BLU Restaurant & Lounge

BLU Restaurant & Lounge is a restaurant, lounge and sushi bar at Via Respini 9, 6600 Locarno, overlooking Lake Maggiore. Its events page presents it as "a versatile and contemporary venue overlooking Lake Maggiore", and lists weddings among the private events it hosts. The Restaurant Behind the Events

BLU is a working restaurant every day of the week. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday from 11:00 to 00:00, with the kitchen serving from 12:00 to 13:45 and from 18:30 to 21:45. A second concept, Sushi & Natural, runs on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 18:30 to 22:00, and on Friday and Saturday from 18:30 to 23:00. The Italian menu page gives a good sense of the kitchen. There is a raw bar (a single scampo at CHF 12.00, a red prawn at CHF 14.00, a purple prawn at CHF 16.00, and a BLU tasting of 3 pieces at CHF 38.00), salads from CHF 9.90, pasta and risotto such as the Risotto Polpo, Zafferano e 'Nduja, a Parmigiana BLU, and main courses up to CHF 43.50, including Tagliata di Vitello and Polpo Arrostito. Those are restaurant prices, not event prices, but they give a couple a realistic idea of the price level. The events page itself publishes no wedding menus or per-person rates.

The Setting

The events page stresses light and the lake: light-filled rooms and a terrace overlooking the water. The terrace is the main draw for an aperitivo.
