A Lausanne florist that sells wedding flowers online

Montoie Fleurs is a florist at Ch. du Capelard 5 in Lausanne with a webshop in English and French. It sells wedding flowers as products with published starting prices: a bride's bouquet from CHF 89, flowers for the ceremony from CHF 22 and a tied boutonnière from CHF 15. Orders for bridal bouquets must be placed at least 10 days before the wedding. For a couple in the Lausanne area, or a couple planning from abroad who want to order in English with clear prices, it is a practical option.

The wedding range

The webshop's Wedding category shows three products:

  • Bride's bouquet, from CHF 89
  • For the ceremony, from CHF 22
  • Tied boutonnière, from CHF 15

The bride's bouquet page explains the approach in the shop's own English: "Montoie Fleurs designs each wedding with the utmost care and attention to details. Our team of professional and passionate florists will create, based on your request, the floral decoration of your wedding with seasonal or specific blooms." It continues: "Hand-tied posy, tear drop bouquet, shower bouquet…each bridal bouquet is unique as it is the fruit of an artistic creation inspired by your wishes and the seasonal blooms."

The bouquet comes in four sizes, Small, Medium, Large and XL, which the French product details call Discret, Généreux, Eblouissant and Inoubliable. The product page lets the couple enter the wedding date as the delivery or collection date and add the bouquet to the cart. The CHF 89 figure is the starting price; the page does not list a price for each size, so the larger sizes are priced in the cart or on request.

For anything beyond the three listed products, such as table arrangements or larger ceremony decoration, the route is the contact line on the product page: "For more information contact our florists at +41 21 612 30 40 or by email at magasin@montoiefleurs.ch".

Lead time and the Sunday question

The bride's bouquet page states two conditions: "Bouquets must be ordered minimum 10 days before the event !" and "Deliveries are not possible on Sundays."

The general delivery block elsewhere on the same pages says delivery runs 7 days a week within the delivery area, with Sunday delivery for orders placed on or before Saturday at 3pm. The two statements sit side by side, so the safe reading for a wedding is the stricter one: a Sunday wedding should not count on a Sunday delivery of the bridal bouquet, and a couple marrying on a Sunday should ask the shop directly or plan to collect on Saturday.

Delivery and prices for the rest of the shop

The delivery terms are published on every page:

  • Delivery 7 days a week within the delivery area, with a link to see the delivery area
  • Delivery charge CHF 15, free from CHF 90 of purchases
  • Same-day delivery for orders placed before 3pm, "subject to product availability"

The wider webshop covers sympathy flowers, roses, bouquets and floral designs, with examples such as a pink roses bouquet from CHF 35 and a colorful floral design from CHF 49. There is also a subscription option in the site navigation. For a couple, these give a sense of the shop's everyday price level and let family or guests order flowers for the couple in English.

The shop and the self-service points

The shop address is Ch. du Capelard 5, 1007 Lausanne, phone +41 21 612 30 40. The Self-services page lists 3 self-serve points: one at Montoie, at the level of the flower shop, and two at Bois-de-Vaux I and Bois-de-Vaux II, at the entrance in front of the old flower shop. They sell seasonal plants, candles and decoration, with payment in cash or by TWINT.

Flowers and suppliers

On quality, the Self-services page says the florists create original floral compositions with premium flower quality, that the roses are premium varieties chosen for large, colorful buds, and that suppliers are selected for the quality of their flowers and plants, with "a preference for local suppliers". Combined with the bride's bouquet text, which mentions seasonal or specific blooms, that suggests a couple can ask for particular flowers, while seasonal material is the default.

Language and ordering from abroad

The webshop is available in English, which removes the main barrier for couples who do not speak French: the product texts, delivery terms and checkout can all be read and completed in English. The site does not say whether consultations by phone are held in English, but written contact by email works from the product page. A couple planning from abroad can order the bridal bouquet and boutonnières online, choose the size, enter the wedding date, and then email the shop about colors, flowers and any additional pieces.

What the site does not settle

  • Prices by size. Only the bouquet's starting price is shown.
  • Larger decoration. Table centerpieces, arches or full venue decoration are not listed as products; the site does not say whether the shop provides them.
  • Installation. Delivery is described; installation at the venue is not.
  • Delivery area. The area is shown behind a separate link, not described in the text, so venues outside Lausanne need checking.
  • Sunday weddings. The two delivery statements differ, as noted above.
  • Consultation language. English is used on the site; spoken consultations are not addressed.

Who it suits

Montoie Fleurs suits a couple marrying in or near Lausanne who want to order the core wedding flowers, the bouquet, ceremony flowers and boutonnières, simply and in English, with a starting price known in advance and a clear deadline. It also suits couples who want to handle florals remotely without a series of meetings, and families abroad who want to send flowers to the couple in Lausanne, since the same English checkout, delivery terms and same-day option apply to the rest of the shop.

It is less suited to couples who want a full decoration service with installations and a design process; the webshop is built around a small set of products. The 10-day minimum is short enough to be easy to meet, but the conflicting Sunday delivery statements are the one point every Sunday couple should clear with the shop before the day.
