Anne Gerzat
Tap a star to rate
Anne Gerzat is a wedding photographer with a photo studio in Nyon, in the canton of Vaud, who has photographed weddings since 2017. Her wedding page describes her as based in Switzerland and available worldwide, and sets out her aim in one line: "J'accompagne les futurs mariés et crée des héritages visuels qui traverseront les générations" (I accompany couples and create a visual legacy that will pass down the generations). Since 2024, the page warns, growing demand has led her to limit the number of weddings she photographs each year.
Her approach
The introduction is written for couples who want to enjoy their day rather than spend it posing. She puts it simply: you choose a wedding photographer "pour son regard, sa sensibilité et sa personnalité" (for her eye, her sensitivity and her personality), and those are the core of the future pictures. If a couple are worried about spending the whole day thinking about photos, she writes, she understands, because that is not what the day is for; she is there to record the real emotions discreetly, and that authenticity is what gives the images their strength. Her wish for her couples is that they make the most of their guests, enjoy the cocktails they planned and miss nothing of the day.
She describes her way of working as "discrète, intuitive et poétique" (discreet, intuitive and poetic). She does not want to make couples pose or put them in contorted positions to get "LA photo", because, as she says, it would not work. The photo, in her words, is caught on the fly, in a quick glance at the person you love or a burst of contagious laughter: "Elle se vit avant de se prendre" (it is lived before it is taken). To manage that, she says, she has to stay constantly alert and be a bit everywhere at once while remaining discreet, so that she can cover the whole day as a reportage.
How a booking works
The page lays out three steps.
- First contact. Couples write to check whether she is free on their date and give as much detail as they can, so she can guide them and send her information brochure. A meeting follows, "autour d'un café ou lors d'un appel vidéo" (over coffee or by video call), to talk through their wishes and start the collaboration. The video call option matters for couples living abroad.
- The wedding day. She photographs the day as a reportage and describes herself as the couple's ally throughout, so that they feel at ease and calm.
- After the wedding. The couple receive a private online gallery and are encouraged to turn the pictures into prints and albums.
The FAQ adds the practical details. Ideas are welcome: it is the couple's day, and she encourages them to send a moodboard so she can understand what they like. A contract is signed at booking, which she explains protects both sides and avoids unpleasant surprises. On timing, her answer is to book as early as possible: some dates are taken 2 years ahead, others 2 weeks ahead with some luck. She says she likes spontaneity and is happy to hear from couples at the last minute, but since she now takes a limited number of weddings, couples who want to be sure of their date should not wait. The page also announced that bookings for 2025 were open.
What couples receive
The FAQ is specific. There is no fixed number of images, and she does not limit how many she edits; the average is 500 to 900. After each wedding she sends a small preview within 48 hours, and the full gallery is ready within 3 to 6 weeks. When the gallery arrives, the couple also get access to an online shop to order prints, albums and custom presentation boxes.
Dress fittings
A newer option, presented on the page as new for 2025 and available since 2024, is the "Essayages" option: she can be booked to photograph dress-fitting days, added to a couple's package. The idea is to keep memories of the dresses tried, the laughter over the worst one, and the toasts with friends. She calls it an option never seen before in Switzerland.
Travel
Travel is answered directly. Although she is a Vaud wedding photographer based in Switzerland, she writes that she will follow couples wherever their heart takes them, even to the other side of the world, and gives Provence, Puglia and a beach in the Maldives as examples of destination weddings she would welcome. The site does not publish travel fees.
Contact and language
The contact form asks for the names, the wedding date, the planned venue and a message, and promises a reply within 5 days (with a reminder to check the spam folder). The site also shows a WhatsApp button. The site is published in French; it does not say whether she works in English, so couples who do not speak French should raise it in their first message.
Testimonials on the page are all in French. One couple call working with her one of the best decisions of their wedding. Elodie describes her as much more than a photographer: a friend, a guide, a Zen master, an entertainer for the children, a guardian angel for her grandmother and a confidante through the day, before even mentioning the pictures.
Besides weddings, her studio offers work for artists, artisans and concerts, maternity, couple, family and newborn sessions, CV portraits and a service she calls "Photothérapie".
What the site does not settle
- Prices. No prices or packages are published; the information brochure is sent on request.
- Hours of coverage. The page does not say how long a standard wedding booking lasts.
- Deposit and cancellation. A contract is mentioned, and the footer links to general terms of sale, but deposit and cancellation terms are not described on the wedding page.
- Language. English is not mentioned.
- Travel costs. Not stated.
Who it suits
Anne Gerzat suits couples marrying around Lake Geneva, in Vaud or further afield, who want a discreet reportage photographer and do not want to spend their day posing. The FAQ answers more practical questions than most, with a clear image count, a 48-hour preview and a 3-to-6-week delivery, and the video-call consultation and stated willingness to travel make her workable for couples planning from abroad. The caveats are that prices come only with the brochure, the site is in French, and she takes a limited number of weddings each year, so an early inquiry is the safe course.
