A fine-art wedding photographer for Zurich and beyond
Véronique Posselt is a fine-art wedding photographer whose site names her area as Zurich, Aargau and the rest of Switzerland ("Zürich, Aargau & Schweizweit"). Her Zurich wedding page states she has more than 10 years of experience as a professional fine-art photographer. She describes her style as a combination of fine art, editorial aesthetics and documentary naturalness, and the images she favors are bright and full of light. Her footer also links to pages on family photography and on weddings abroad ("Heiraten im Ausland").
The page is written in German and addresses couples who are planning to marry in the Zurich region. She offers two wedding services by name: photographic coverage of full-day weddings ("Fotografische Begleitung von Ganztages-Hochzeiten") and photography of the civil wedding ("Fotografie der Zivilhochzeit"). That second option matters for couples who marry at the registry office with only a handful of guests and want good pictures of a short ceremony.
Two ways of working on the same day
Véronique explains that she links reportage with a detail-loving editorial approach. During the reportage parts of the day, she photographs as unobtrusively as possible, so that the couple and their guests will barely notice her, looking for moments that hold the love, emotion and joy of the couple and guests in as pure a form as possible.
In moments such as the couple shoot, she directs. The page says she knows how to set a couple in scene with skilled instructions, and that thanks to movement and her years of experience many unposed, lively images come out of it. Detail photos of the bouquet, the rings and similar objects are part of that editorial side, and she presents them as the pictures that round out the gallery.
Her closing paragraph about photography in general says photographs are tangible memories of the lives we have lived, the people we have loved and the places we have visited. It is a fair summary of what she sells: a documentary record with a polished finish rather than a heavily staged album.
How to book
The route in is the contact form on the page, where couples send a message and ask about their wedding date. The page promises to send all the details on request, and the contact section says to expect a reply "in der Regel innerhalb von 1-2 Arbeitstagen" (as a rule within 1 to 2 working days). Her email address, mail@veroniqueposselt.ch, is also published.
The first step she describes is a non-binding conversation ("unverbindliches Gespräch") to find out whether the personal fit is right, which she calls decisive for natural wedding photos. Several reviews mention meeting her in person before booking. One couple found her at a wedding fair, another through Instagram, another because she had photographed a friends' wedding. The site links to AGB (terms and conditions) and to a client gallery area ("Kundengalerien"), but the page does not describe how or when images are delivered.
Weddings she has photographed
The blog and portfolio on the page name specific weddings: a civil ceremony at the Zunfthaus zur Waag in Zurich, a civil ceremony at the Stadthaus Zurich, a wedding at the Waldmannsburg in Dübendorf, a civil wedding at Schloss Andelfingen, a church wedding in Zurich, and a wedding on the Isole di Brissago in Ticino. Reviews add a civil ceremony at Villa Boveri and one in Baden, and one couple describes how she picked good spots around the Stadthaus for their photos after a simple registry office wedding.
Separately, the page carries a list headed "Die besten Locations in Zürich" (the best locations in Zurich), with headings for apéro and banquet, free ceremonies, civil weddings and church weddings. It names places such as Turmgut and Erlengut in Erlenbach, Restaurant Buech in Herrliberg, Seehotel Sonne in Küsnacht, Moschti in Stäfa, the Baur au Lac, The Dolder Grand, Villa Lindengut in Winterthur, Villa Meier-Severini, Kloster Fahr and Schloss Andelfingen, alongside the Stadthaus and the Zunfthaus zur Waag for civil ceremonies and churches from the Frauenmünster to the St.-Anna-Kapelle at Kloster Fahr. This is a local recommendation list rather than a record of her own weddings, but it is useful to a couple from abroad who does not yet know the Zurich venue scene.
The page also points to the Zurich civil registry office's website for documents and process. It notes, in her words, that a civil wedding can in principle be held at any location offered by civil registry offices across Switzerland, and that couples are not obliged to marry in their home municipality. For the rules that apply to a foreign couple, the registry office is the place to ask.
What couples say
The page carries a long run of reviews, and they return to the same points: she is warm and calm, the couples felt comfortable in front of the camera, and she gave useful tips during the preparations. One couple writes that on the day they did not notice her at all, and that she saw at once where each picture was best taken. Another says posing never felt awkward. One review is in English, from a couple she photographed at their civil wedding, who call her "extremely professional, helpful and energetic throughout the preparation and on the day of wedding."
What the site does not settle
The page publishes no prices and no packages beyond the two service names, so cost has to come from an inquiry. It does not say how many images a couple receives, how long delivery takes, how many hours full-day coverage runs, whether a second photographer is available, or whether she offers video. Travel charges for weddings outside Zurich and Aargau are not mentioned either.
On language: the page is in German, and the single English review shows she has worked with an English-speaking couple, but the page does not state which languages she works in. An English-speaking couple should say so in the first message and ask.
Who it suits
Véronique Posselt suits couples marrying in or around Zurich who want natural, light-filled photos with a strong eye for detail, and who like a photographer who steps back during the ceremony and gives clear direction for portraits. The civil-wedding-only option makes her a good fit for couples holding a small registry office ceremony in Zurich, whether as the whole wedding or ahead of a bigger celebration elsewhere. Couples who need all the terms, prices and deliverables in writing before making contact will have to ask for them, since the page leaves them to the conversation.
