Mini Bildli is the face painting and belly painting business of Carla, who describes herself as a professional artist, illustrator and face painter. Since 2019, she writes, she has combined her artistic experience with face painting and creative event design, for children's birthdays, corporate events, celebrations, festivals, Christmas markets and large events "in Zürich und Umgebung sowie in der ganzen Schweiz" (in Zurich and the surrounding area as well as all over Switzerland). For a wedding, the most relevant offer is the Creative Duo, which pairs her face painting with a supervised craft station and names weddings among its occasions. She writes that drawing has been part of her life for as long as she can remember, and that Mini Bildli grew from the wish to combine her art with her life as a mother in Switzerland; the site footer names her as Carla Grillo. The site is in English and German, and the contact form accepts inquiries in Spanish, German, English or French.

Face painting and the service tiers

The homepage lists her services as separate offers. Face painting for small parties is for private celebrations and children's birthdays with a short service time, when only a few children need to be painted. Face painting for large events covers corporate events, family days, festivals, Christmas markets and larger events, and is available for bookings of 3 hours or more. Beyond those come Halloween and Carnival make-up for children, teenagers and adults, belly painting for baby bumps and baby showers, and courses.

Carla writes that she combines her experience as an illustrator with professional face painting techniques, and that "Every design is created with great attention to detail and a trained eye for colour, balance and flow." She also states that she works "with professional, vegan and dermatologically tested products" and places great importance on quality and hygiene. Those are her descriptions of her products; the site does not name the brands, so a guest with a skin concern should ask.

The Creative Duo for weddings

The Creative Duo is a collaboration between Mini Bildli and Handitas. Two activities run at the same time: professional face painting by Carla and a supervised craft station led by Jiovana, a graphic designer and the founder of Handitas, where children can cut, paint and make a small artwork to take home. In the site's words, "This allows the little guests to choose between different activities and enjoy a varied experience while the adults can relax and enjoy the event." The page says both activities are professionally supervised and that the children are personally supported throughout.

The page lists "Weddings & Wedding Celebrations" among the occasions it suits, alongside corporate events and family days, family and private celebrations, internal events, product launches and larger events with children. The price is published: CHF 300 per hour for the complete duo, face painting plus craft station, for bookings of 2 hours or more. For longer events, the page says the scope and level of supervision can be planned individually, and the setup can be adapted to the venue, the number of children and the concept of the event.

For a wedding, this is a real answer to a common problem: the children among the guests have something to do for a stretch of the afternoon or reception, with two adults looking after the activities, while the parents take part in the celebration.

Courses, seasonal work and belly painting

The courses are described in German even on the English homepage: "Face-Painting-Kurse und Workshops für Anfänger:innen, angehende Face Painter und kreative Menschen" (face painting courses and workshops for beginners, aspiring face painters and creative people). The site does not publish dates or prices for them. Belly painting is offered for baby bumps, baby showers and special moments during pregnancy, and the Halloween and Carnival page covers costume make-up for all ages.

Reviews and discounts

The homepage shows a Google review widget marked "AUSGEZEICHNET" (excellent) and "Basierend auf 129 Bewertungen" (based on 129 reviews). The reviews shown praise her designs and her way with children: one reviewer calls the designs "complex and meticulously crafted, with a truly beautiful finish" and Carla "very pleasant and, above all, trustworthy," another says she is "very kind dedicated and patient with kids." None of the reviews shown mentions a wedding.

With the KulturLegi card, the site offers a 30% discount on one hour of children's face painting or one belly painting session, for the family holding the card.

Booking

The contact page asks for the event location, the approximate number of children, and the date and time, and invites questions about availability and costs. Contact is by the form, by email at info@minibildli.ch or by phone on 076 760 5045. Carla is also on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

What the site does not settle

Only the Creative Duo has a published price; face painting on its own is quoted on request, so a couple should ask for the hourly rate and any travel charge. The site says it covers all of Switzerland but does not say how travel outside the Zurich area is charged. It does not state how many children she can paint per hour, whether adults at a wedding can be painted as part of the same booking, how far in advance to book, or what deposit and cancellation terms apply. It does not say how much space or what furniture the craft station needs, or whether it can run outdoors.

Who this suits

Mini Bildli suits weddings in the Zurich area, or elsewhere in Switzerland by arrangement, where there are enough children among the guests to need their own program. The Creative Duo at a published hourly rate is the clearest fit: two supervised activities side by side and a take-home craft for each child. The four inquiry languages make it straightforward for an international couple to get in touch.

The caveats are that the wedding use is one line in a list of occasions, that none of the reviews shown mentions a wedding, and that face painting alone has no published price. For a family-heavy wedding with a long afternoon, it is a well-organized way to look after the youngest guests.
