Chloé Wilhem Photographie is the studio of Chloé Wilhem, a photographer based in Fribourg who says she works anywhere her clients want her. Weddings are one of several services, alongside portraits, CV and passport photos, corporate, fashion and editorial, artist and product shoots. For wedding couples she offers two things: photography of the day itself, and the rental of photo booths for the reception through a partnership with MySelfieBooth. The site is in French.
Background
Her about page tells the story in her own words. Photography has been her passion since childhood: at 14 her mother gave her a Minolta film camera, and she knew from the first try that it would become a great passion. At 15 she bought her first reflex camera. She is self-taught and says she keeps learning and testing styles to master her camera and feed her creativity.
She kept photography as a passion at first. In 2016 she finished a bachelor's degree in marketing, business communication and English literature at the University of Fribourg. Something was missing, she writes, and in 2017 she flew to Los Angeles to join the New York Film Academy, which she describes as a well-known photography school in California. Back in Switzerland, after working for several companies for several years, she gradually set up as a freelance photographer.
The English literature degree is worth noting for couples who do not speak French. It does not prove she runs weddings in English, and the site does not say so, but it makes the question an easy one to ask.
How she works
She describes herself as smiling, cheerful, passionate and kind, and says she will put clients at ease and guide them in front of the camera. She puts weight on a relationship of sharing, communication and trust, and calls herself a "fervente défenseure de l'inclusivité", a committed advocate of inclusivity: every shoot, she writes, should be an ode to diversity and authenticity, where everyone feels valued and represented. For couples of any background, and for weddings with a mixed family and guest list, that is a clear statement of intent.
She offers to buy clients a coffee at the studio to talk through their wishes and build a concept together. A studio meeting before the wedding is a practical way for couples who live in the region to meet her before committing.
The wedding offer
The wedding page is short and emotional in tone. Its recurring line is "Les regards qui disent tout", the looks that say everything, and its opening text is about love stories written between the clicks of the shutter and the glances exchanged, which tells you where her attention goes on the day: faces and eye contact rather than set pieces. It also lists what she covers. She photographs "la préparation et mise en beauté", the getting ready with hair and makeup, then the ceremony, the group photos, atmosphere and decoration shots, and the couple photos. The portfolio heading on the page names couple photos, photos with the witnesses, family photos and the moment of the "grand oui".
The page links to a price guide ("Guide des prix") and a "Vite, les tarifs !" button, and the menu has a Tarifs page, but the wedding page itself shows no figures. The site also has a FAQ and terms and conditions (CGV), and the booking buttons read "Je réserve ma date", book my date.
The menu lists partner pages for hair and for makeup, and a page for photo albums. The site does not say on the wedding page whether hair, makeup or an album can be bundled with a wedding booking, but a couple who want those services from one contact can ask.
Photo booths for the reception
Her photo booth page is the most concrete wedding offer on the site. She works with MySelfieBooth Sàrl and has 3 photo booths for rent in Fribourg, for weddings, birthdays, company dinners and other events. The booths, she writes, are easy to transport, set up and use. Guests take selfies of 1 to 4 poses, with or without text, and the photos print on the spot; souvenirs are available digitally, in print or both. The page links to the booth packages.
Booking works through the MySelfieBooth platform. When a couple choose Fribourg as the rental point, she arranges an appointment and explains how the booth works at her studio on the day it is collected. In other words the couple, or someone they send, picks the booth up from the studio and runs it at the venue. That suits a reception in the Fribourg area; for a venue further away, transport and setup fall to the couple.
Studio and contact
The studio is at Route du Jura 23, 1700 Fribourg. It is open Monday to Friday from 09h00 to 17h30, and on Saturday and Sunday by appointment. Contact is by email at Info@chloewilhem.ch or by phone on +41 78 263 39 68, and the site has a contact page and booking buttons.
What the site does not settle
The wedding page does not show a price, a package or hours of coverage; those sit behind the price guide link. It does not say how many photos a couple receive, how they are delivered or how long editing takes. It does not state whether she travels for weddings beyond Fribourg, beyond saying she works everywhere, or how travel is charged. The site is in French and does not say whether she works in English, even though her degree included English literature. It also does not say whether a second photographer is available.
Who it suits
Chloé Wilhem Photographie suits couples marrying in or near Fribourg who want a warm, reassuring photographer, value her explicit commitment to inclusivity, and like the idea of adding a photo booth to the reception from the same contact. Couples who can meet her at the studio for a coffee beforehand will get the most from her approach.
It suits less well couples who want a published wedding price on the main page, or who need a photographer to confirm English-language service in writing before any contact. Both are quick to resolve with the price guide and a first email, and her weekday studio hours make her easy to reach.
