Herz Zeremonie
Tap a star to rate
Herz Zeremonie is the business of Ursi, a celebrant (Traurednerin) based at Ducanstrasse 8 in Davos Platz, Graubünden, who leads free, personalized wedding ceremonies. Her pages are built around the mountains she calls home: forest weddings, winter weddings in the snow, ceremonies in the Sertig valley near Davos, and an elopement package with a partner restaurant and chalet. She also says a couple can hold their ceremony anywhere they like, from a beach to their own garden.
What a free ceremony means here
On her ceremony page Ursi describes a free wedding ceremony as «eine wundervolle Ergänzung zu der standesamtlichen Trauung» (a wonderful complement to the civil wedding at the registry office), one that is not tied to a place and can be held anywhere. The offers page adds that every culture, ritual, idea and dream has its place in it, and that she loves marrying all kinds of couples, «so bunt wie das Leben und die Liebe ist» (as colorful as life and love).
The list of settings on that page is broad: barefoot on a beach, in your own garden, by a lake, at a castle, on a flower meadow, in the forest, in the mountains, or a winter wedding in a mountain hut in Davos. She says the offers shown are only part of what is possible.
The ceremonies she offers
The offers page lists:
- Freie Trauungszeremonie: the basic free ceremony, anywhere.
- Eheversprechen erneuern: a vow renewal for an anniversary.
- Waldhochzeit: a forest wedding in a clearing. Ursi says she is an «ausgebildete Naturpädagogin» (trained nature educator) and will come to your favorite forest. The page describes each season: spring scents and colors, summer shade, rustling autumn leaves, winter stillness, and notes that a forest theme carries easily from invitations to decoration and outfits.
- Trauung im Waldhuus Davos: the ceremony in front of a mountain backdrop, followed by the wedding meal in the Hotel Waldhuus.
- Trauung im Sertig Dörfli Davos: a ceremony with the Restaurant Bergführer in Sertig (detailed below).
- Elopement: a ceremony for the two of you or a very small circle.
- Ehe für alle, LGBTQ+: ceremonies for same-sex couples. The page notes that since 1 July 2022 they can finally marry, and opens with «Was gibt es schöneres als die Liebe eurer Herzen zu finden und diese grosse Liebe mit einer Trauungszeremonie zu besiegeln?» (what could be more beautiful than finding the love of your hearts and sealing it with a wedding ceremony?).
- Wintermärchenhochzeit: a winter fairy-tale wedding.
- Zeremonie in der Toskana: a beach ceremony in Tuscany, perhaps at sunset.
- Trauung im Walserhuus Sertig: a ceremony near a waterfall in the Sertig glacier valley.
The Waldhuus, Walserhuus and Bergführer are separate businesses the pages name as settings or partners, not venues Ursi runs.
The Sertig elopement package
This is the one offer with full details and a price. It is a joint arrangement with the Restaurant Bergführer in Sertig, signed by «Nina vom Bergführer und Herz-Zeremonie». The page describes an elopement as a ceremony for two or a small circle at a place that matters to you, and notes it can be held on a weekday, which leaves more room for honeymoon days.
Ursi's part covers a first, no-obligation meeting in person or online; an in-depth planning meeting at your home or at hers in Davos, with the option of driving to Sertig together to see the place; a ceremony of about 30 minutes shaped to your wishes; and her arrival about 1.5 hours before the ceremony to settle in and set up. She joins the toast at the aperitif and then leaves the couple to celebrate.
The chalet part includes 4 nights at the Chalet Berghof in Sertig (the page describes it as 5 days, so you can arrive the day before), a welcome basket of homemade specialties from the Restaurant Bergführer, and a soft drink after the ceremony. The page gives a flat price of 3800 for the combined arrangement. Breakfast is optional: a small breakfast at CHF 29.00 per person, or a large one with champagne, homemade focaccia, Graubünden organic beef tartare, smoked salmon, smoothies and muesli at CHF 58.00 per person. The Bergführer takes direct inquiries for a wedding aperitif or meal, and the partners offer tips on other suppliers.
Winter weddings
The winter page gives practical timing. From November to the end of March the mountains are under snow; December and February are the busy winter months in Davos, while November, January and March are quieter. It suggests a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow, an aperitif with mulled wine or hot chocolate by a fire, and winter wedding photos. Couples who want «die schönsten Insider-Plätze» (the best insider spots) in her home region should contact her early to reserve them.
Booking and contact
The homepage contact form asks for your name, email, phone, the place you have in mind for the ceremony or a christening (Trauung | Taufe) and your preferred date. Ursi can also be reached at ursi@herz-zeremonie.ch or on 081 501 63 68. The first meeting is framed as a chance to see whether you get on.
What the site does not settle
The site gives a price only for the Sertig package; there are no fees for a standard free ceremony, a forest wedding or the Waldhuus ceremony. The pages are in German only and do not say whether Ursi leads ceremonies in English. They do not say how far she travels beyond Davos, or what the Tuscany ceremony involves in terms of travel and cost. They do not describe how many planning meetings a standard ceremony includes. Guests' travel to Davos and Sertig is not covered on these pages.
Who it suits
Herz Zeremonie suits couples who want a free ceremony in the Davos mountains, especially in winter or in the forest, and couples planning a small elopement who like the idea of a fixed-price package with ceremony and chalet stay together. Same-sex couples are welcomed explicitly.
The caveats for a couple from abroad are the German-only site and the lack of prices outside the Sertig package. Ask about English, the fee for your chosen format and her travel range in the first message.
