SPPJ, Studio Photographie Professionnelle Jura

Tap a star to rate

SPPJ, Studio Photographie Professionnelle Jura, is a photo studio in Delémont, in the canton of Jura, that covers weddings alongside a long list of portrait, family, baby, event and business work. Its rates page does something rare among Swiss wedding photographers: every wedding package has a fixed price, a written list of what it includes, and a button that leads straight to an online booking calendar. For a couple planning from abroad who wants to know the cost before writing a single email, that is the main attraction.

The Four Wedding Packages

The rates page lists 4 wedding packages, each with its own detail page.

Mariage [Civil], CHF 499, 1 hour 30 minutes. Described as the package for a registry-office wedding and group photos. It covers photos of the ceremony, group photos and couple photos, with around 80-100 images delivered in digital HD through a cloud, each one post-processed. Every photo comes in black and white as well as color. Extra time costs CHF 200 per hour. Unlike the two larger packages, its detail page does not list a meeting with the photographer beforehand.

Mariage [Pack Express], CHF 499, 1 hour 30 minutes. Pitched at couples with a mini-budget. The same 80-100 edited images in color and black and white, but the couple chooses what the time goes to: couple photos, the ceremony, or group photos. The page is explicit about what is left out: no packaging (the photos are sent by email), no album and no meeting to discuss the wedding.

Mariage [Pack Classic], CHF 999, 4 hours. The site calls it the most popular of its wedding packages. It includes a meeting between the couple and the photographer at the SPPJ studio or by phone; 4 hours of presence with extra hours at CHF 200; couple photos; ceremony photos; the cocktail tables before the guests arrive; the dinner tables, if they are at or near the cocktail venue; candid cocktail photos; and group photos. Around 200-300 images are delivered in digital HD, all in color and black and white, in an engraved wooden box with the couple's first names containing a USB key with all the photos and 10 prints of the best moments.

Mariage [Pack Complet], CHF 2,990, 12 hours. The top package, described as including everything. The page states that the photographer present is "le patron" (the boss), from the preparations to dinner, with midnight as the latest finishing time. It covers the couple getting dressed, couple photos, the ceremony, the cocktail tables before the guests arrive, the cocktail, group photos, the dinner tables, the couple's entrance into the dinner room, the vin d'honneur (reception drink) and the dinner. Around 500-700 images are delivered in digital HD, all in color and black and white. The couple receives an engraved wooden box with an engraved wooden USB key, and a wooden album (23x16cm) with 50 pages and the studio's selection of 50 prints (15x10cm), delivered loose so the couple can stick them in and arrange the album themselves.

All 4 packages offer two options: a poster print of a chosen image at 4060cm for CHF 50, or a canvas on a wooden frame at 4060cm for CHF 120.

Conditions That Matter

Travel is included up to 70 km for the Civil, Express and Classic packages and up to 100 km for the Complet; beyond that, the studio charges CHF 1 per km. The pages do not say where the distance is measured from, though the studio is in Delémont. For the Complet package, the studio asks for a meal for the photographer at lunch and dinner. Payment is by invoice, due 30 days before the ceremony.

The cancellation policy is the same on every package page: if a wedding is canceled or postponed, the photographer must be told of any change at least 1 month ahead. Booking a wedding means accepting the studio's general terms of sale, published on the site, unless the couple and photographer agree otherwise in writing, and the online booking system requires ticking a box to confirm that acceptance. Each page also links to a preparation guide for the shoot and warns that confirmation emails can end up in spam.

Booking Online

The booking calendar lets a couple check availability and pick the date and time that suits them, filtered by team member. For a couple abroad, that removes the usual round of emails just to learn whether a date is free. The flip side is that the process is built around the packages as written; a couple who wants something different, such as a longer Civil or a split day, would need to ask, and the site's written-agreement clause is the route for it.

Beyond Weddings

The rates page shows a broad studio. It lists identity photos for adults (CHF 49) and children (CHF 39), which the page says are validated by embassies to ICAO standards; CV, LinkedIn and corporate portraits at CHF 79; a student session at CHF 119; family sessions outdoors at CHF 329 for 1 hour 30 minutes; couple, pet, beauty, boudoir, pregnancy and hen or stag party (EVJF) sessions at CHF 219 per hour; newborn, baby, breastfeeding and milk-bath sessions; baptism, communion and confirmation coverage at CHF 499; aerial photos of a house or plot for sale; product, restaurant and business photography on quote; and studio rental for photographers at CHF 80 per hour. The menu also lists photo albums, photography courses, gift vouchers, partners and testimonials, and a post-processing and retouching page that the package pages refer to. The copyright line reads 2014 - 2026.

What the Site Leaves Open

The site is in French throughout, and it does not say whether the photographer works in English or German. The package pages give no delivery time for the images. They do not say whether a second photographer is available. The Classic package's 4 hours stop well short of a full wedding day, and the page does not say how many extra hours couples usually add. The Complet package ends at midnight at the latest, so a couple planning a party that runs later should ask how the night is covered.

Who It Suits

SPPJ suits couples marrying in the Jura or nearby who want a clear price, a fixed list of deliverables and the ability to book online. The Civil and Express packages put short coverage at CHF 499, and the Complet package's printed album and engraved box give a finished product. Couples who need English-language service should confirm it first, and those marrying far from Delémont should work out the per-kilometer charge before booking.
