Fotostudio Fokus

Tap a star to rate

Fotostudio Fokus is a photo studio at Junkerbifangstrasse 2 in 4800 Zofingen, in the canton of Aargau, that photographs weddings alongside a large business and portrait practice. Its wedding page promises calm, natural reportage of civil, church and free ceremonies, and it publishes fixed prices for three package lengths. The studio mainly works in the Zofingen area, across Aargau and in the neighboring regions of Solothurn and Lucerne, and takes weddings elsewhere in Switzerland with travel costs added.

The approach

The wedding page sums up its style in one line: "Wir begleiten euren Tag ruhig, aufmerksam und mit Gespür für echte Momente" (we accompany your day calmly, attentively and with a feel for genuine moments). The aim, it says, is wedding photos "die nicht gestellt wirken, sondern zeigen, wie sich euer Tag angefühlt hat" (that don't look posed but show how your day felt). The studio says it pays attention to emotions, details, light, people and the many small scenes between the big program points: the nerves before the ceremony, a quick look, a hug, guests laughing.

In practice, the page describes a mix of direction and restraint. For couple photos and group pictures the photographers give clear, simple instructions, and during the rest of the day they keep in the background and photograph moments as they happen. The FAQ answers a common worry directly: couples do not need any experience in front of the camera and do not have to learn poses. The couple shoot is fitted into a deliberately chosen window in the day's schedule, with attention to light, surroundings and a relaxed mood.

Packages and what they include

The page lists three packages that it describes as commonly booked:

  • Hochzeitsreportage 4 h: CHF 1,250
  • Hochzeitsreportage 6 h: CHF 1,850
  • Hochzeitsreportage 8 h: CHF 2,450

Every package includes a personal preliminary meeting at the studio, coverage on the day, optimization of all successful photos, an online gallery with a download function in web resolution, and all optimized photos in high resolution with private usage rights on a USB stick. Travel of 20 km from Zofingen is included. Elaborate retouching is charged by effort. Shorter coverage for a civil ceremony and longer reportages are available on request.

The FAQ explains how to choose. A short booking suits a civil ceremony where the couple mainly wants the ceremony itself, some congratulations, group pictures and a brief couple shoot; the studio agrees the sensible length with each couple. Longer reportages leave room for the ceremony, congratulations, apéro, couple photos, group pictures, details and the natural moments in between. At the ceremony the photographers say they watch for emotions, gestures, glances and the atmosphere, and at the apéro and the party for encounters, conversations, laughter and hugs. The page presents the full-resolution USB delivery as a way to keep the photos safe for the long term and free to use for prints, albums and thank-you cards.

Albums are not part of the packages. The studio offers to design a wedding album or to help choose images for prints, thank-you cards and wall pictures, discussed and quoted separately once the photos have been selected.

How a booking runs

Before the wedding the studio holds a personal meeting to go through the schedule, the most important program points, special wishes, group photos, couple photos and anything else the couple cares about. The FAQ adds that this meeting covers important people and open questions, and helps the photographers understand which moments matter most so the coverage fits the day without stress.

For group photos, the studio asks couples to make a short list of the combinations they want beforehand, so the groups can be photographed efficiently without holding up the schedule. Families, witnesses and important guests can be planned in.

Depending on the package, the photographers cover the ceremony, congratulations, the apéro, couple photos, group pictures, details, or a larger part of the day. Afterward the final images are selected and optimized and delivered through the password-protected online gallery and on the USB stick in full resolution.

On timing, the FAQ says the earlier the better: popular dates in spring, summer and autumn are often taken early. It recommends an inquiry as soon as the date, place and rough schedule are known, and says the first inquiry should state the date, the place, the coverage length wanted, and whether the ceremony is civil, church or free. Inquiries go through the contact form, by phone on 062 535 73 43 or by email to office@fotostudio-fokus.ch.

Where the studio works

The FAQ explains that because the studio is based in Zofingen, it photographs many weddings in the canton of Aargau and nearby, naming Oftringen, Rothrist, Aarau, Olten, Sursee and Langenthal and the cantons of Solothurn and Lucerne. Weddings elsewhere in Switzerland are possible, with travel costs charged according to location and distance. The page does not publish the rate per kilometer beyond the included 20 km.

Beyond weddings

The studio's menu shows how broad the business is: company photography (staff and teams, company reportages, events, product and real estate photography, virtual 360-degree tours), private shoots (application photos, portraits, families and children, couples and friends, pregnancy and newborns, outdoor shoots, nude and lingerie), vouchers and video productions. For couples who want pictures together apart from the wedding day, the wedding page points to a separate couple shoot in Zofingen.

What the site leaves open

The pages do not name the photographers or say how many work at a wedding, and they give no founding year. There is no stated delivery time for the finished photos and no figure for how many images a package typically yields. The site is entirely in German and does not say whether the team works in English, so a couple from abroad should ask about the language for the preliminary meeting and for directing group photos on the day. The client reviews section is summarized in one general sentence rather than quoted testimonials.

Who it suits

Fotostudio Fokus suits a couple marrying in Aargau or the neighboring parts of Solothurn and Lucerne who want unposed reportage, clear prices and full-resolution files to keep. The package structure makes it easy to match coverage to a civil ceremony with apéro or a longer day. The caveats are the lack of named photographers and delivery times on the page, and the German-only site for couples who need English.
