A Private Bridal Boutique in Appenzell Ausserrhoden
Dein Glücksmoment is a wedding dress boutique in Speicher, in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, which its own site places "nur wenige Minuten von St. Gallen" (only a few minutes from St. Gallen). It is run by its owner, Corina Rutz, and trades as Dein Glücksmoment GmbH. The shop sells both secondhand and new wedding dresses, and it also takes brides' used gowns on consignment, so a dress bought here once may well have been worn at another wedding in eastern Switzerland.
The defining feature is the private appointment. During a fitting the boutique is reserved exclusively for the bride and the people she brings, rather than shared with other customers on a busy Saturday. Corina describes each appointment as a matter close to her heart and writes that the boutique belongs entirely to the bride and her loved ones for the length of the fitting. She promises honest advice without pressure, and says she chooses every dress herself with an eye for detail, because she wants a bride to find her own dress rather than just any dress. For a bride who finds large bridal salons overwhelming, or who is shopping in a language that is not her own, a quiet room and one consultant can make the day far easier.
The Secondhand Dress Selection
Secondhand dresses are the part of the offer that sets this shop apart. The secondhand page gives prices of 900 to 1400 Swiss francs, which it says is roughly 50 percent of the original retail price; the general dress overview page quotes a slightly narrower band of 900 to 1300 francs. Every dress is chosen personally by Corina, and the site says each one is in flawless condition. The page lists the gowns as coming from selected European designers.
The practical advantage is timing. The secondhand dresses are available immediately and can be taken home straight after the fitting. The site puts it plainly: no waiting and no delivery times. For a couple planning a wedding from abroad, or anyone on a short timeline, that removes the months-long order window that comes with a new designer gown. The trade-off is that the choice is limited to the sizes and styles currently in stock, and any fitting changes still have to be arranged afterward.
Selling Your Own Dress on Consignment
Brides who already own a gown can offer it for resale. The consignment page lists the conditions: the dress should be no older than 3 years so it matches current bridal trends, worn once or never worn, in flawless condition without damage, stains or heavy signs of wear, and professionally cleaned. It must suit brides at least 168 centimeters tall, and the seller needs the original purchase receipt or a bank record so the resale price can be set transparently.
The commercial terms are spelled out. Corina handles all advertising and the whole sales process. After a successful sale the seller receives 60 percent of the sale price and 40 percent goes to the boutique for the service. The sale price is agreed jointly, at around 50 percent of the new price. The seller chooses a contract length of 12 or 18 months, and the page states there are no rental or marketing costs. Interested sellers fill in an inquiry form, and Corina then gets in touch personally to discuss the next steps.
New Dresses and Named Labels
For new gowns the site names three labels. Dama Couture is presented as expressive bridal wear with feminine silhouettes, lace, modern cuts and distinctive accents. Anna Sposa is described as feminine cuts and delicate fabrics, in romantic, elegant or modern looks. Jarice ranges from flowing boho styles to a cleaner modern line, with deep back necklines and fine lace, and the page notes that Jarice also has a plus-size collection. Further labels are stocked beyond these three.
The new-dress page also says the range covers dresses for a free ceremony, a church wedding or a civil wedding, and dresses for brides who are expecting. That last point is worth knowing, since maternity bridal gowns are not stocked everywhere.
Fittings, Alterations and Accessories
Alterations are not done in-house. Corina works with a hand-picked group of tailoring ateliers that fit the dress to the bride, and the site says specialists there handle difficult cuts and changes. Beyond ordinary adjustments, the bride is advised in person by the tailor at the pinning appointment. The boutique tells brides where these ateliers are during the fitting, rather than publishing the addresses.
To finish the outfit, the shop sells a selection of accessories and a handmade jewelry line. The reviews on the homepage, all in German, mention a warm and stress-free atmosphere, a lovingly decorated room, competent and sensitive advice, and never feeling under pressure.
Access and Contact
The boutique is at Hohrüti 19, 9042 Speicher AR. The site publishes a phone number (078 765 03 01) and an email address (info@dein-gluecksmoment.ch), and appointments are booked through the site's booking page. The site does not describe how to reach the shop by public transport or whether there is parking, so a visitor without a car should ask about access when booking.
What the Site Does Not Settle
The site publishes no opening hours, since fittings run by appointment. It is written entirely in German and does not say whether consultations can be held in English, which is the first thing an international bride should ask. It publishes no prices for the new dresses, only for the secondhand stock. It does not state a deposit, a fee for the fitting appointment or a cancellation rule; the terms and conditions are linked from the footer but not quoted on the pages. It also does not say whether the new gowns are sold from stock or ordered to size, or how long an order takes.
Who It Suits
Dein Glücksmoment suits brides in eastern Switzerland and visitors staying around St. Gallen who want an unhurried, private fitting and who like the idea of a secondhand gown at about half its original price. The take-home-the-same-day secondhand stock is a real help for a bride with little time before the wedding. A bride who wants a very wide selection across many labels will find the range deliberately small, and anyone who needs to work in English should confirm that before traveling to Speicher.
