Yvo Greutert is a Swiss wedding photographer and videographer who documents weddings throughout the country with a focus on recording genuine emotion and authentic moments. His approach is documentary-style, meaning he observes and records the important moments of your wedding day naturally rather than directing posed shots, and this philosophy shapes every aspect of his service. He writes that he gives the couple occasional advice only during the couple shoot, and that for the rest of the day he asks only that they be themselves.

Greutert's photographic style centers on natural light. He prefers to shoot whenever possible in ambient light to make photos feel warmer, more authentic and more visually interesting. During pair shoots, he favors backlit photography to give images a romantic and timeless quality. His editing approach emphasizes subtle colors and strong contrasts, aiming for a slight vintage feel combined with elegance. All photos are edited by Greutert himself. His videography follows the same natural approach, filmed with professional Sony mirrorless cameras and edited with special effects and slow-motion sequences. He also offers drone footage of the wedding location where possible, shot with a DJI Mavic Mini 4 PRO, and can create either a 2-3 minute highlight film or a longer 5-7 minute version with aerial shots. The drone work adds another perspective to your day, showing the landscape and the scale of your venue from above.

His wedding packages range from 8 to 12 hours of coverage, scaled to different needs and budgets. The 8-hour package (CHF 3180) includes 8 hours of photography, 250 to 400 edited high-resolution images, an online gallery, and unlimited use of your wedding photos, plus travel costs throughout Switzerland. The site calls it ideal for couples who want focused coverage around the ceremony, couple photos and party. The 10-hour package (CHF 3590) extends coverage to 10 hours and 300 to 500 images; the site describes it as leaving time, from the ceremony through the couple photos to the party, for the important and spontaneous moments. The 12-hour package with video (CHF 4190) adds a film of the ceremony with professional sound recording, with the couple's own voices and words, and 350 to 600 images. The package he calls his most popular ("Mein beliebtestes Paket"), the All-In package (CHF 5490), combines 12 hours of photography, a 2-3 minute highlight video, a photo box with printer, 350 to 600 images, an online gallery, and travel included. All packages include a personal pre-wedding consultation where you can discuss your vision, your timeline and any specific moments that matter most to you.

Additional services are available as add-ons. The photo box rental (CHF 480) includes a printer for on-the-spot prints, giving guests an interactive keepsake during the party. Video upgrades are available separately for couples who want to add film to a photo-only package: a 2-3 minute highlight film costs CHF 1290, while a 5-7 minute film with drone footage is CHF 1690. Wedding albums start from CHF 880 and give your photos a tangible form for display and sharing. A film of the complete ceremony can also be added for CHF 350. A standalone couple shoot of 1 hour at 1 location costs CHF 350 and yields 15-20 edited high-resolution photos.

The video page answers several practical questions. Yvo shoots photos and video himself on the same day: his FAQ says he uses two special cameras and switches constantly between video and stills without the couple noticing. Videos are currently offered only together with a photo reportage, at the price of the reportage plus the video. He argues that less is more in a wedding film and aims for a short, fast-cut film that a couple will want to watch several times a year; for weddings of 12 hours or longer with many program points, the page says a longer film can be made for a surcharge.

A practical note for couples booking: his site emphasizes that Friday weddings currently qualify for special rates, though visitors need to contact him directly to learn the terms. Greutert has also created dedicated regional pages for several Swiss areas including Zurich, Lucerne, Basel, Bern and Eastern Switzerland, which include venue recommendations and wedding fair information. Outside Switzerland he works mainly in Barcelona, where he says he photographs weddings chiefly between October and April.

His FAQ says he photographs weddings "in der ganzen Schweiz" (throughout Switzerland), and every package lists travel costs across Switzerland as included. The site is written in German, but its structured contact data lists German and English as available languages, and its keywords name English and Spanish. The site does not publish cancellation terms or a deposit. Contact is via a web form, email to yvogreutert@proton.me, or WhatsApp. His online portfolio displays completed wedding reports and video examples, and the site includes testimonials from past couples praising his ability to convey emotion and his unobtrusive presence throughout the day.

Every package includes an online gallery, and the 8-hour package spells out unrestricted use of the wedding photos. Because he edits all photos himself, the person who was at the wedding also decides how the pictures look. One testimonial on the video page comes from a couple who were at first unsure whether a video was worth it; they write that Yvo "hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen" (more than exceeded our expectations) and caught, in just under 4 minutes, emotions and moments they had partly not noticed themselves.

For a couple from abroad, Greutert is a good fit if you want candid, emotion-focused photography with video included from the same photographer, and if you're comfortable with the documentary style of minimal direction. Travel costs included anywhere in Switzerland make the price predictable wherever the venue is. The combination of photos, video and a photo box (in the All-In package) also means your guests can participate in preserving memories in real-time, adding an interactive social element to your celebration. The main caveat is availability: the site offers no published calendar, so the date has to be asked first. Couples marrying on a Friday should ask about the special conditions he currently offers.
