A flower shop in Giubiasco since 1989
Style Fleurs is a flower and plant shop at via San Giobbe 6 in Giubiasco, in Ticino, opened in 1989 by the florist Isabelle Andreetta, and its "Matrimoni ed eventi" page lists a full wedding service: bridal bouquets and trimmings, church decoration, decoration of restaurants, venues, homes and gardens, flowers for the car, carriage or bus, and reception decoration. Christenings are on the same list. The whole site is in Italian.
The homepage calls the shop "un giardino creativo", a creative garden where fine flowers and plants are made into compositions for every kind of occasion, and its tagline reads "Dove le emozioni e i sentimenti diventano composizioni floreali!", where emotions and feelings become floral compositions. It adds that the shop is always on the lookout for new trends and promises quality and impeccable service.
The wedding offer
The wedding page opens with "Style Fleurs decora i momenti più belli", Style Fleurs decorates the most beautiful moments, followed by the list of services:
- Mazzi da sposa e addobbi, bridal bouquets and decorations
- Decorazione chiesa, church decoration
- Decorazione ristorante, location, abitazioni, giardini, decoration of restaurants, venues, homes and gardens
- Decorazione auto, carrozza, bus, decoration of cars, carriages and buses
- Battesimo, christenings
- Decorazioni ricevimenti, reception decorations
That list covers the whole of a wedding day, from the ceremony to the reception and the transport in between, and it explicitly includes private homes and gardens, which matters for couples planning a celebration outside a hotel or restaurant. The page does not describe any of these items in more detail, and it gives no packages.
The team page adds that the shop is "molto attive con la preparazione di matrimoni, cene aziendali, e qualsiasi evento richiesto", very active in preparing weddings, company dinners and any event requested.
Who is behind it
Isabelle Andreetta, known as Isi, introduces herself on the "Chi siamo" page. "Nel 1986 ho ottenuto l'attestato federale di Fiorista a Losanna": in 1986 she obtained the federal florist certificate in Lausanne. After three years of experience in several large Swiss cities, she moved to Ticino, where she chose to open her own shop in 1989, which she calls the start of her wonderful adventure.
Today the shop is "un team di 3 fioriste", a team of 3 florists, and it always has an apprentice in training. The team writes that it keeps up to date regularly: "Ci aggiorniamo regolarmente con vari corsi sulle novità e le nuove tendenze", it regularly takes courses on new developments and trends.
The same page describes the house style. "La nostra caratteristica è la passione per la tendenza del momento nell’ambito decorativo con i suoi colori, forme e materiali." What characterizes the team is a passion for the current trend in decoration, with its colors, forms and materials, which it sets off with taste and elegance "rispettando sempre la naturale bellezza dei vegetali", always respecting the natural beauty of the plants.
The shop also names one formal partnership: it is the official partner of the funeral home in Bellinzona and handles funeral work, with its own "Arte funeraria" page.
Turning the list into a request
Because the page gives a list rather than a package, the list is the best template for a first message. For the bouquet and trimmings, a couple can describe the dress, the colors and any flowers they want or want to avoid. For the church, the name of the church and the date. For a restaurant, venue, home or garden, the address, the number of tables and whether there is an arch or entrance to dress. For the car, carriage or bus, the vehicle and where it will be decorated. A couple planning a christening close to the wedding can raise it in the same exchange, since it sits on the same page.
Seeing the work
The homepage has a gallery headed "Matrimoni ed eventi 2018", weddings and events 2018, and the wedding page carries two galleries of its own. None of the images are captioned in the text, so they show the style but do not name venues or couples. The menu also has a "Proposte" page with suggestions. For a couple planning from a distance, these galleries are the main way to judge whether the look suits them before getting in touch.
Contact
The address is Style Fleurs, via San Giobbe 6, 6512 Giubiasco. The phone number, 091 857 68 48, appears on every page, and the email address is fioristylefleurs@gmail.com. The menu has a contact page. The site does not list opening hours.
What the site does not settle
No prices are published, for weddings or anything else, and no packages. The site does not say how far ahead a wedding should be booked, whether there is a minimum order, or how far outside Giubiasco the team will decorate a church, restaurant or garden. It does not describe delivery or setup on the day: the service list names church, venue and vehicle decoration without saying when and how the team puts it in place.
Language is the main open point for a couple from abroad. The site is in Italian only and says nothing about English, German or French. The founder's certificate was earned in Lausanne and she worked in several Swiss cities, but the site does not state which languages the team works in, so a couple should ask in their first message. Email is the practical starting point, since it gives both sides time to translate.
Who it suits
Style Fleurs suits couples marrying in Ticino who want one florist for the whole day: bouquet, church, reception venue or private garden, and the car or carriage. A team of 3 florists with an apprentice, in a shop open since 1989, gives more capacity than a one-person studio, and the stated interest in current trends suits couples who want a contemporary look.
It suits less well a couple who needs to see prices and a detailed package list before making contact, or who cannot work in Italian. A couple planning from abroad should look at the galleries, write by email with the date, the ceremony and reception locations and the style they have in mind, and ask about language and on-site setup in the same message.
