A family wine estate in Fully

Domaine Roduit is a family wine estate at Chemin des Claives 20 in Fully, Valais, which opens its grounds for weddings with a ceremony under a flowered pergola among the vines. The site presents the family as making wine since 1952, with Bernard and Joël Roduit signing the introduction, and describes its range as ambassadors for the terraced vineyards of Martigny, Leytron and Fully. The estate also says it now works with Vignerons Consultants, an international wine consultancy, on its wines.

The wedding page, published in French, is short and concrete. It welcomes couples to celebrate "dans un cadre idyllique" (in an idyllic setting) and describes the place as "Entouré de vignobles au pied de la Combe d'Enfer et de montagnes" (surrounded by vineyards at the foot of the Combe d'Enfer and mountains), with a panoramic view and refined spaces. Couples are invited to "Échangez vos vœux sous une pergola fleurie" (exchange your vows under a flowered pergola), and the page says the estate's team looks after every detail of the day.

What makes this listing useful to a couple planning from abroad is that, unlike most Swiss venues, it publishes a price list for its extras. What it does not publish is a rental fee for the grounds themselves.

The ceremony and the spaces

The signature feature is the flowered pergola for the vows, set in the vineyard. The wedding page does not give a guest capacity for the pergola or the outdoor area, and it does not describe a covered alternative if the weather turns.

The estate also rents an interior room, the Salle la Combe d'Enfer, which its own page describes as suitable for private and professional events. The body text says the room holds up to 30 people in a friendly atmosphere; the page title says up to 35. That room page is written for seminars and group meals rather than weddings, and the site does not say whether it can serve as the indoor fallback for a wedding or be booked together with the outdoor space. For a very small wedding, or a rehearsal dinner the evening before, it is worth asking.

Published prices for the wedding extras

The wedding page lists these rental items under "Location":

  • Professional sound system: CHF 400, installation included
  • Lighting: spots and outdoor garlands (no price given)
  • Staff: CHF 35 per hour per person
  • Outdoor barrel bar: CHF 200, installation included
  • Tables of 4m: CHF 10 per table
  • Tableware (large and small plates): 0,20ct per piece, as the page writes it

The page does not publish a base fee for the ceremony, the pergola or the grounds. Whether the use of the outdoor space carries its own charge is a question to put to the estate.

The drinks rule, and what food is offered

The wedding page sets conditions that shape the whole event. Wine must be taken from Domaine Roduit at the price of its private-client list ("au prix de la carte clientèle privée"). Coffee and mineral water must also come from the estate. The page prices them: coffee or tea at CHF 3 each, and still or sparkling water at CHF 9 per liter. The private-client wine list itself is not on the wedding page.

For couples who want Valais wine at the center of the day this is the point of the place. For couples with a favorite wine supplier or a plan to bring their own, it is a firm constraint to know about before anything else.

The wedding page does not mention food at all: no menu, no caterer, and no statement on whether couples may bring their own caterer. The estate does run its own food formats for groups. The site's menu lists a Brochette Party, a fondue at the estate, a company day with a brochette party, raclette and a tavolata, and the room page describes coffee and croissants, raclette and the Brochette Party as options to accompany an event. None of these is presented as a wedding menu, so what the estate can cater for a wedding, and whether an outside caterer is allowed, are the first questions to ask.

Room packages as a price reference

The room page publishes packages for the Salle la Combe d'Enfer, which give an idea of the estate's price level even though they are built for work sessions:

  • Room hire: CHF 15 per person with a minimum of 300, including the room for 4 hours, a projector and mineral water
  • Room with coffee and croissants: CHF 20 per person with a minimum of 300, with the same 4 hours, projector and water
  • Room with raclette: CHF 80 per person, including the room for the whole day, a tasting, a Valais dish of raclette and dessert, with wine and drinks included

What the site does not settle

The site is published in French only and does not state whether the team works in English. Couples who do not speak French should confirm this in their first email.

The wedding page gives no season, no capacity for an outdoor wedding, no deposit, no booking lead time and no cancellation terms. It does not mention parking, public transport, a shuttle or accommodation for guests, and it does not say how late a celebration can run or whether there are noise limits in the vineyard. Guests coming from abroad will need their own plan for getting to Fully and for where to sleep.

Enquiries go to info@roduitvins.ch or by phone to the number the page gives, 027 746 12 59.

Who it suits

Domaine Roduit suits couples who want a vineyard ceremony in Valais with the estate's own wine on the tables, and who like knowing the cost of the extras before they ask. The published staff rate, sound, bar and table prices make budgeting easier than at most venues, and the family winemaking history since 1952 gives the setting substance.

It suits a small or mid-sized wedding better than a large one: the only published capacity is the interior room's, and a big guest list would depend entirely on the outdoor area and the weather. It is less suited to couples who want to choose their own wine, who need a full in-house catering package spelled out in advance, or whose guests need hotel rooms and transport arranged by the venue. Those parts sit with the couple.
