Hotel Beaulac

Tap a star to rate

Hotel Beaulac is a hotel directly on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel, at 2 Esplanade Léopold-Robert in the center of Neuchâtel, a short walk from the historic old town. Its wedding page, published on the hotel's blog in July 2025, describes a main reception hall of 226 m² with a panoramic view of the lake, for weddings from 45 guests up to larger events, and lists exactly what the basic package includes. For couples from abroad it combines a lake view, rooms upstairs and a clear structure.

The setting

The page begins by acknowledging that a wedding is one day but also months of preparation, choices, details and stress, and asks whether in Neuchâtel it could all be simpler without giving up the elegance of the place, the quality of the meal or the emotion of the moment. It presents the Beaulac as a recognized wedding venue in Neuchâtel, valued for its setting, its professionalism and its ability to adapt to each couple. Then it turns to the view: set directly on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel, the hotel has what the page calls an exceptional location, "entre ville et nature, entre ciel et eau" (between city and nature, between sky and water). It says this is what gives each wedding held there its particular atmosphere. The footer describes the hotel as combining an urban atmosphere with a haven of peace in the heart of the historic center.

The reception hall is 226 m² with a lake view. It takes weddings "à partir de 45 convives" (from 45 guests) up to larger events, and the hotel team handles the table setup. The page does not give a maximum.

What the basic package includes

The page calls its offer "une offre claire", with services included in the base package and options on top. Included:

  • a 1-hour apéritif with a drinks package
  • a 4-course menu, also with a drinks package
  • printed personalized menus
  • a tasting of the chosen menu for 2 people, planned in advance
  • a games room reserved for children, "un vrai plus pour les familles" (a real plus for families)
  • an Executive Lake room for the couple, with breakfast
  • permission for a late finish
  • 2 reserved parking spaces

The page says this structure gives a clear picture of the evening "sans coûts cachés" (without hidden costs). It does not, however, publish the price of the base package itself.

Priced options

The page lists options with prices:

  • an apéritif at the Waves Sky Bar with 3 savory bites, CHF 15 per person, in what the page calls a modern, open setting
  • a wedding cake at CHF 15 per person, or in place of the dessert
  • an open bar after dinner, from midnight, at CHF 100 per hour per server
  • preferential rates for guests' rooms in the hotel

The team and outside suppliers

The page stresses experience: more than 200 weddings organized at the hotel and 30 years of experience. Each couple works with one reference person who follows the project from the first visit to the end of the evening, so preferences do not have to be explained twice. The page adds that what couples who married at the Beaulac tend to mention in their feedback is the same thing: peace of mind, "la tranquillité d’esprit". The seating plan is agreed together, and the menu tasting takes place in advance. Couples are free to bring their own outside suppliers for music, photography and decoration, and the team can recommend some if needed.

The page also stresses flexibility: a seated dinner with a traditional running order, or a long apéritif with a DJ and a buffet, are both possible. There is no set format, it says; the team adapts the space, the timing and the services. The page describes the hotel as neither a castle to rent privately nor a community hall to furnish yourself: everything is ready, but everything can be personalized.

Staying and eating at the hotel

The hotel's menu lists seven room categories: Confort, Supérieure, Deluxe, Executive, Junior Suite, Suite and Grande Suite. Wedding guests get preferential rates, which the page presents as a way for guests who have come from far away to enjoy the party without logistics. The hotel has restaurants and a bar, listed as Lake Side, Lounge and Waves, with sushi at the Waves, plus conference and banquet rooms, services and a fitness room. That covers a welcome dinner, a day-after lunch and the couple's wedding night in one building.

Getting there

The page says the hotel is easy to reach by car, with parking on site, on foot from the station, or by public transport. For guests arriving by train, that means no shuttle is needed from the station. The hotel's blog also publishes regional guides, for example on La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle, winter sports in the Neuchâtel Jura and New Year's Eve in Neuchâtel, which help guests plan extra days.

Language and contact

The site is available in French, English and German, and the wedding page is written in French. The page does not say which languages the wedding team works in. Contact for weddings is +41 32 723 11 11 or sales@beaulac.ch, and there is an online form and a presentation brochure to request a quote and check availability; the team then follows up to refine the project.

What the page does not settle

The base package price, deposit and cancellation terms are not on the page. The page does not say whether a ceremony can be held at the hotel, civil or otherwise, so the ceremony is arranged elsewhere or discussed with the team. It gives no maximum guest number for the hall and does not say how late the late-finish permission runs.

Who it suits

Hotel Beaulac suits a couple with at least 45 guests who want a lake-view wedding dinner in a city hotel, with rooms for guests upstairs, a clear list of inclusions and a single contact person. It is especially practical for guests arriving by train. The caveats are the undisclosed base price, the French-only wedding page, and a professional hotel setting rather than a private or rustic one.
