What Magic P offers
Magic P is a Swiss magician who performs a stage program and close-up table magic at weddings, birthdays and corporate events, and runs magic courses and birthday shows for children. His homepage leads with the line "Die meisten Leute vergessen meinen Namen... Die Magie aus über 3900 Shows bleibt" (most people forget my name, the magic from over 3900 shows stays), and the references page repeats the figure as "3900 Zaubershows Erfahrung." The site closes with a short motto, "Magie passiert. Wirkung bleibt." (magic happens, the effect remains). He writes that he has been doing magic since he was five years old. The contact page is titled "Zauberer Bern," and the site is published in German only.
The wedding programs
Two of his programs suit a wedding.
The Deluxe Zauberprogramm runs 35 minutes. The homepage says it brings "verblüffender Zauberkunst und charmanter Unterhaltung" (astonishing magic and charming entertainment) to events, and names weddings alongside birthdays and corporate events. The site does not describe the tricks in the program or whether it is performed on a stage, so couples should ask what it involves and what room it needs. A 35-minute set fits an after-dinner slot or a break between courses.
The Apéro / Tischzauberei (apéro and table magic) is offered in 30, 60 or 120 minute blocks. He circulates among the guests and the table groups with small props, and the page names a deck of cards, ropes and silk scarves. The motto is "Zauberei aus nächster Nähe" (magic from up close), and the page says most guests have never seen a magician from such a short distance and are surprised that the tricks work even with people crowding round. He recommends it for the apéro or for short interludes between meal courses.
He also writes that, having done magic since childhood, he knows many tricks and can improvise with almost any small object: a lighter, or a guest's bunch of keys. Guests, he says, tend to ask questions during table magic, which he answers and then follows up with another trick. That makes the table format the more conversational of the two.
The satisfaction guarantee
The table magic page carries an unusual promise: "Sollten Sie nach dem Programm mit meiner Leistung nicht zufrieden sein, verzichte ich komplett auf meine Gage" (if you are not satisfied with my performance after the program, I waive my fee entirely). He adds that he can offer this because it has never happened in over 3900 shows and seminars. Couples should ask how the guarantee works in practice, for example whether it is claimed on the night or afterwards.
Pricing and booking
No fixed prices are published. Instead, the quote form asks the client to pick a budget band: max. CHF 700, CHF 700 to 900, CHF 900 to 1100, CHF 1100 to 1500, or CHF 1500 to 2500. Those bands give a sense of what he expects clients to spend, though the site does not say which band a given program falls in.
The form asks for name, postcode and town, phone, the date and location of the event, the approximate show start, the number of guests, email, a comment, the budget band, and which modules are wanted: Deluxe program, apéro and table magic, children's magic course or children's birthday. He promises a detailed, non-binding quote, and gives his phone number, 079 341 86 28, for questions.
Children's offers
For a wedding with many children among the guests, the children's programs are worth knowing about. The homepage says he has introduced over 7000 children to magic in about 300 courses, for holiday programs, school projects and libraries. His children's birthday format runs 60 minutes, in which children learn about 5 to 7 tricks to take home, followed by a show of about 25 minutes. The site presents these as birthday and course formats, so a couple would need to ask whether something similar can run as a side program at a wedding.
References
The references page names corporate clients including Swiss Re, Energie Thun, Frutiger AG, GE Money Bank, Robert Bosch AG, Die Mobiliar, Winterthur insurance, Crédit Suisse, Coca-Cola, Kursaal Bern, Swisscom, Basler Versicherungen, the Federal Office of Meteorology and several hospitals, plus schools, weddings, birthdays, gala dinners, trade associations, hotels and political events. At trade fairs, it lists 3× Swissbau, 3× MUBA, 4× BEA, 4× Autosalon Genf, 3× Zugermesse, 2× OHA Thun, 2× LUGA, the Olma in St. Gallen, a wedding fair (Hochzeits-Messe) and others. The list gives names, not dates or reviews, and there are no wedding testimonials on the pages.
Language and travel
The whole site is in German, and it does not say whether he performs in English or French. A stage program and table patter depend on talk, so a couple with an English-speaking guest list should ask directly whether he can perform in English and how much of the act relies on German. The contact page title and several references point to the Bern area, but the site does not state where he is based or how far he travels, and it publishes no travel charges. The form's field for the event location is the place to raise that.
What the site does not settle
Beyond language and travel, the pages do not say what technical setup the Deluxe program needs (space, sound, a microphone), whether the 35 minutes includes setup, or whether the two programs can be combined into one booking. There is no deposit or cancellation policy, no stated booking lead time and no stated reply time. Couples should ask for video or references from past weddings, since the site lists weddings among his clients but names none.
Who it suits
Magic P suits German-speaking weddings in and around Bern where the couple wants a clear, bounded entertainment slot: table magic through the apéro, a 35-minute set after dinner, or both. The budget bands on the form let a couple set a ceiling before asking, and the satisfaction guarantee lowers the risk of booking an entertainer unseen. His long list of corporate and trade fair appearances shows he is used to working a crowd.
The caveat for an international wedding is language: with a German-only site and no statement about English, an English-speaking audience is a question to settle first. Couples wanting a detailed picture of the show before booking will need to ask for it, since the site describes formats and durations more than content.
