Schnittstell
Tap a star to rate
Schnittstell is a flower shop at St. Gallerstrasse 57 in Jona, opened in 2022 by the florist Manuela Mohr-Rüdisüli, and its homepage describes the team as "spezialisierte und erfahrene Eventfloristinnen", specialized and experienced event florists. Weddings have their own page, "Hochzeit & Feier", which invites couples to a first consultation, and the shop works under three headings: Floristik, Event and Wohnen (floristry, events and home).
The team
The "Über uns" page introduces everyone by name. Manuela Mohr-Rüdisüli is owner and manager (Inhaberin & Geschäftsführerin) and a "Floristin mit eidg. Fachausweis", a florist with the federal professional certificate. After the professional examination and some years of experience, she writes, she was able to fulfill her big dream of her own shop in 2022. Individual advice and responding to personal wishes come first for her, and her aim is that customers leave the shop with a smile and a good feeling.
Anina Ziegler is deputy manager and also holds the federal certificate. The page calls her creative and keen to experiment, someone who loves planning and carrying out individual design concepts. After some years of experience and her professional examination she began studying at a higher technical school to become an interior designer in 2023 and is in her final semester, which the shop says gives her a strong feel for spatial design and harmonious overall concepts.
Svenja Simmerle, Floristin EFZ, joined in September 2025 after completing her apprenticeship in the summer. She then won first place at the SwissSkills florist competition, and the page says she looks forward to representing Switzerland at the WorldSkills in Shanghai. Carmen Arnold, Floristin EFZ, is described as a real doer for whom no challenge is too big, with long professional experience and solid knowledge, and the page notes that she is always ready to help out on short-notice jobs, which is the kind of reserve a wedding weekend sometimes needs. Two apprentices complete the team: Zoé Süess, with the shop since August 2023, in her final year and staying on after she qualifies, and Giulia Aebersold, in her second year, who joined in May after changing training company and whom the page describes with her cheerful Glarus manner and dialect.
For a couple, the point is depth. This is not a one-person shop, and the people who would work on a wedding include two florists with the federal certificate and a national competition winner.
Weddings and celebrations
The "Hochzeit & Feier" page is short and direct: "Habt Ihr bereits konkrete Ideen oder wollt Ihr euch einfach inspirieren lassen? Gerne beraten wir euch in einem Erstgespräch." Do you already have concrete ideas, or would you simply like to be inspired? The team is glad to advise in a first meeting, and a button offers to book an appointment. The page closes with "Gönnt euch für euren besonderen Tag ein buntes blühendes Glück", treat yourselves on your special day to some colorful, blooming happiness.
The offer page puts "florale Hochzeitsgestaltung", floral wedding design, first in its list of what the shop does, next to cheerful bouquets for delivery, gifts, new accents for the home and funeral floristry. It promises personal advice, time for the customer's wishes, and design with "viel Gespür für Farbe, Form und Saison", a strong feel for color, form and season. The homepage adds, for any celebration, that the team are specialized event florists.
The Wohnen side is relevant too. The homepage invites customers to browse for the home accessory they are still missing, a beautiful vase or a houseplant that adds humidity and improves the room climate, and promises individual advice to find "das grüne Juwel für Deine vier Wände", the green jewel for your own four walls. Beyond the shop floor, Anina Ziegler offers individual design concepts for rooms, matched to the client's wishes and the space. A couple who wants a reception room dressed as a whole, not just tables with flowers, has someone on the team whose training is exactly that.
Paper, not plastic
The homepage makes one environmental commitment in plain words: "Die Umwelt liegt uns am Herzen. Darum schützen und verpacken wir unsere liebevoll angefertigten Werkstücke mit Papier und verzichten auf den Gebrauch von Plastik." The shop cares about the environment, so it protects and wraps its pieces in paper and does without plastic.
Hours, contact and services
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 18:30 and on Saturday from 08:30 to 16:00. The address is St. Gallerstrasse 57, 8645 Jona, the phone number is 055 214 15 15 and the email address is info@schnittstell-jona.ch. The long weekday hours make it easy to fit in a first meeting after work, and the homepage ends with an open invitation to come by and get to know the team in person in the shop in Jona, where seasonal flowers are on display.
The site menu also lists a home delivery service (Hauslieferdienst), gift vouchers and DIY courses, alongside funeral floristry, where the shop offers to advise in person and design arrangements together with the customer.
What the site does not settle
No prices are published for weddings or for anything else, and there is no wedding package. The wedding page does not list what the shop makes for a wedding (bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, table and ceremony decoration, setup at the venue), how far ahead to book, or how far the team travels. A home delivery service exists, but the site does not say whether wedding flowers are delivered and set up at a venue.
The site is in German, addressing customers with the informal "Du" and "euch" on most pages, and it says nothing about English or other languages. A couple planning from abroad should ask about language when booking the first meeting, and ask whether that meeting can happen by phone or video.
Who it suits
Schnittstell suits couples marrying around Jona who want a florist with a trained team, an event focus and someone who thinks about whole rooms, not only bouquets. Couples who value the paper-not-plastic line and a shop open late on weekdays will find those spelled out.
It suits less well a couple who needs a priced package before first contact. The conversation starts with an appointment, and the details of delivery, setup and language have to be settled there.
