SpeedCars4Rent is a small supercar rental business at Papiermühleweg 7 in 7302 Landquart. It rents out exactly 4 cars: a McLaren 600LT Spider, a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder, an Audi R8 Spyder GT and a Lotus Elise S3 Cup 250. It is not a wedding car service in the classic sense, with ribbons, a chauffeur and a vintage limousine. It is a place to rent a loud, fast sports car, and the site names the wedding as one of the occasions it has in mind. For a couple who want to leave the ceremony in a Lamborghini rather than a Rolls-Royce, it has the useful habit of showing its starting prices on the home page.

The four cars

The home page shows each car with a gallery, a one-line description and a starting price in francs:

  • McLaren 600LT Spider, described as a "Rennwagen mit Strassenzulassung" (a racing car with road registration), from CHF 445
  • Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder, "Der Stier unter den Supersportlern" (the bull among supercars), from CHF 395
  • Audi R8 Spyder GT, a limited edition that the page numbers "Nr 004 von 333 weltweit" (number 004 of 333 worldwide), from CHF 295
  • Lotus Elise S3 Cup 250, called a "GoKart mit Strassenzulassung" (a go-kart with road registration), from CHF 395

These are sports cars, and the site gives no seat counts or luggage space, which matters for a wedding dress; ask before choosing. The Audi is the cheapest starting point and the McLaren the most expensive. Each model has its own price page in the menu, and the site says every car has its own particular character and that the team will advise on the best choice.

The galleries are generous: each of the 4 cars comes with more than a dozen photos, which gives a fair idea of color, interior and stance before you inquire. For wedding photographs that is more useful than it sounds, since a couple can check whether a car's color sits well with the flowers and outfits they have planned before committing to it.

The wedding angle

The wedding appears on the home page in the gift section. Under the heading "Ein besonderes Geschenk" (a special gift), the first item is "Zum Ja-Wort ein exklusives Fahrzeug" (an exclusive car for the I do), followed by a fast birthday party, a different kind of Mother's or Father's Day, and celebrating a promotion. The page also lists the reasons to rent: pure driving pleasure, the sound of a supercar, adrenaline from the acceleration, the feel of a go-kart on the road, and use as an eye-catcher at an event or exhibition.

That framing points to two uses for a wedding. The couple can rent a car for their own getaway or photo session, or friends and family can give the couple a voucher, which the site sells through a "Gutschein bestellen" (order a voucher) link. A voucher is a practical present for a couple who live abroad and would come back to use it later, though the site does not state how long vouchers are valid.

The people behind it

The team page greets visitors with "Alegra und Grüezi!" and tells a short founding story: the owners are car fans themselves, bought a few exotic cars over the years, and set up the business to share them. It names 4 people, all of whom handle vehicle handovers:

  • Andreas Wiedenmeyer, management
  • Claudio Bässler, advice
  • Marco Berthel, advice
  • Chantal Oettli, office and advertising

The philosophy is summed up in three points: the customer is at the center, the team wants to find rental conditions that suit each customer, and inquiries are normally answered within 24 hours ("innert 24h").

Contact and booking

Booking starts with an inquiry. The site has a general inquiry form, a contact page, and says it can be reached by phone, WhatsApp and email. The phone number is +41 (77) 524 16 42, and the stated hours are Monday to Friday from 7 to 22 and Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 22. The site links to its general terms (AGBs) and a legal notice. Everything visible on these pages is in German, and the site says nothing about English, so a couple writing from abroad should expect to confirm details in writing and perhaps in German.

What the site does not settle

The prices carry the word "Ab" (from) and no unit. The site does not say on these pages whether the amount is per day, per half day or per a set number of hours, how many kilometers are included, or what fuel, cleaning or excess kilometers cost. Insurance, the deposit, the minimum driver age and license rules and cancellation terms are not described on the home or team pages; read the linked AGBs before booking. For a couple from abroad, the question of whether a foreign license is accepted belongs at the top of the list.

The site does not mention a chauffeur. Its team lists "Fahrzeugübergaben" (vehicle handovers) among its jobs and the home page sells driving pleasure, so ask whether a driver can be provided if neither of you wants to take the wheel in wedding clothes. Decorations are not mentioned either, so ask before planning ribbons or flowers on the car. Delivery to a venue is not described; the site gives only its Landquart address.

There are no customer reviews or photos of past weddings on these pages. The images are credited to a photography studio, not to clients.

Who it suits

SpeedCars4Rent suits a couple, or a group of friends planning a gift, who want a supercar rather than a vintage car and are comfortable driving it themselves. The published starting prices make it easy to compare the 4 cars, the small named team makes it clear who you are dealing with, and the voucher option works well as a wedding present.

It suits less well a couple who need a chauffeur, a car with room for a large dress or a witness, decorations, or delivery to a venue far from Landquart. It is also not a solution for moving guests. Treat it as the car for the exit or the photo shoot, not for the day's logistics.
