Rosie the Printer is a letterpress studio in Ittigen near Bern, run by Pierina and Nik, who restored an almost hundred-year-old press named Rosie. They print and emboss your design deep into the paper for the tactile impression that defines letterpress, working from your ideas, sketches or finished print files. For extra shine they also offer hot foil stamping, and they can do die-cutting on request.
The studio prints wedding invitations along with birth announcements, business cards, greeting and thank-you cards, and even beer mats. It uses high-quality cotton or recycled paper in various weights and colours, up to 900gsm, and fine details print best with this method, so simpler designs tend to suit it. Samples and sample sets can be ordered or seen in person. There is also a separate line of letterpress notebooks, the Bärnerbüechli. The work is in German.
