Käfertraum is based in Dielsdorf, north of Zurich, and the whole service runs on a single car: a restored VW Käfer Cabriolet 1500 from 1969 with around 50 horsepower. It goes out with a driver rather than as a self-drive, and the owners describe accompanying couples personally on the day.
Couples are invited to come and see the car beforehand and take a short ride to get a feel for it. The open top suits photos as much as the journey itself, and the same car is offered for birthdays and company events as well as weddings, with gift vouchers available. They cover Zurich, Aargau, Schaffhausen, and Thurgau, and the site is in German and English.
