A designer boutique outside Zurich
Mitterhofer Brautmode is a bridal boutique at Brandbachstrasse 10 in Dietlikon, which the business itself describes as "bei Zürich" (near Zurich). It sells wedding dresses from international designers, and its own summary of the collection is three phrases: modern silhouettes, timeless elegance, international designers. The shop has no published opening hours. Its contact block reads "Wir öffnen für Dich nach Vereinbarung", meaning it opens for you by arrangement, so every visit is booked in advance.
The site says the boutique holds over 300 carefully selected wedding dresses from international designers and exclusive labels. The names it gives are Rosa Clará, Enzoani, élysée, Sophia Tolli Couture and Agnieszka Światły, followed by "sowie viele mehr" (and many more). The range, in the boutique's own description, runs from clean, minimalist designs through feminine lace and elegant A-lines to princess dresses, romantic couture and what it calls statement looks. The wording leans toward quality fabrics and particular details rather than heavy decoration.
The Brautmode page sorts the stock into three style groups: princess and A-line dresses, vintage and boho dresses (described as romantic dresses with a modern lightness), and fit and flare and mermaid dresses. For a bride who already knows which silhouette she wants, those three headings are a quick way to judge whether the shop is worth the trip.
The owner is Tina Mitterhofer, who signs the About page together with her team, "Mit Herz, Stil und Erfahrung" (with heart, style and experience).
What the fitting appointment involves
The services page sets out how an appointment works. The boutique recommends bringing at most three companions so that the appointment stays relaxed. During the fitting, the bride and her companions are offered sparkling wine, coffee, tea and water.
There is a fee. The site states that a charge of CHF 100 applies to the consultation appointment, and that it is credited in full when you buy your wedding dress or outfit there. In practice that makes the fee a deposit on your time: a bride who buys pays nothing extra, and a bride who leaves without a dress has paid CHF 100 for the session. The page does not say how long an appointment lasts.
The About page describes the approach in general terms. The team takes time, listens, and accompanies the bride "ehrlich und mit viel Feingefühl", honestly and with a lot of sensitivity. It says the aim is a dress in which the bride feels not only beautiful but above all like herself, whether that is clean and modern, romantic, glamorous or a princess look. That is marketing language, but it does tell you the appointment is guided by staff rather than a browse-the-rails visit.
Exclusive appointments outside opening hours
For brides who want more privacy, the boutique offers exclusive fittings outside its regular opening hours. The services page puts it plainly: during that time the boutique belongs entirely to you, with only you, your loved ones and the search for the dress, "Ohne Hektik. Ohne Ablenkung." (No rush. No distraction.)
This could suit a bride who is shy about being seen in fitting dresses, a family arriving together from abroad on a fixed day, or anyone who wants the whole shop to herself. The site does not state whether these exclusive sessions cost more than the standard CHF 100 consultation, or on which days or times they can be booked, so both are questions to put in the first message.
Collection and season
The boutique advertises the current bridal collection for 2026/2027, and the homepage carries a section on bridal dress trends for 2027, which it presents as a first look at the new season, from fine lace and particular details to modern, clear silhouettes. It adds that many more dresses are waiting in the boutique than the site shows.
The site does not publish dress prices or a price range, and it gives no information on how long an ordered dress takes to arrive. Anyone planning from abroad should ask about both early, because the order and the fittings have to fit around a wedding date and around trips to Switzerland.
Booking, language and practical details
Contact runs through a web form, a phone number (+41 79 899 88 66) and an email address (info@mitterhofer-brautmode.com). The form asks for first name, last name, email address, phone number, subject and message. The site's navigation also lists an appointment page (Termin) and an FAQ section.
The site is published in German, and the contact form is set up in German too. Nothing on the pages says whether fittings can be held in English, French or any other language. For a couple from abroad, the simplest route is to write in English and ask directly whether the appointment can be conducted in English. That is an open question, not something the site promises.
What the site does not settle
Several things a couple planning from outside Switzerland would want to know are not on the boutique's pages:
- Dress prices, a price range or a minimum spend. The only published figure is the CHF 100 consultation fee.
- Order and delivery times for a dress, and deposit and payment terms.
- Whether alterations are done in house or by an outside seamstress, and what they cost.
- How long a standard appointment lasts, and the cost and times of the exclusive sessions.
- Directions, public transport or parking. The site gives the street address only.
- Accommodation. The boutique names no hotels, so visitors from abroad arrange their own stay.
The site also links to general terms and conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen), which is where cancellation or payment rules may sit, and is worth reading before a booking.
Who it suits
Mitterhofer Brautmode suits a bride who wants a wide choice of international designer labels in one place, a quiet, booked appointment rather than a busy shop floor, and a style direction that leans modern and refined. The list of labels and the size of the stock make it a reasonable single stop for a bride living in or near Zurich, and the style groups on the site help narrow things down before a visit.
For a bride flying in, the appointment-only model is a practical advantage: you can fix a date and time around a trip rather than hoping to catch opening hours. The caveats are the CHF 100 fee if you do not buy, a German-only website, and no published information on prices or delivery times. Ask about those three things first, and the boutique's answers will quickly show whether the timeline and budget work for your wedding.
