Lambrigger Blumenwelt
Tap a star to rate
Lambrigger Blumenwelt is a small family flower shop at Viktoriastrasse 25 in Brig-Glis, in the Oberwallis, the upper Valais. Its homepage lists wedding floristry ("Hochzeitsfloristik") among its services, next to everyday bouquets, funeral flowers, workshops, a flower subscription and flowers for companies, events and large functions. The shop is run by Ruth Werlen-Lambrigger and her daughter Melanie Schilter-Werlen, with a team of four named on the site. For a couple marrying around Brig who want a local, family-run florist, it is a natural first call.
Who runs the shop
The homepage introduces the team informally: "Wir sind Ruth, Melanie und Eveline", a small, family flower shop in Brig-Glis in the Oberwallis, with plenty of joy in flowers, creativity and good encounters, working with helpers in the background on personal floristry "für die kleinen und grossen Momente im Leben" (for the small and big moments in life).
The team page adds detail. It describes the group as three florists, one "Blumenflüsterin" (flower whisperer) and a family who have worked together for many years. As a well-practiced mother-and-daughter team, it says, they run the shop in the second and third generation. The four people named are:
- Ruth Werlen-Lambrigger, owner and "Floristin mit Leib und Seele" (a florist heart and soul)
- Melanie Schilter-Werlen, Floristin EFZ, the Swiss federal certificate in floristry
- Eveline Göttier, "Blumenflüsterin"
- Fabienne Imoberdorf, Floristin EFZ
The company trades as Lambrigger Blumenwelt GmbH.
A jubilee year
This year is a special one for the shop. The homepage section "Seit 50 Jahren mit Liebe zu Blumen" explains that Ruth can look back on 50 years of floristry: half a century of flowers, encounters, creativity and countless good moments with customers. The team page adds: "2026 feiern wir voller Dankbarkeit unser Jubiläum", 2026 is the jubilee year, with news promised. The anniversary is Ruth's 50 years in the trade; the site does not give a founding year for the shop itself. The tone of the jubilee text says something about the business: "Ganz leise feiern wir dieses Jubiläum", they write, they are celebrating quietly, the same way they work, with heart, a lot of joy and love of detail. The site's own tagline is "Floristik mit Herz", floristry with heart, and the homepage closes on the line that sometimes a flower says more than a thousand words.
Wedding flowers
Wedding floristry is listed as a service, and the homepage offers two ways in: "Blumen online bestellen" (order flowers online) and "Persönlich beraten lassen" (get personal advice). For a wedding, the second is the route. The team page says they listen closely and are glad to fulfill their customers' wishes, with love of detail.
The homepage and the team page do not describe what a wedding order includes, show a wedding gallery or give examples; the menu has a separate "Floristik" section that couples can check for more. What these pages do make clear is the range the shop works across: dried flowers and plants as well as fresh bouquets, flowers for events and large functions, and company flowers. Events and large functions are named as part of the work, but the scale of wedding decoration the shop takes on is a question for the consultation.
Opening hours and contact
Published hours:
- Tuesday to Friday: 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 18:30
- Saturday and the day before public holidays: 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:00
- Sunday and Monday: closed
Outside these hours, the site says, a small selection of flowers is available at the Shell petrol station in Glis. The phone number is 027 923 16 70 and the email address info@lambrigger-blumenwelt.ch. The site links to Facebook and Instagram and offers a TWINT payment link.
The team page gives directions in its own words: the shop is "Im blauen Gebäude beim Dennerkreisel in Richtung Bahnhof", in the blue building by the Denner roundabout, heading toward the station.
Delivery
The online shop delivers flowers "ins ganze Oberwallis" (throughout the Oberwallis). The site does not say whether wedding flowers are delivered and installed at the venue on the day, or whether the shop works at venues outside the Oberwallis, so couples marrying further afield in Valais or in the mountains above Brig should raise delivery and set-up early.
What the site does not settle
- Prices. No prices for wedding flowers are shown on the homepage or team page.
- What is included. Bridal bouquet, buttonholes, ceremony and table flowers are not listed individually, and set-up and collection are not described.
- Lead time and terms. There is no booking deadline, deposit or cancellation rule.
- Languages. The site is in German, written in the informal "du", and does not mention English or French.
- Portfolio. No wedding photographs or references appear on the homepage or team page.
The menu also lists a "Shop in Shop" concept, which the homepage does not explain.
Planning from abroad
For a couple who do not live in the Oberwallis, the first step is an email with the date, the venue, the style wanted and the pieces needed, asking whether the team can advise in English and whether a consultation can take place by phone or video before a visit. The Tuesday to Saturday hours mean an in-person meeting has to fit into those days. The only payment option the site names is a TWINT payment link, so a couple without Swiss banking should ask which other payment methods the shop accepts for a wedding order. The Shell selection in Glis is a small comfort for last-minute needs outside opening hours, not a substitute for wedding flowers.
Who it suits
Lambrigger Blumenwelt suits a couple marrying in Brig-Glis or elsewhere in the Oberwallis who want a small family business with trained florists, delivery across the region and experience of event and large-function flowers. The jubilee year and the mother-and-daughter team point to a shop with deep local roots.
The caveats are a German-only site with no wedding gallery or prices, and a short working week. Couples who need to work in English, or who are marrying outside the delivery area, should settle those points in the first exchange.
