Benjamin Pierre is a wedding photographer based in Geneva who presents himself as a "photographe de mariage luxe", a luxury wedding photographer, with an editorial style drawn from fashion photography. His Geneva page says he has been based there for more than 10 years, and the site has separate pages for Montreux, Lausanne, Geneva, Lake Geneva and Gstaad, as well as Lake Como and Provence. The footer sums up his reach: based in Geneva, available in Switzerland and worldwide. The listing links to his Montreux page, but the most practical detail about his collections sits on the Geneva page.

Style and clientele

The Geneva page describes an approach inspired by the great fashion houses, turning each moment into a timeless photograph, and names three foundations: "Discrétion absolue", anticipation of the key moments, and control of natural light. It describes his Geneva clients as diplomatic families, heads of multinational companies, international personalities and demanding French-Swiss couples, and states that he shares no image without the couple's explicit consent. For couples who care about privacy, that last point is worth having in writing.

His portfolio page pairs a wedding gallery with a fashion and editorial gallery, and presents three wedding stories: a lakeside villa on Lake Como in 2024, an alpine wedding at the Gstaad Palace in 2024, and a small wedding at a private family property by the lake in Cologny, Geneva, in 2023.

The collections

The Geneva page and its FAQ set out three collections, each quoted to measure rather than priced online.

  • Essentiel. 8 hours of coverage and 400+ retouched photos. The full gallery is delivered within 6 weeks. An engagement session is available as an option.
  • Signature. Described as the most chosen: 12 hours, a 30 x 30 cm luxury album, an engagement session included, and delivery within 4 weeks.
  • Prestige. For two-day weddings or exceptional properties: unlimited coverage over 2 days with two photographers, an unlimited gallery, and express delivery within 3 weeks.

Every collection includes a free consultation, a secure private online gallery for 2 years, and high-resolution files without restrictions on use. A preview of 20 to 30 images is shared within 48 hours of the wedding. Details of the collections and the creative process are in a brochure that couples can download or request.

Montreux and the Riviera

The Montreux page describes the town's mild microclimate, the palm trees along the lake, Château de Chillon lit at night and the snowy peaks behind, and it lists Château de Chillon, the Montreux Palace, the Grand Hôtel du Lac and the Domaine de la Corniche as reception venues. Its FAQ gives a useful caveat about Chillon: it is an iconic place, but private ceremonies there are tightly regulated. He writes that his team works regularly around the castle and knows the best viewpoints, and that for weddings inside the castle they can put couples in touch with the organizers. On seasons, the page says spring (April to June) and summer (July and August) are beautiful for flowers and warmth, autumn (September and October) has golden colors, and winter with snow on the peaks has its own charm.

Geneva, Lausanne and the lake

For Geneva, he names the Beau-Rivage, the Villa Diodati in Cologny, the Château de Penthes in its century-old park, the Domaine de Villette in Cologny and the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues among his favorite venues. For civil weddings, the page says, he knows the light of the Hôtel de Ville and the civil registry at Plainpalais well, and for religious ceremonies he has photographed in the city's churches and synagogues.

The Lausanne page calls the Beau-Rivage Palace "la référence absolue", names Lausanne Palace, the Château d'Ouchy and the Domaine de Châteauvieux, and describes the Lavaux vineyards as one of his favorite places for couple and group photos. It says the whole north shore of the lake, from Geneva to Lausanne through Nyon and Morges, is his territory. The Lake Geneva page covers weddings on the CGN's historic steamboats, which it says can take up to several hundred guests, and states that his team has specific experience photographing on boats.

Gstaad

The Gstaad page names the Palace Gstaad, the Chalet Royalp Ultima Gstaad and the BergResort Schloss Zollhaus. Its FAQ says the Palace is one of his favorite venues and that his team works closely with the hotel's staff. Winter weddings in Gstaad, it says, with snow, lit chalets and horse-drawn sleighs, have a fairy-tale atmosphere, and the team has specific experience in alpine winter photography. For Gstaad he recommends booking 18 to 24 months ahead, especially for Christmas, New Year and the resort's major events.

Booking, travel and portrait sessions

For Geneva high-season dates (May to September) he recommends booking 12 to 18 months ahead, and notes that some weekend dates go up to 2 years in advance. Every regional page says 2026 and 2027 dates are filling fast and offers a date-check form.

On travel, the Geneva FAQ says he covers Geneva and its region with no surcharge, including communes such as Cologny, Céligny, Satigny and Carouge, the canton of Vaud (Lausanne, Nyon, Rolle) and French Haute-Savoie (Annecy, Megève, Chamonix). For destinations outside Switzerland, travel costs are built into the quote.

Beyond weddings, the portfolio page lists an engagement session (2 hours, 80+ photos, a place of the couple's choice), an editorial portrait session (3 hours, 120+ photos, art direction included) and a half-day "Séance Destinazione" at a destination of the client's choice, with a film included. Portrait sessions are prepared with location scouting and art direction and delivered within 2 weeks. The services menu also lists an editorial workshop.

Language and contact

The site is written in French, with a "Switch to English" link on every page. It does not say in which languages he works with couples. Contact is by the site's form or by email at benjaminpierrephotographie@gmail.com, and the address given is Geneva.

What the site does not settle

The one gap that matters is the price: the site describes the collections in detail but publishes no figures, and every quote is made to measure. Couples should ask for the brochure and a quote early, and confirm the working language if they do not speak French.

Who it suits

Benjamin Pierre suits couples planning a high-end wedding on Lake Geneva, in Montreux, Lausanne or Geneva, or in Gstaad, who want an editorial, fashion-influenced look, strict discretion and a clear structure of collections with fast delivery. The long booking windows he recommends mean he is best approached early. Couples on a tight budget should note the luxury positioning and the absence of published prices.
