FotoMeg's "About Me" section describes a single trade: "I am a professional Family and Wedding photographer based in Zurich. I specialize in pure, timeless and fine art family photography." Family comes first in that sentence, gets the specialization claim, and gets the paragraph that follows it too, about newborns and "the most important events in your family's life." Weddings get named once and then nothing more on that page. Judged purely on the words the site chooses to describe itself, this reads as a family photographer who also, almost as an afterthought, shoots weddings.

The commercial structure underneath that page tells a different story. Follow either the top-level "Weddings" link or the "Wedding Photography" entry under Portfolio, and both land on the same page, wedding-photographer-zurich. What's waiting there is not a paragraph bolted onto a family price list. It is a self-contained 4-tier package ladder, priced and built apart from everything else the site sells.

4 tiers, and none of them shared with anything else

The wedding page runs Bronze through Platinum. Bronze is 579 CHF, discounted from 799 CHF, for up to 1.5 hours of coverage and approximately 80 photos, plus shots with family and guests and a "romantic Newly-weds Photoshoot on the wedding day." Silver moves to 889 CHF (from 1099 CHF) for up to 3 hours and around 300 or more edited photos. Gold is 1249 CHF (from 1699 CHF), 4 hours, around 400 or more photos, and adds a Premium Fine Art Photobook at 30x20 that the page values at 199 CHF. Platinum tops out at 1699 CHF (from 2449 CHF) for up to 6 hours, around 400 to 500 or more photos, the same photobook, and the option to add hours at 199 CHF each.

Every tier also carries its own discount on what the page calls the "Wedding Film Package," a videographer add-on priced separately at every level: 499 CHF (from 999 CHF) on Bronze and Silver, 599 CHF (from 1300 CHF) on Gold, 699 CHF (from 1600 CHF) on Platinum. That's worth noting because FotoMeg already sells a film add-on elsewhere on the site, the "Photos + Film Package," at 839 CHF (from 1399 CHF) for 40 photos and a 3 to 4 minute family film in 1920x1080. That one is explicitly a family product, delivered in 3 to 4 weeks, and has nothing to do with weddings. The wedding film is a different line item at a different price on a different page. Book the same business for a wedding and, later, a family shoot, and each quote comes off a separate, unconnected price sheet rather than one photographer's single rate card.

The wedding page settles delivery too: images are ready within 2 to 7 weeks after the wedding, handed over through an online gallery for download in high resolution, the same mechanism the rest of the site uses.

Family sessions run on a completely different price scale

That family side is real, and it's where most of the site's floor space goes. A studio session starts at 339 CHF for 10 retouched photos and 2 outfit changes, rising to 439 CHF for 25 photos and 5 outfit changes, chosen from a proofing gallery of 60 to 200 images with extra edited photos at 15 to 20 CHF each. An outdoor session runs from 299 CHF (down from 399 CHF) for 10 photos to 499 CHF (down from 849 CHF) for 40 photos and no proof gallery at all, the photographer picking the final set outright. The Gold and Platinum outdoor tiers each fold in a 50 percent discount on a Family Video at 299 CHF, again separate from the wedding film pricing above.

None of these general products mention a wedding anywhere on their own pages. The price-lists index, reached from its own nav item, only ever links to Studio, Outdoor, At Your Place and Boudoir; weddings never route through it. So the honest answer to what this listing was assigned to check is that FotoMeg writes about itself as a family photographer first, and prices itself, on the one page that actually matters to a wedding couple, as a dedicated wedding vendor with its own ladder, its own upsells and its own delivery terms, kept apart from everything else it sells.

The one place weddings and the mountains meet

The Swiss Alps Photoshoot page is the exception that reaches back the other way. Its own headline names "Engagement, Wedding and Family Photography & Videography in Swiss Mountains," and it prices an Interlaken and Grindelwald session at 1099 CHF (from 1400 CHF) for 100 retouched photos over roughly 2 hours, or a combined photo-and-film package at 1589 CHF (from 2200 CHF), delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. It's the only page on the site that puts the word wedding inside an alpine location product rather than the Zurich-based ladder, and it lines up with the photographer's own claim, on the homepage, to travel anywhere in Switzerland beyond a home list of Zug, Thalwil, Basel, Lucerne, Uster, Grindelwald and Lautenbrunnen, the site's own spelling. Whether a wedding day itself could run through that alpine product, or whether it's meant for a separate portrait session around the wedding, the page never spells out.

No name, no language, no travel fee

Several things a couple planning from abroad would want are simply absent. No page states what language the day itself is run in, though the site's own toggle serves English and Deutsch throughout. No page names a second shooter, a travel radius, or a travel fee for a wedding outside the standard area. No deposit, cancellation or illness-cover term is published anywhere in the wedding copy. Nobody is named: not on the About page, not on the contact page, not in the footer, which credits only "Fotomeg.ch." The equipment section does state 8 years of professional photography experience behind full-frame Nikon cameras, and that's the closest the site comes to a personal biography.

That thinness around the person and the terms is the real caveat here, not the pricing or the structure, which are both clear and specific once you find the right page. A couple used to a wedding photographer's site leading with a face, a story and a set of real wedding galleries will have to work harder here: there's a price list, a set of inclusions and a delivery window, and comparatively little else.

Clear on price, quiet on everything else

FotoMeg suits a couple who already know roughly what they want, a Zurich-area ceremony, a fixed number of hours, a photobook if they book the top tier, and would rather compare 4 transparent price points than fill in an enquiry form and wait for a quote. The published numbers, from 579 CHF for 1.5 hours up to 1699 CHF for 6, are a genuine convenience in a market where most competitors price on request. What the site doesn't offer yet is the reassurance that usually comes with a name, a stated working language and a gallery of real weddings to look through first.
