Samyra Fashion

Tap a star to rate

Samyra Fashion is a bridal and evening-wear business with a showroom at Austrasse 38 in Zurich, run by Samyra Fashion GmbH, and an online shop on the same site. It sells wedding dresses, registry-office dresses, evening, cocktail and ball gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories, and it publishes its starting prices: bridal dresses from CHF 459, registry-office dresses from CHF 399 and evening dresses from CHF 219. Fittings in the showroom are by appointment, with free personal advice, and final alterations are handled by a partner seamstress. The site says the business has been established in Zurich for over 18 years.

Prices a couple can actually plan with

The shop publishes several prices on its homepage and in its FAQ:

  • Bridal dresses from Fr. 459.-, with the price varying by cut, fabric and designer.
  • Registry-office dresses (Standesamtkleider) from Fr. 399.-.
  • Evening dresses from Fr. 219.-, with many models between Fr. 249.- and Fr. 499.-.

The shop links to a blog post on what you get for wedding dresses under CHF 1'500, and another on where to find evening dresses under CHF 300. The new-arrivals gallery shows evening dresses such as a strapless navy chiffon dress at CHF 279, a burgundy corset dress at CHF 399 and a lace dress with sleeves at CHF 479. The footer notes that all prices include Swiss VAT, plus shipping costs where applicable. This places the shop at the accessible end of the bridal market, and the evening-wear prices make it practical for dressing bridesmaids and guests.

Sizes

Size range is the other thing the shop leads with. Its FAQ says bridal dresses are stocked in sizes 32 to 52 and evening dresses from 30 to 60, and there is a separate category for evening dresses in larger sizes. "Auch grosse Grössen" (plus sizes too) appears in the site's header. The blog also carries a post on wedding dresses for pregnant brides, alongside guides on first bridal fittings in Zurich, boho wedding dresses, Mix & Match bridal wear and what to wear as a wedding guest.

What is in the range

The bridal menu lists wedding dresses, registry-office dresses, Mix & Match separates, bridal shoes, bridal jewelry, hair jewelry, veils, hoop skirts, ring cushions and pouches, boleros and stoles, garters and gloves, bridesmaid dresses and other bridal accessories. One bridal line is named, Brautmode von Bianco Evento, and there is a category of affordable wedding dresses. The evening-wear side covers evening, cocktail and ball gowns, shoes and handbags, jewelry, and labels including Ladivine by Cinderella Divine, Christian Koehlert, Luxuar Fashion and Gino Cerruti; the FAQ describes the range as running from budget models by Ladivine to designer dresses by Christian Koehlert. There is also a sale section.

Appointments and the showroom

The FAQ is direct about appointments: yes, you need one, because with an appointment the team can advise you personally and prepare suitable models in advance. You can request one through the contact form or by phone on 044 451 11 00, and the site also offers WhatsApp contact. Showroom hours, all by appointment, are Monday to Friday 13:00 to 17:30 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:00. The phone hotline runs Monday to Friday from 11.00 and on Saturday from 10.00.

The site lists what a visit includes: free personal advice on site, a large selection of bridal and occasion wear, fitting in a calm atmosphere, final alterations by the partner seamstress, and matching accessories such as shoes, jewelry and veils.

Alterations

The FAQ says final alterations are handled by the shop's partner seamstress "zu fairen Preisen", at fair prices, so they are a separate charge rather than part of the dress price. A dedicated tailoring service page (Schneider-Service) is linked from the footer, but the homepage gives no alteration prices or lead times.

Bridesmaids' apéro

Bridesmaid groups can choose and try on together and book an exclusive bridesmaids' apéro with it. The site states that if at least four bridesmaids buy their dress at Samyra Fashion, the SILVER apéro is free. The FAQ also points out that the shop has a wide choice of bridesmaid dresses and evening and cocktail dresses suitable for wedding guests.

Reviews

The site says Samyra Fashion is rated 4.98 out of 5 stars on Trusted Shops from over 1'200 reviews and has received the Excellent Shop Award for the fifth year in a row. The Google reviews shown on the homepage name two staff members, Tanja and Marco, and several are written in English, including one that reads "10/10 dresses and service. Tanja is a star!" Those are customer comments, not a statement from the shop about which languages it works in.

Buying online and from abroad

The FAQ says dresses and accessories can also be bought online, but the shop recommends trying them on in the showroom so you can feel the fabric, cut and fit. Shipping and pickup details sit on a separate payment and shipping page. For a bride outside Switzerland, the online shop means bridesmaid dresses or accessories could be ordered without a visit, but the site does not say on the homepage whether it ships abroad.

The website is in German. It does not state which languages the team speaks, so ask when you request an appointment.

What the site does not settle

  • Alteration prices and how long alterations take.
  • Delivery times for dresses that are not in stock.
  • Whether online orders can be shipped outside Switzerland, and return terms for online purchases (the site links to its general terms and a payment and shipping page).
  • Languages spoken in the showroom.
  • What the SILVER apéro includes, and the price of the apéro when fewer than four bridesmaids buy.

Who it suits

Samyra Fashion suits a bride who wants a published price floor, a wide size range and an appointment-based fitting in Zurich, and who may want to dress bridesmaids and guests in the same place. The registry-office dresses from CHF 399 are useful for couples marrying civilly first. The online shop adds flexibility for accessories and guest outfits.

It is less suited to someone looking for a small atelier with made-to-measure design; this is a larger operation with a web shop and many labels. Couples coming from abroad should confirm language, alteration timing and shipping before relying on it for the wedding dress itself.
