Excelsior has traded at Place Bel-Air in Lausanne since 1909 and runs a rental side for grooms who would rather hire than buy. A complete smoking outfit can be hired, picked up three or four days before the event. The alterations and the dry cleaning afterwards are part of the rental, with only express alterations inside 24 hours charged separately.
Shirts are sold rather than rented, for hygiene reasons, in collar sizes 37 to 47, and bow ties are available too. The shop also offers a made-to-measure option through Me by CANALI for those who want their own suit. Service is in French and English.
