A Schwyz Photographer With a Cinematic Look

Stefanie Zwyssig is a photographer based in Schwyz, in central Switzerland, who photographs weddings, couples and families. Her site also offers something unusual for a photographer: live wedding painting by the artist Elin Lussmann, booked through Stefanie's own contact form. For a couple who wants both a photographic record and a painted keepsake of the day, that puts two services behind one inquiry.

Her about page describes how she came to photography. She grew up in and lives in the canton of Schwyz, surrounded by lakes and mountains, and trained as a marketing manager (HF). She writes that learning to build concepts and strategies gave her the push to build something of her own, something she would do with passion, and that is where photography came in.

She calls her style cinematic. Her pictures, she writes, do not read as pure documentation but as stills from a romantic film. She records real moments in warm light, often with a golden shimmer, and says this color grading gives the images a classic look. Her homepage adds that she focuses on "die Momente, auf die es ankommt" (the moments that matter) and aims for natural pictures in which real emotions and closeness come through. On the approach itself, the about page is reassuring rather than technical: she guides the couple, and they cannot do anything wrong.

One point to know first: the wedding page says she has no capacity left for further shoots in 2026, and invites couples planning an event or private shoot in 2027 to get in touch through the contact form.

The Photography Packages

The wedding page lists five packages by length, each with a pre-wedding meeting in person or by video call and delivery of high-resolution JPEG images through a password-protected online gallery.

  • Kurze Begleitung (short coverage): up to 2 hours, suggested for a registry office and a small aperitif. Editing included, travel within 20 km included. CHF 780.
  • Intime Momente (Classic): up to 4 hours, suggested for small celebrations, longer civil weddings and an aperitif. Editing and travel included. CHF 1,560.
  • Halber Tag (Smart): up to 6 hours, for the ceremony, aperitif and part of the celebration. Editing and travel included. CHF 2,340.
  • Ganzer Tag (Premium): up to 8 hours, for the ceremony, aperitif and part of the celebration. Editing and travel included. CHF 3,120.
  • Tag und Nacht (Deluxe): up to 12 hours, from getting ready to the party, including travel and 2 massage vouchers for the couple to recover after the long wedding. Price on request.

Extra time costs CHF 280 per hour. Only the shortest package limits included travel to 20 km; the others simply say travel costs are included.

Albums

Two album options sit on the wedding page. The first is made by the photographer: a finished album with a cloth cover, on Fuji DPII SILK photo paper with lay-flat pages and a lightfastness the page puts at over 80 years. It has 50 pages (25 spreads) in 25 × 25 cm, the couple chooses the cover color (from 5) and the lettering, and either picks around 100 photos from the online gallery or lets her propose a selection. An online preview lets the couple leaf through the album and request changes before printing. It costs CHF 840.

The second is for couples who would rather make it themselves: an empty, elegant album of 60 pages (30 spreads) with a cover the couple chooses, a pen, adhesive strips and around 100 digital photos to stick in and caption. The couple selects the photos from the online gallery. It costs CHF 390.

Live Wedding Painting

The painting page explains the idea: a wedding painter records the day not with a camera but with brush and paint, watching the day and turning emotional moments into an individual artwork on site. The artist is Elin Lussmann, and bookings go through Stefanie's contact form.

The packages:

  • Attribut: the bouquet, the rings or symbolic motifs, 50 × 70 cm, CHF 850.
  • Traumpaar: a special moment of the couple, for example the first kiss, the ring exchange or the first dance, 50 × 70 cm, CHF 1,100.
  • Family: the couple with 2-4 others from their closest circle, 50 × 70 cm, CHF 1,350.
  • Gästeportrait: quick portraits of any guests who want one, around 10 minutes per guest, each about 18 × 24 cm, CHF 650.

The artist is on site for about 5 to 8 hours during the ceremony, aperitif or dinner. The motif is agreed in advance, the canvas is high-quality artist canvas at 50 x 70 cm or as agreed, and she brings acrylic paints, brushes, an easel and floor protection. Back in the studio, a further 3-6 hours go into final details, varnish and drying. The page also advertises a 20% discount on all packages.

Booking Process

The contact page sets out the steps. A couple gets in touch by form or phone. A first meeting follows by video call or, by arrangement, in person. She then builds a program around the couple's wishes, and both sides sign a contract with terms and conditions; changes to the program are still allowed after signing. After the shoot, she sends the edited images and any booked extras within two to four weeks, and says she remains available for support afterward. The video-call option makes the process workable for a couple who lives abroad.

The wedding page also shows a short wedding magazine, with her write-up of a small civil wedding with close family, and links to Google reviews.

What the Site Leaves Open

The site is in German, and it does not say whether she works in English; a couple from abroad should ask in the first message. The Deluxe price is on request. The painting page does not state whether the painting price includes the artist's travel, or how the painting is delivered after the studio finishing.

Who She Suits

She suits couples in central Switzerland who want warm, film-like pictures and a clear hourly price, from a 2-hour registry-office booking to a 12-hour day. The painted keepsake is the distinctive part of the offer, and the guest-portrait option can double as entertainment during the aperitif. The main caveat is availability: with 2026 already full, she is an option for couples marrying in 2027 or later.
