VR Photography Sàrl is the studio of Virginie and Raphaël Nobs, a pair of photographers working from Studio 26 in Moutier. Their home page says they are based in the Jura and cover all of Switzerland, and the footer names the Jura bernois, Neuchâtel, Vaud, Fribourg and Valais as regions they serve. The wedding page puts their experience in two figures: professional photographers for more than 13 years, and more than 250 weddings behind them. Weddings are one part of a broad practice that also includes pregnancy, newborn, family and portrait sessions.
The couple behind the camera
The "À propos" section on the home page tells a short story. Virginie and Raphaël describe themselves as two people who love photographing moments of life, whose paths crossed and whose shared passion grew from there. Over the years their experience grew in weddings in particular, and also in newborn, pregnancy and family photography, a field in which the page says Virginie has built up particular expertise. At some point they took the leap of leaving their respective careers to work full-time in photography.
They name their guiding words as rigor, persistence and passion, and describe treating every project as a piece of craftsmanship. The page also says they are Sigma ambassadors and use lenses from Sigma's Art and Sports ranges every day.
The wedding offer
The wedding page opens with the line "Votre mariage est un jour unique, rempli d'émotions intenses et de moments précieux" (your wedding is a unique day, full of intense emotions and precious moments). They promise to record every smile, every knowing look and every meaningful detail, and describe their approach as discreet and authentic.
The page then lists its strengths under "Nos points forts". Experience is the 13 years and 250 weddings already mentioned. Equipment is professional, high-end gear meant to deliver consistent quality in all conditions. Backup: the couple's files are stored with care, and the studio's server and annual archives are meant to keep them safe for good. Professionalism means photography has been their full-time trade for many years. Authenticity is described as a frank and natural approach while staying open to the couple's wishes. Processing is simple, natural and timeless retouching that keeps each photo true to its original look without altering emotions or details.
What couples receive
The page is specific about the finished product, with the caveat that it depends on the package chosen. Couples receive a personalized USB key holding all their retouched photos, and an A3-format album. Prints and enlargements to measure can be ordered on top.
Depending on the package, the studio also provides an online gallery. Guests can view and download the photos they appear in, and access is protected by a link and a password that the couple shares. The page notes that many couples print these details on their thank-you cards, a practical touch for a wedding where guests fly home the next day and would otherwise wait for photos to be forwarded.
Meeting before the day
The studio likes to meet each couple before the wedding for a relaxed first conversation over coffee at the studio in Moutier. The page describes this as the moment to get to know each other, talk through the wedding and pass on advice on organizing the day. Out of respect for their couples' privacy, they share few wedding images online, so the meeting is also where they show a large-format album from a recent wedding. They say that over the years they have learned the flow of a wedding day, the small traps to avoid and the tricks that make a difference, and that they are happy to share them.
For a couple living abroad, a meeting in Moutier is not always possible. The page offers contact "par message, téléphone ou en personne" (by message, phone or in person), so a first talk by phone is an option the site itself names.
The studio and how to reach it
Studio 26 is at Rue du Viaduc 26, 2740 Moutier, with the entrance behind the building. The access notes on the studio page say it is a 10-minute walk from Moutier station, the "Place du Marché" bus stop is 80 meters from the entrance, and a large parking area lies 50 meters away at the Place du Marché by the Catholic church. The space covers 260 square meters in total and has a cyclorama 5 meters by 6 meters and 4.30 meters high, used for studio shoots of all kinds and also rented out by the day to other photographers.
The studio page names partners too: Carlyne Coiffure for hair on request, Rayonne by Cora for makeup (notably on "Just for Me" sessions), and Fenaison Bleue, a lavender field in the Jura where they shoot outdoor sessions.
Contact
The home page lists the email address info@vrphotography.ch and a mobile number each for Virginie (076 409 50 71) and Raphaël (079 580 34 37), along with the studio address. The wedding page has its own form for asking about rates or arranging a meeting.
What the site leaves open
The wedding page does not state prices. It links to more information on the different packages, and asks couples to get in touch to learn the rates, so the package contents and prices have to be requested. The site does not say how many hours a wedding package covers, whether both photographers attend every wedding, how travel outside the Jura region is charged, or how long delivery takes.
The site is in French, and it does not say whether the couple works in English or German. A couple planning from abroad should write in the language they need and ask.
Who it suits
VR Photography suits couples marrying in the Jura, the Bernese Jura, Neuchâtel or elsewhere in French-speaking Switzerland who want experienced, natural wedding photography and a tangible result, a USB key and an A3 album rather than a download link alone. The guest gallery is a real help for weddings with guests from far away. Couples who want to see a full portfolio online before making contact may find the site sparse, by design: the studio keeps most wedding images private and shows them at the first meeting.
