, and the site describes each composition as a small work of art made from flowers selected that week.
What the bouquets and subscriptions cost
The shop is unusually open about everyday prices. Bouquets in the current collection start at CHF 48. A flower subscription, "Ta Petite Surprise du Mois", delivers one bouquet a month from the new collection and costs CHF 192 for 3 months, which the site itself breaks down as CHF 64 a month with delivery included. The FAQ adds that subscriptions run for 3, 6 or 12 months. A third collection covers accessories and gifts: candles, vases and small flowery presents.
Delivery is free from CHF 130, according to the service strip on the page, and the cart shows how far an order is from that threshold. None of this is a wedding price, and the site publishes no wedding price list. It does let a couple living in Fribourg order a bouquet or a short subscription first to see how the flowers look and last before commissioning anything larger.
Delivery and ordering
Delivery is the shop's main selling point. Orders go out by bicycle "dans tout Fribourg" (throughout Fribourg), which the site presents as eco-responsible. The express service promises same-day delivery for orders placed before 8h30; one line further down the page gives 7h as the cut-off instead, so a couple relying on same-day delivery should confirm which one applies. Bouquets are wrapped in ecological kraft paper.
Ordering online follows four steps set out on the homepage: choose a bouquet, add a short message, choose the delivery date, and the shop does the rest. At the second step customers can also pick presentation options. Bouquets can be sent anonymously. If flowers arrive damaged or an order is wrong, the FAQ says the customer can choose between a new delivery and a full refund.
The site says nothing about delivering outside Fribourg. For a wedding at a venue elsewhere in the canton or beyond, delivery and set-up are questions to settle directly with the shop.
Languages and practical points for couples from abroad
The site is published in French only, and it states no other language of service. A couple who do not read French will want to write simply and ask at the outset which languages the team can work in. The site addresses customers informally, as "tu", and nothing on it describes destination-wedding work.
Location is the practical strength. The shop gives its own distance of 300 meters from Fribourg station, so a couple arriving by train to meet the florist, or to collect flowers on the day, will find it close to the rail link. The Manor kiosk on Rue de Romont is a second place to find the team in the city center.
The site does not publish holiday closures, a wedding season calendar or how far in advance wedding flowers should be booked. Those are the first questions to put to the shop, together with whether it can make and deliver on a Saturday, since the shop closes at 16h that day.
Reviews on the page
The homepage carries 4 short customer quotations with first names and initials. One praises the choice at "Chez Déborah", another says the flowers last a long time. They are the shop's own selection and none mention a wedding, so they speak to everyday bouquets rather than to event work.
Who it suits
Jardins sur Pérolles suits a couple marrying in Fribourg who want fresh, seasonal, modern flowers from a small shop with a named owner, and who are happy to work out a wedding order in person or by phone. The published everyday prices and the subscription make it easy to test the style first, and the bicycle delivery across the city is practical for a ceremony, a hotel or a restaurant in town.
The caveats are clear from the site. There is no wedding portfolio, no wedding package and no statement of wedding capacity, so a large event with ceremony arches and dozens of table arrangements is a question rather than a known service. The site is in French only. And the delivery promise covers Fribourg, so a venue outside the city needs its own arrangement. For a small or mid-sized wedding in town, those are manageable points; for a destination wedding far from Fribourg, they are the first things to clear with Déborah Chatton and her team.
