Emmanuel Neuhaus is a wedding photographer with a studio in Yverdon-les-Bains, in the canton of Vaud, who travels to weddings throughout French-speaking Switzerland; his site's title names Vaud, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Geneva and Valais. He writes that he has been a photographer since the age of 20 and is also a journalist, an RP member of the Association Indépendante des Journalistes Suisses. His wedding site is unusually complete on money: two packages, priced extras, a full photo book price list, and the deposit and cancellation terms.
What He Offers
Neuhaus structures his wedding photography around two main packages, each reflecting different levels of coverage and commitment. The "Forfait Apéritif" at 1450 CHF covers the ceremony through the end of the aperitif, including couple photographs and group shots throughout the ceremony and the gathering afterward. This package suits smaller celebrations, civil ceremonies, or weddings where the photographs can stop once the aperitif ends.
The "Forfait Soirée" at 2300 CHF extends through the opening of the dancing or presentation of the cake, preserving the full arc of a traditional reception including couple portraits, group photographs, ceremony moments, and the atmosphere and animations throughout the day. This is his evening option, for couples who want the dinner and the start of the party covered.
Beyond the two core packages, he offers targeted add-ons. Photographic coverage of the bride's preparations on the wedding morning runs 500 CHF, and an extension of the aperitif package to photograph the dinner room and the decorations at the evening venue runs 400 CHF. The price page adds that for a wedding held Monday to Friday, or one that falls outside these packages, he prepares a personalized offer. For couples wanting to mark the occasion beyond the day itself, Neuhaus also offers custom photo books starting from 800 CHF, with several formats and finishes available. A basic 20-by-30-centimeter book on photo-matte paper with 30 pages costs 800 CHF. A larger 25-by-35-centimeter format on metallized paper with the same pagination costs 1080 CHF. If you want the large album plus two smaller parent copies (15 by 20 centimeters on matte paper, 10 by 13 centimeters as pocket books), that combination runs 1380 CHF. Additional parent copies can be ordered separately at 250 CHF for a single 20-by-30 copy, 300 CHF for two copies at 15 by 20 centimeters, or 400 CHF for eight pocket-sized copies.
What's Included
The packages include several key services that matter when you're planning a wedding and calculating true cost. A pre-wedding consultation is included with every booking, giving Neuhaus time to understand how you're planning the day and what your priorities are for photography. Post-processing is included, which he describes as optimizing colors and contrast; elsewhere he says photos are only retouched to balance color and contrast, favoring a natural result.
You receive the wedding photographs on a USB drive in high resolution, with unrestricted rights for personal use. That means you can share them, reprint them, and use them however you like without asking permission or paying additional fees. Neuhaus also provides password-protected online access to a web gallery, making it easy to share images with guests and family even if they're far away. Travel costs within one hour of Yverdon-les-Bains are included in the package price, but if your venue is further away, that travel would incur an additional charge. Couples planning a wedding outside the one-hour radius should clarify travel costs when booking.
The Booking Process
The date is only firmly reserved once a 50% deposit is paid, and the balance is due at the latest on the wedding day. If a couple cancel, half of the deposit is refunded if another couple then book the same date. Couples planning from abroad, where plans can shift, should weigh that clause before paying.
Contact information is provided on the site. The studio is at Rue de la Plaine 63, 1400 Yverdon-les-Bains, by appointment only, with the number 078 621 73 16. The contact block also gives Les Myosotis 16, 1441 Valeyres-sous-Montagny, with the number 024 534 65 74 and the email info@neuhaus-mariages.ch.
His Approach
Neuhaus describes his work as preserving the sensibility and creativity of your day while maintaining naturalness. He doesn't impose a heavy-handed style on your wedding; instead, he aims to photograph your celebration as it actually unfolds. His gallery is sorted into atmosphere, ceremony, couple and black-and-white images, and its captions name places around the region: Champ-Pittet, vineyards at Pointe du Grin, a civil wedding in Yverdon, a room at Vaumarcus, the Château de Grandson, a church in Neuchâtel, the park of a Grand Hôtel, the Olympic Museum and the Casino in Montreux. They also show a couple arriving by boat and a balloon release in the vineyards.
During the day itself, he describes himself as naturally calm and pleasant, moving discreetly among the guests. He tells couples they will be surprised to find unique photos of moments when they barely noticed him. He also says his experience lets him put couples at ease and guide them during the couple portraits. He works with professional equipment and aims to render the atmosphere of the day naturally and spontaneously.
Who This Serves
Neuhaus's packages and scope make him well-suited for couples planning a full-day celebration across the Suisse romande region. If you're getting married in Yverdon, Vaud more broadly, or any of the other Swiss French regions he covers, you won't need to source an out-of-region photographer. He presents himself as a professional wedding photographer of many years' standing.
The pricing structure is transparent and accessible. Couples can choose between the two main packages based on how late their celebration runs, and add-ons are clearly priced if you want to expand coverage. The inclusion of pre-consultation and post-processing means there are no surprises about what the service includes.
The photo books deserve a note of their own. He describes them as hand-bound books in the Italian tradition that open flat, so double pages read as a panorama, and everything can be chosen: cover, paper, format and layout. Three layouts are offered, called Design, Director and Reportage. The couple pick their favorite images, receive a PDF proof that can still be adjusted, and he brings the finished book to them a few days after production. He offers to show the books at a first meeting without obligation. For couples who live abroad, the hand delivery and the in-person meeting are details to discuss, since the site does not say how either works at a distance.
What the Site Leaves Open
The site is written entirely in French and does not say whether Neuhaus works in English, so couples coming from abroad should ask in their first message. It also does not give the number of images a couple receive, a delivery time, or the travel supplement beyond the one-hour radius.
