Daniela Kläusler Photography is the studio of Daniela Kläusler, a photographer in Interlaken who has worked professionally since 2013. She photographs weddings, families, portraits, companies and advertising, and her footer lists photography, film, web design and marketing, from "Interlaken, Bern, Schweiz, Worldwide". The site is in German. Her wedding page opens with a promise that matters to couples marrying far from home: for a wedding reportage, she writes, she will gladly travel "bis ans Ende der Welt", to the end of the world.
Who she is
Her about page is personal and specific. She was born in 1988, is happily married and the mother of Lio Ben (2017) and Laura Joline (2020), and describes herself as emotional, adventurous, open and honest. She loves nature, the seasons, the mountains and lakes, and calls it a privilege to live between two lakes; she also loves kitschy sunsets, old wood, Italy and Spain "inklusive der Sprache", running, trail running, inline skating and skiing, and plays the saxophone. She found her love of photography early and has worked as a photographer since 2013.
Her stated aim is to freeze "Gänsehaut-Momente", goosebump moments, authentically and for good.
Recognition and references
At the 2025 Braut Foto Award she won the "Pre- & After Wedding" category, bringing the title to Switzerland. The about page says an independent international jury chose photos in ten categories from many entries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and that the award, run by Braut & Bräutigam Magazin, was in its fifth year.
She also shows a making-of from a wedding shoot on the Jungfraujoch and in Wengen, produced with the Jungfraubahnen, Jungfrau Region Tourismus AG and several local suppliers. Her list of publications and clients includes Gala, Braut Magazin, Interlaken Tourismus, the Jungfrau Zeitung and a long run of Bernese businesses, and her list of models and personalities includes well-known Swiss athletes. For a couple, the practical meaning is that she is used to working at alpine locations such as the Jungfrau region.
Her wedding philosophy
The wedding page quotes Brené Brown on authenticity, then sets out what she wants to do on the day: hold emotional moments for eternity, touch people and tell stories, catch real, natural and unposed feelings, and freeze goosebump moments. It is not about perfectly staged running orders, she writes, but about the couple and their love. She urges couples not to be guided by "man muss das so" advice, to question traditions, and to celebrate however they want: small, in the garden, in a meadow, at the edge of a forest, by a lake, abroad, or on Mount Everest.
Planning the day together
Every wedding starts with a personal get-to-know-you conversation, by Skype or phone depending on distance, which suits couples planning from abroad. She lists the questions she helps couples decide: whether she is there for the preparations, whether the couple shoot happens before the ceremony or later, whether they want classic, modern, unusual or no group photos, and whether she covers the whole celebration or stops after the aperitif. Budget is discussed openly too. The page is candid about how couples should choose a photographer: price is the easiest comparison, she writes, but the real questions are whether the photographer fits, has good equipment and experience, has a plan B for bad weather, how they edit, and what the offer includes. Her closing question to couples is what those memories are worth to them.
Packages and extras
The wedding page sets out four example packages, with a final quote tailored to each couple; other durations and contents are possible. Every package includes her Wedding Guide, with tips drawn from more than 180 weddings she has photographed, a pre-wedding meeting by phone or in person (usually about 1 h), a password-protected online gallery with downloads for guests, professional equipment with the data saved twice during the wedding, car and travel costs for about 50 km from Interlaken (further kilometers by agreement), and a surprise gift.
- Silber: about 8 h on site, from getting ready and first look through the couple shoot, ceremony, aperitif and group photos; about 16 h of editing; pictures delivered within 14 days.
- Gold: about 10 h on site, adding the decoration of the evening venue; about 20 h of editing; delivery within 14 days.
- Platin: about 12 h on site, adding dinner, surprises and the cake cutting; about 24 h of editing; delivery within 14 days; photo book design included.
- Deluxe: about 14 h on site through the first dance and the party; about 28 h of editing; delivery within 2-3 weeks; travel for about 80 km from Interlaken included; photo book design, a personal slideshow set to a song of the couple's choice, and an engagement shoot included.
No prices appear next to the packages; the quote follows the first conversation.
The extras are described in more detail:
- Photo book design. She believes wedding photos belong in print or on the wall, not only on a USB stick. Design of the wedding photo book is included in Platin and Deluxe; printing costs depend on material and size. Guests can give the book as a gift, and she will issue them a voucher.
- Engagement shoot, for the invitation cards: about 45-60 minutes outdoors, edited and delivered in full resolution through an online gallery, included in Deluxe and discounted when booked with a wedding reportage.
- Styling for bride and groom: makeup and/or hair, with or without a trial, from CHF 150.
The site menu also shows a photo booth (Fotobox) among her services.
After the wedding
Couples receive an online gallery; guests get the password from the couple. Through the gallery they can view the pictures, order prints and download digital files. If couples post pictures on social media she asks them to tag her, not to change the colors with filters, and not to post pictures of people who do not want to be published. The gallery page lists a long row of couples' galleries by first name.
Supplier recommendations
A separate page recommends wedding suppliers she has worked with: bridal and menswear shops, caterers, florists, celebrants for free ceremonies, a musician, venues, hair and makeup artists, stationery, cakes, rings and a videographer. Almost all are in the canton of Bern, with a couple of venues in Lucerne. The venues include the Neuhaus zum See golf and beach hotel and the Trinkhalle am Rugen, both in Interlaken, and the Vitznauer Hof in Vitznau; she notes the page is still being built. For a couple from abroad looking for a team around Interlaken, it is a useful shortlist. Her Wedding Guide, included in every package, sits on a separate password-protected page.
What the site does not settle
The page text shows no package prices, only the styling price, so the cost comes with the quote. Travel beyond the included 50 or 80 km is agreed with the couple, so a destination wedding abroad needs its travel costs settled in writing. The site is in German and does not say whether she works in English.
Who it suits
Daniela Kläusler suits couples marrying around Interlaken, in the Jungfrau region or further afield who want emotional, unposed pictures and a photographer happy to travel. Couples who want hair, makeup and a designed photo book from the same contact will find those on offer. She suits less well couples who need English-language service confirmed or a package price before a first conversation. Her fast delivery, 14 days for most packages, is a real plus.
