Lugano by Taxi

Lugano by Taxi is a taxi and chauffeur service in the Lugano area, run by G.S. Commerce and Services from Via delle Scuole 3 in Paradiso. Its events page offers chauffeured cars for weddings, alongside airport transfers, tourist tours and business driving, and it is published in English as well as Italian. For a couple marrying in Ticino with guests flying into the Milan airports, it covers both the wedding car and the guest transfers.
The wedding offer
The page asks "Looking for a chauffeured car for your Wedding?" and answers that with Lugano by Taxi "you can arrive in style to your wedding or exclusive event," through a chauffeured car rental service meant "to ensure you have a unique and worry-free experience." The FAQ goes further. It describes "an exclusive chauffeured car rental service for weddings in Lugano and surrounding areas," and says that whether you want an elegant car for the day or "want to impress your guests with a vintage car or supercar," the company will meet your needs. It calls the service "fully customizable" and says the driver will be on hand to escort you and your guests throughout.
That mention of vintage cars and supercars is worth following up, because the fleet named on this page is modern Mercedes. The page does not list which classic or sports cars are available or how they are sourced, so ask what they can offer for your date.
The cars
The page names the regular fleet as Mercedes E, S and V-Class: "For weddings, events or shopping, travel in style in Mercedes E, S and V." It lists the equipment in its corporate cars as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, privacy glass, leather interior and automatic transmission, with water and tissues on board and phone chargers available.
Capacity is stated in the FAQ: a standard cab takes up to 4 passengers, and for larger groups or bulky luggage the company recommends a minivan, which on this page means the Mercedes V-Class. The FAQ adds that cabs carry standard-size luggage, and that if you are traveling with a lot of luggage or bulky items you should say so when booking, so they can send a suitable vehicle such as a minivan. That matters for guests arriving with suitcases and garment bags. The split works well for a wedding: a Mercedes S-Class for the couple, and one or more V-Class minivans for family or guests moving between a hotel, the ceremony and the reception.
Guests, airports and languages
This is where the service is strongest for a destination wedding. The FAQ answers the language question directly: "Yes, our chauffeurs speak English and are fully capable of communicating with international customers." The site itself has English and Italian versions.
The company says it specializes in three airport routes, Lugano to Malpensa, Lugano to Linate and Lugano to Bergamo Orio al Serio, and its menu also lists runs to Milan and to Milan Central Station. For airport pickups it offers a greeting service: a driver waits on arrival with a sign showing your name or, for privacy, a company name. It says it monitors flights and trains in real time, and that there are "no extra costs, even with delays." When booking an airport run, the FAQ asks for the date and time of pickup, the pickup and drop-off address, the number of passengers and luggage, and flight details for arrivals.
The page also offers tourist tours with drivers it calls "expert connoisseurs of the area," naming Menaggio, Como, Ascona and Brissago, and each tour is customizable. For guests staying a few days around the wedding, that is a ready-made day out. One testimonial, from Gustavo B., mentions booking the company several times to take guests to the mountains in St. Moritz.
Drivers are available 24/7 in Lugano, Milan and the surrounding areas, the page says. Asked which areas it covers, the FAQ says it serves a wide area, urban and suburban, and invites you to phone for details.
Booking, prices and payment
You can book by phone, by email at info@luganointaxi.ch, through the online form, or by WhatsApp to the same mobile number. The wedding section carries a "Request a quote" button, so wedding prices are quoted per job rather than shown on this page. The site's menu has a separate taxi fares page, which is worth checking for the airport routes. The promise repeated across the page is "Fixed prices. Zero surprises," and it says that after a wedding or tour, "the price is fixed and transparent."
Payment is by credit card, debit card or mobile payment link; the FAQ says all cabs carry a card terminal.
What the page leaves open
The page gives no wedding prices, no minimum booking time and no deposit or cancellation terms. It does not say whether the cars can be decorated with flowers or ribbons. The vintage cars and supercars mentioned in the FAQ are not described anywhere on the page. And while the company says it serves a wide area, it does not say whether it will drive to a wedding elsewhere in Ticino or across the border beyond the routes it names; the St. Moritz testimonial shows the company has driven guests that far, but ask for a quote.
What customers say
The testimonials on the page come mostly from regular users rather than wedding couples. Alessandra Bernardini calls the staff "Serious, punctual and professional" and writes "Value for money definitely very good." Claudio Casati praises "Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good prices." Leonardo P. mentions "Very clean cars and impeccable driving!"
Who it suits
Lugano by Taxi suits a couple marrying in or around Lugano who needs more than one car: an elegant ride for the two of them, minivans for guests, and reliable transfers from Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo for friends flying in. English-speaking drivers, name-sign pickups, flight tracking and fixed prices take a lot of strain off guests who do not speak Italian.
It is less of a fit for a couple who wants a classic wedding car as the centerpiece, since the page promises vintage cars without showing any. For everything else in a Ticino wedding's transport plan, it is a practical option.
