Mawulinam is a bridal showroom at 26, rue Adrien Lachenal in Geneva that receives brides by appointment only. Its site describes it as offering Swiss brides a demanding selection of creations from the most prestigious houses as well as emerging talents, and its title presents it as a house for made-to-measure wedding dresses and suits (Robes & Costumes de Mariage Sur Mesure). Besides wedding dresses, it sells men's wedding suits, children's outfits, cocktail and bridesmaid dresses, and accessories. It is run by its founder, Élizabeth, and the site says the team has more than 20 years of experience in the wedding world. The site is written in French.

The Showroom and the Appointment

The homepage's promise is a fitting "comme vous ne l'avez jamais imaginé" (like you have never imagined). Brides are received in a private showroom in Geneva, which the site says is set aside for them to ensure comfort and discretion. It describes each appointment as an exclusive interlude: fittings in calm surroundings, natural light, space for companions, and the chance to linger over a refreshment. Each fitting is guided step by step so the outfit suits the bride's figure and personality.

The appointment itself is free. The wedding dress page says: "Nos rendez-vous sont gratuits et sur mesure" (our appointments are free and tailored to you). The homepage explains that the shop works only by appointment so that a bride has time to discover the models, explore several styles and get advice suited to her wishes and her body shape. It asks brides to bring their inspirations, to come with the people whose opinion matters, and to wear light or skin-toned underwear.

The site describes the fitting as above all a meeting with Élizabeth, who brings her experience and her listening to each client to find the outfit that makes her heart beat faster. The approach, as the page puts it, is to take time, try, adjust and dream until the right dress is found.

The Wedding Dresses

The wedding dress page opens with "Des créations pensées pour toutes les silhouettes" (designs conceived for every figure) and says the shop has brought together creations from the great European houses and from young talents, chosen for their quality and their ability to suit every body shape. It does not name the houses or designers.

It then makes a point about regional taste in Switzerland: Geneva for refined sobriety, Zurich for timeless elegance, and Lausanne or Lugano for a more creative touch, and says its models answer that diversity. The collection is organized by style, each with its own page: mermaid (sirène), A-line (trapèze), princess, minimalist, plus-size (grande taille), sheath (fourreau), fluid, lace, short, jumpsuit (combinaison), bohemian and haute couture. The plus-size and jumpsuit lines are worth noting for brides who struggle to find either. The page's own list of dream styles runs from the timeless glamour of a princess dress and the light A-line to the mermaid silhouette and bohemian, classic or short dresses.

The page's own statement of intent reads: "En Suisse, on ne transige pas avec la précision : un ourlet doit tomber juste, une manche doit suivre le mouvement naturel du bras, une dentelle doit respirer à la lumière" (in Switzerland we do not compromise on precision: a hem must fall exactly right, a sleeve must follow the natural movement of the arm, lace must breathe in the light). It says this care goes into every fitting so that the dress "ne se contente pas de vous habiller, mais qu'elle devienne une seconde peau" (does not just dress you, but becomes a second skin).

The menu includes a page on alterations and finishing (Retouches et finitions d'exception), so fitting work is part of the offer, although the pages do not describe how it works or what it costs.

For the Whole Wedding Party

Mawulinam dresses more than the bride. The homepage lists collections of wedding dresses, men's suits, children's wear, cocktail dresses for bridesmaids and the wedding party, and accessories, all said to be chosen to suit every figure and style. For a couple who want the groom, the bridesmaids and the flower girls dressed in one place, that is a practical advantage. The site also runs an advice section with articles meant to guide couples from preparation to the day itself.

What Brides Say

The homepage carries three reviews. Elodie, in July 2025, thanks Élizabeth for helping her find the perfect dress, praises the many dresses in the shop and writes that "Élizabeth est de bon conseil et vous mettra tout de suite à l'aise" (Élizabeth gives good advice and puts you at ease straight away). Océane, also in July 2025, writes that her support from start to finish showed great gentleness, kindness and attentiveness. Alissa N., in June 2024, writes that all the dresses are of high quality "pour des prix autour de 2000 euros" (for prices around 2000 euros) and pleasant to wear all day, and calls Élizabeth patient and kind. That review is the only price indication on the site.

Contact

Appointments are requested through the booking link on every page (Prendre RDV). The phone number is +41 78 336 03 08 and the email is serviceclient@mawulinam.ch. The shop is also on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

What the Site Does Not Settle

The site publishes no prices of its own, only the one review mentioning around 2000 euros. It names no designers. It gives no opening hours, directions, public transport or parking details for rue Adrien Lachenal. It does not state lead times for ordering a dress or for alterations, or whether the made-to-measure wording in its title means dresses are made to order or adjusted from existing models. The site is in French only and does not say whether appointments can be held in English.

Who It Suits

Mawulinam suits a bride in the Geneva region who wants a free, private appointment with the founder, a wide range of styles including plus-size and jumpsuits, and the option of dressing the groom, children and bridesmaids in the same shop. A couple from abroad should ask about prices, lead times and language before booking, since the site answers none of these directly.
