Loris Bianchi's Geneva page opens with a straightforward first-person pitch: "Professional since 2017, I started photography over 10 years ago now." Read the rest of his own site and the picture gets less tidy. He runs dedicated pages for weddings in Provence, Chamonix, Megève and Annecy alongside this one, and depending which page a couple lands on, he tells them a different thing about where he actually lives. This listing works through what each of his own pages actually claims, because a couple planning a Geneva wedding from abroad will be dealing with whichever version of him answers the email.

On the Geneva page itself, in both its English and French versions, he says the same thing: "Installed near Geneva, I am based in France, I move in all Switzerland, from Lausanne to Montreux and also in France." The French version adds a detail the English one leaves out, that he also covers "Annecy et sa région," so his stated Swiss and cross-border radius runs from Lake Geneva through Lausanne and Montreux (both in canton Vaud, though he never uses that word) into the Savoy region and Annecy on the French side. His FAQ repeats the point in almost the same words: "I travel throughout Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Lausanne and in the Savoy region to tell your story." That is the honest scope for a Geneva booking: Lake Geneva and Lausanne read as core territory, with anything past Montreux or into the Alps sounding more like travel than home turf.

Where "home turf" actually is depends which page answers. His general wedding-photography page and his services page both say he is "based in Haute Savoie," the French department that runs along the Swiss border and would put him a short drive from Geneva, consistent enough with "installed near Geneva." His About page, in first person and at some length, says something else: "I'm a wedding photographer based in Provence, born in 1989 in Paris," and later, "Now settled in Provence, I have found my true fulfillment in wedding photography." Provence sits on the other side of the country from Lake Geneva. His site's own required legal notice adds another answer again, a registered address in Rennes, in Brittany, which happens to match a place his own About page says he once lived, so it reads like an old registration nobody updated rather than a live studio address. None of this is dishonest exactly. It reads like a business built one landing page at a time, each written for whichever destination it targets, with the About copy never brought back in line.

Two prices, and a pricing page that states neither

The Geneva page, in both languages, gives one number: "the pricing for my services starts at 1800€." His separate wedding-photography page gives a different one: packages start "FROM 2500 €." Both are stated plainly, not hedged, and both come straight from his own site. His main navigation also links to a page called "Formules et Tarifs," Formulas and Prices, which is where a couple would expect the real breakdown to live. It does not: fetching that page directly, rendering it with a browser, and downloading its raw HTML all turned up the same thing, a page of menu links and a footer with no pricing content on it at all. A couple gets two different floor prices depending which page they read, and the one page built to settle the question is blank. Neither figure should be treated as fixed without asking him directly, and the safer starting assumption is the higher one.

What is consistent across pages is what a booking actually includes. He delivers "minimum 400 pictures" from a wedding day, all retouched, through a password-protected web gallery, and the wedding-photography page adds a print box of "20 prints" in "20x30 cm" format bundled into every package, plus a stated 1-month turnaround for the digital files. An album or fine art prints comes with every collection, described on his About page as "a tangible keepsake, made to last" rather than a paid extra. An engagement session in Geneva, shot by the lake, runs "between 1 hour and 1h30" and delivers "about 60 retouched photographs" through the same kind of gallery.

A one-person shop, not a studio with a roster

Everything on the site is written in the first person singular. There is no team page, no second name, one contact form and two email addresses that both route back to him. His FAQ states plainly that he does not offer video, "Video is a separate profession, I prefer to focus on my work," and that he has no fixed premises: "I work mainly outside, for this reason I do not have a store or a studio." Booking runs through a sequence he lists himself: an initial contact, a meeting in person or by video, then signing a contract to hold the date. That is a different shape of business from an agency selling a catalogue of interchangeable photographers, and it means the person answering a Geneva enquiry is the same person who will show up with the camera, not a booking coordinator assigning a shooter from a roster.

His own style description backs that up with specifics rather than adjectives: "I never make my brides pose," aiming instead for documentary moments he can put in a frame, and he names fashion photography as the influence behind how he composes and uses light. His About page describes 7 years living and working in Japan from age 17, including time in the hotel industry, where he says he picked up photography almost by accident through a friend. He credits that stretch, plus earlier years in Marseille, with shaping the documentary eye he now sells as his wedding style. He also says his work has run in "several wedding blogs," though the site names none of them, so that claim stands as stated, not checked further here.

What is actually documented near Geneva

The gap in the story is proof of work. His portfolio blurb promises "weddings from all around France and Switzerland," and his blog carries 10 posts dated back to August 2024. Every one of them is set in France: Paris, Provence, Grasse, Saint-Tropez, Chamonix, Talloires, Versailles and Megève, with nothing set in Geneva, Lausanne or anywhere else in Switzerland. That does not mean he has never shot a Swiss wedding, only that nothing dated and public on his own site currently shows one. For a couple weighing him against a photographer with a documented Zurich or Geneva credit list, that is a real gap worth knowing about going in.

None of this makes him a poor choice for a Geneva wedding. It makes him a working, currently active, France-based photographer with real, checkable years of experience, a clear and specific shooting style, direct one-to-one booking, and a genuine, repeatedly stated willingness to cross the border for the day, at a price that starts somewhere between 1800€ and 2500€ depending which of his own pages a couple believes. A couple set on a photographer actually based in Geneva itself should keep looking. A couple happy to book someone who treats Lake Geneva as one of several regions he will travel to, and who wants a documentary style with a fashion-trained eye behind it, has a real option here, as long as they ask him directly to settle the number his site will not settle for them.
