Andrea Feldmann Fotografie

Tap a star to rate

Andrea Feldmann is a photographer with a business address in Wabern who trades as Andrea Feldmann Photography Bern. Most of her work is portraits of people, families, babies and animals, and weddings are a small, deliberate part of it: on her blog she writes, "Ganz bewusst nehme ich nur sehr wenige Anfragen für Hochzeitsreportagen im Jahr an", meaning she consciously accepts only very few requests for wedding reportages each year. All four weddings on her blog took place at castles, and she quotes each wedding individually.

Her approach to a wedding day

The post on a wedding at Schloss Bümpliz explains why the few weddings she takes matter to her. Because there are so few, she writes, those days are all the more special, and she enjoys discovering new venues and meeting new people each time. "Authentische Gefühle, strahlende Gesichter, glückliche Menschen, das ist was ich so liebe": authentic feelings, beaming faces and happy people are what she loves to photograph. When a beautiful setting and careful decoration come together with that, she says, her photographer's heart jumps for joy.

The most useful line for a couple is about her role on the day. She writes that she is not only the couple's wedding photographer but also their friend, helper and point of contact for whatever they need to feel content and happy. Put simply, she sees herself as part of the support around the couple, not only as someone recording it.

The Schloss Landshut post closes with the same idea from the other side: couples who want authentic, genuine feelings kept in photographs for good are invited to get in touch, and she offers to prepare an individual quote.

Weddings on the site

Her blog files wedding posts under two categories, "Hochzeitsfotografie" and "Hochzeitsfotografie Bern", and together they show four weddings, all at castles.

  • Schloss Münsingen, May 2017. Posted the day after, with the note that this wedding had opened her wedding season that year and a few photos of a couple she describes as wonderful.
  • Schloss Landshut, October 2018. Written the week after the Saturday wedding, the post outlines the order of the day: a bridal couple shoot at the castle first, then the ceremony and the aperitif, and in the evening, in bright sunshine, a move to a second venue near Aarberg for the celebration. It is a good example of a day with two locations.
  • Schloss Waldegg, September 2020. A short post, headed simply "Hochzeitsreportage", that lets a gallery of the day speak for itself.
  • Schloss Bümpliz, September 2022. A wedding she accompanied that summer, posted as "ein paar Eindrücke" (a few impressions) together with her thoughts on why she takes on so few weddings. It is also the one post that talks about the setting, the enchanting backdrop and the decoration.

Each post is short, a paragraph or two with a selection of photos, so the galleries rather than the text are the place to judge her style. The most recent wedding post is from 2022, which a couple should keep in mind when asking about her current availability for weddings.

The rest of her work

The site's menu shows how broad her photography is. She offers newborn and baby shoots, pregnancy photos, children and family portraits, couple shoots, portraits and branding or business photography, and a series of people-and-animal shoots, with blog categories for horse shoots, animal photography and a child-and-pony mini shoot, plus mother-and-daughter sessions. There is also a section called "Seelenfotografie", a photography course and workshops. Her blog also has an event category, where the one other post is a confirmation she photographed for a family in 2019.

For a wedding couple, the relevant piece is the couple shoot, which she offers as a session of its own and which could be booked before the wedding. She introduces the blog itself as the place for posts on her current shoots, upcoming projects and personal thoughts, so it gives a fair picture of what she spends most of her time photographing.

Contact and practical details

The footer on every page gives the business address, Giessenweg 10 in 3084 Wabern, an email address, andrea.feldmann@bluewin.ch, and a phone number, 0041 (0)79 682 85 66. The site also lists general terms (AGB), a privacy notice and an imprint.

The site has a page headed "Infos / Preise" (information and prices) in its menu. The wedding posts themselves give no prices; the Landshut post says each couple gets an individual quote.

Her blog categories name Bern for families, babies, newborns and weddings alike, which is the clearest statement of her working area on the site; no other region is named.

Language

The site is written in German. A few menu items are in English ("About Me", "Couple-Shooting"), but the posts and the footer are German, and nothing says whether she works with couples in English. A couple from abroad should settle that in the first message.

What the site does not settle

  • Wedding prices and packages. The wedding posts give none; the couple has to ask for a quote.
  • Coverage. No hours or packages are described for weddings.
  • Delivery. There is no stated turnaround, number of images, album or file format.
  • Booking terms. No deposit or lead time is given in the wedding posts, though the site does publish general terms.
  • Travel. She does not say how far she travels for a wedding.
  • Current wedding work. The most recent wedding post is from 2022.

Who it suits

Andrea Feldmann suits couples marrying in or around Bern, particularly at a castle venue like Bümpliz, Landshut, Waldegg or Münsingen, who want a small-scale photographer who takes very few weddings and gives each one personal attention. Couples with children or a large family may appreciate someone whose everyday work is family and baby photography. The caveats are practical: the site gives little detail on wedding coverage and none on delivery, it is in German, and because she limits the number of weddings she takes, a couple should contact her early and ask directly whether she is still taking wedding bookings.
